Lyson now offers a Continuous Ink System (CIS) which provides significant cost savings to the high-volume ink user. 125ml ink bottles, equivalent to 10 sets of ink cartridges, mean those with an eye for economy can print their digital images and scanned photographs for less.

The Lyson CIS is a well proven and reliable system, which was awarded 90% in a review in Practical Photography magazine. The review highlighted "Setting up is easy, the instructions are clear....getting the inks into the cartridges is particularly easy - a syringe and tube clips make the system almost foolproof and there's no need for any follow-up processes to get rid of any air-bubbles."

This new and completely unique method of printing monochrome inkjet images with full control of the hue - or subtle coloration - of the images will revolutionise the quality and flexibility of digital processes for making fine art black and white inkjet prints. Lysonic SG combines the flexibility of full-gamut ink sets designed for colour printing, with the uniform greyscale reproduction throughout the tonal scale afforded by non-hue-controllable "zero-gamut" monochrome ink sets (which combine black with a series of Grays, as do quadtone, tritone and duotone ink sets)

The Lysonic SG ink set uses a "Small-Gamut" (patent pending) approach that gives you the ability to impart precisely controlled coloration, or hue, to black-and-white images, in keeping with the modest hue and chroma range needed for a full range of black and white printing styles. The small-gamut ink set avoids the greyscale non-linearity - reddish highlights with greenish midtones and off-colour shadows, for example - that plagues black and white printing with full colour ink sets.

Using just this one ink set, you can have your choice of an almost limitless range of monochrome effects' all of which will be free of the many disturbing, unwanted colour artefacts that spoil black and white prints made with full-colour ink sets. You can switch papers at will and print with consistent coloration, or choose effects such as: selenium-toned silver; black and warm Grey duotone; warm-tone; cool-tone; absolute neutrality; split toned; or even localised colour effects!

Colour management and colour editing tools are fully functional with the Lysonic small gamut ink set system, unlike traditional, zero-gamut systems, so that your favorite digital tools can easily be used.
