Museo by Crane is made in the USA and is a wonderful paper for special prints. I use the large 13x19 inch size and love the look and feel. The substantial weight really makes a difference and the colors have a terrific pop to them. Black and white images also benefit from the special coating that enhances those deep black values.

Although the Epson paper I had been using was quite good, this Museo Silver Rag is absolutely superior. It's indistinguishable from the finest silver-gelatin prints. Extremely satisfied with this product.

When it comes to photographic papers, there are just way to many brands and types to just sit back and say this is the best! Yet every now and then you stumble upon a really great paper; this is one of those papers.

Museo Silver Rag is the one paper that reminds one of those gorgeous gelatin silver prints we thought only possible in a darkroom. A rich cotton fiber based paper, the surface for black and white photography is perfect. Deep, rich blacks, great tonal range and easily toned if you are a platinum print specialist.

Paper is exactly what I want as far as tone, surface, etc. but it has a curl which needs to be flattened before placing in my Canon Pro-10.

Exceptionally good tonal range and color richness on this glossy photo paper. The slight surface texture on the otherwise glossy surface gives it good reflective qualities in gallery situations where pearl and luster surface papers tend to look hazy. The texture gives the surface just enough character to avoid the mechanistic feel of a mirror gloss surface, while still yielding deep looking blacks and sparkly highlights. The surface works especially well for landscapes and portraits. A high quality icc profile yields a white point of 98 and a black point of just over 1 on my Canon iPF8300 printer. Tonal separation in the darkest areas is excellent, and if you are a careful worker highlights can appear very bright. The 15 mil thickness is a little less than many comparable papers. This helps avoid head strikes from edge curl and longitudinal curl which is often a problem with thicker media. Quality control is excellent. This paper underwent some mechanical changes about a year ago, but all recent batches have been consistent. All in all a very rich looking and pleasant to use paper that feeds though my Canon printer with no problems, even in low winter humidity levels. One of the most satisfactory and least troublesome medias I have ever used. The surface takes lacquer coatings such as Premier Print Shield very well, with as little as single coat offering good mechanical protection from aggressive wiping with a wet cloth. Even uncoated prints are scratch resistant enough to survive in less than gentle production environments. Proofing for this expensive paper can done relatively accurately on Epson Premium Luster or Gloss, in so far as overall density and tonal distribution go. The main difference is that Silver Rag will yield slightly richer tonality in the darks and midrange, and brigher and better separated highlights. Of course for such proofing to be meaningful you need accurate profiles for both papers, done at the same time and on the same profiling gear.

i use Silver Rag to print small images in my gallery. i like the traditional look of the paper, and need the archival quality that my collectors expect. I've used this product for years and have been happy with the results.

I've been shooting ballerinas and needed a paper that was soft, yet held contrast and has a shimmering quality that I like. Museo Silver Rag is that paper. I bought it on Adorama's website and it arrived a few days later in perfect condition. I almost soley use Adorama for my equipment and printing supplies as they have the best prices, and the most responsive customer service.

I use this mostly for production of prints for gallery exhibition. This is heavy weight paper. The range of contrast one the paper is outstanding, from bright white to deep black. Most of my prints are black and white, however, the duplication of subtle color differences is handled well by this paper.

Museo Silver Rag is wonderful paper that strikes a fine balance between the warmth of natural fiber papers and the over-whiteness found with chemical brighteners. It has the heft and durability of 100% cotton rag. It has the texture of top-line emulsion photographic paper, and many viewers have thought my prints were made with conventional darkroom technique. I have found it is great for portraits and landscapes, both in color and B&W. It is my standard paper for fine prints. ,

The made-by-Crane-in the USA Museo papers are terrific. Silver Rag produces wonderfully bright, but tonally subtle, images in color and B&W from my HP Pro B9180 printer. The heavy rag archival stock loads well and has a fine 'hand' to it. The images are noticeably brighter than Museo 'Portfolio Rag', another wonderful paper with a softer slightly ivory tone that is great for soft pastel colors, sepia, or lower contrast B&W images. Silver Rag will probably become my first-choice exhibition / sale paper.
