Beautiful camera. The retro look combined with its potency make this a camera that is a delight to carry around and shoot with.

Lots of review videos mention the enjoyable user experience with the OM-3. Let me add my voice to chorus: This has become a camera I love to take with me everywhere. It is light enough with the very competent kitted Pro zoom, and has retro charm with enough interesting computational features to have fun with. The design is surprisingly thoughtful, accessing those features is simple and quick. Thankfully the OM-3 comes with the newer OM System menus, which are so much easier to use than the older Olympus versions. Great autofocus, wonderful OM System colors, and almost silent shutter. Very happy with my purchase!

I wanted something that was easier to bring while birding, and for that, it fits the purpose. I tend to spend 2-3 hours at a time outside and it has been satisfying to have a more lightweight camera for this. it is compact and half the weight of my dslr+zoom telephoto. It's not necessarily a con but it is a thing:the raw images have a rather unique grain to them reminiscent of film, especially when in low light conditions. Also, buy a second battery if you'll be out all day. also if you wear polarized sunglasses, you might have some limitations with the viewfinder display. pro: autofocus on the bird setting does a fairly good job at tracking birds but it does have its limits with distance, as with anything. Surprisingly, the camera and microphone perform pretty well and it has been enjoyable to get videos of some of these birds. I have this paired with the m.zuiko 100-400mm lens. they perform well together.

The OM-3 is the guts of the larger and heavier OM-1 Mark II, in a smaller and lighter camera. Perfect for traveling, especially with smaller lenses, as it has no hand grip. Lovely retro camera design. An easy camera to fall in love with unless you're a wild life photographer who uses long, heavy lenses.
