I've been using this for film scanning mainly, and from the experience, a dedicated film scanner would definitely do a better job, but for a flatbed scanner, this is much better than average. I've only done a few quick document scans, which it does a very nice job with. The software is somewhat confusing, but I think that applies to most higher end scanners. Also, I just upgraded to Vista, and now I can't use this scanner until they release a Vista driver (I think it'll be around May '07)

I used the scanner for a PowerPoint production of a railroad presentation. It worked out very well.
