I wish I knew this existed a long time ago, it would have made my life so much easier! The ability to swap out modules depending on the storage/transfer needs is epic. I may get footage on SD cards one moment, then micro SD or XQD. I can swap them and transfer right to a solid state drive module that can be added into the Hub! My workflow went from 3-5 hours to less than an hour with one system. Which is not as expensive as I had expected it would be. This is going to be my go-to until everything transitions to solid state drives in the future.

I primarily photograph sports events and utilize 2-3 cameras at each event. The Lexar Hub allows me to simultaneously copy 4 memory cards onto my computer (in my case, via Photo Mechanic) and get to work culling the photos quickly and efficiently. It has become an invaluable accessory in my personal workflow and I highly recommend it.

When I purchased my first Workflow unit I purchased 3 individual card readers with the unit. I got the QXD but the other 2 have been on back order for months. It is not Adorama's fault. Lexae does not seem to be manufacturing the units. Purchasing the HR1 or 2 makes no sense If you can't get the individual card readers The XQD module works fine but Lexar does not seem to be supporting their product. Too bad.

I'm giving this 4 stars, because I know it will be a rockstar... however, i have not received the card readers yet (backordered) so i've not been able to actually use this product. I will update my review once the readers come in and I can use the hub :)

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you plan to use it with SD cards. The product is not available. I had emails back and forth from the company and this is what they stated on June 11th, 2018 " Jenifer B. (Lexar) Jun 11, 12:46 PM PDT Thank you for contacting Lexar. We are not manufacturing our products at this time because we are still in transition of new ownership. We do plan on manufacturing our products in the future; however, I do not have an estimated date of when production will start. That is my reason for returning the Tower. If and when they get going again I will certainly look at buying it again.

Awesome device. I feel much better knowing that I have a Lexar card reader. Photos are downloaded much faster than my previous device. I also like the fact that the readers are portable.

Before purchasing the HR1 hub, I was using the SDHC/SDXC reader as a standalone unit for my Fujifilm X-Pro2. (I use Lexar cards in the camera.) When I received a 512gb SSD as a gift, I decided to needed the hub. My only complaint is the overly bright blue LED on the hub. I have toned it down by overlaying a couple of layers from a Post-it flag. I immediately aw the SSD as useful storage for more than photos. Among other things, I edit three philatelic journals and maintain four active websites, and realized that I could temporarily store upcoming advance submitted by authors and clients before their turn came. This allows me to separate the "wheat from the chaff" through preëditing and sorting of illustrations before the job was moved into a project folder on my main external drive. I purchased a second 512gb Lexar SSD as a backup. This setup has helped me keep my production schedule on track If only there was a device to add more hours into the day!

I love the ease of use and portability. Secure and quick. The lights are pretty bright but resolved with some light block stickers.

As a wedding photographer, I go through media cards. Not only do I have my own cards, but I also have my second shooter. Even with 32 GB cards, I may fill 3 cards. If you watch the video, I was exactly the first guy, transferring my cards one at a time to my hard drive via USB 2.0. We're talking 40 GBs. It didn't matter that I have fast pro cards. With this workflow having 3 SD mods, I stick up to 3 media cards in at once and utilize the Class 10, UHS 1 card speed. I went from spending up to 3 hours transferring cards to 20 minutes for 40 GBs worth of RAW files. I'm sure switching to SSD helped a bit, but I know the USB 2.0 was the bottle neck. Any event photographer that goes through a lot of volume will love this unless they're already using multiple USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt 2 card readers. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THEY MAKE THE BACKUP SSD MODULES!!!

Took me a minute prior to purchasing to understand how this really works until I had 2 CF cards full of pictures that I needed to download. I like that you can configure the hub the way you want. The download is very quick.

I have been waiting for a product like this. This is a must have for any professional that wants to speed up their workflow. After a wedding shoot the first thing we do is download all images from CF cards to computer. Our team usually has 4-6 32gb CF cards on a typical wedding. Pop 4 cards into the hub, import all 4 cards simultaneously using Lightroom, by the time your cup of coffee is brewed the files are imported. We then scan through the images to pick out between 15-20 teasers shots for Facebook. Run a backup of the nights wedding images to an external drive then off to bed quicker than before. Purchase this product. It's a no brainer for the working professional wedding photographer that wants to increase their workflow speed.
