Reliable Brand Name Performance
I ordered in preparation for a corporate conference video gig and I am happy I bought the brand name. I was comparing this to the SmallRig version that comes with additional batteries, but I was hesitant. This original charger was able to charge my FX30 batteries pretty fast!

BC-QZ1 Battery charger
Just used the battery charger for my Sony NP-FZ100 battery which was at 50% charge. The led indicator illuminated one bar and the battery was fully charged in about 1hour 15 minutes. The led indicator is perfect for keeping an eye on the charge level as opposed to guessing progress. A really long cable just under 2 metre length is much more than I'm used to, but it's very welcome. It's just a pity that the battery charger isn't included with the camera but I do prefer it to using a usb C cable connection direct to the camera.

Quick and easy way to charge camera battery
I found charging my new camera from a USB port a little slow. I wanted my camera ready to go in the shortest time possible, so I got the NP-FZ100 mains charger and with a quick charge of a bout an hour I'm ready to go.

Necessary kit
For the FZ-NP100 batteries I would certainly recommend this particular charger. Being OEM it will certainly keep your original batteries going for a much longer period. My only gripe is that Sony does not include this as part of the package for it's cameras (you have to fork out $100 extra after getting the camera).

Quick Charging/Awesome Product
I like to use native accessories when I can. You definitely pay a premium when talking about anything that is a native Sony accessory but this was definitely a great buy.

Gets the job done!
You can use one of those Apple AC wall plug adapters instead of the long cord to make the unit a little less bulky, that has helped me! I like that the long cord is included though.

You get what you get
1stly, it is single battery: for the upcoming shooting day you need at least 2,
thus making the process sequential.
2ndly, it behaves oddly under 220v:
lights inaccurately reflect battery's state.
For a 100$ thing we have the right to expect
more.

Excellent Battery Charger
Best way to charge the battery for a7iii. Fast charging. No need to hook up to a computer. Works great. Wish Sony had supplied this charger with the a7iii camera. But have to buy separately, which is well worth the purchase.

It charges batteries!
Difficult to know how to review a battery charger. But, I can say that it does exactly what its supposed to do, it charges the batteries for my A7iii.
The point of my review is to try to get through to Sony, that this piece of equipment should be supplied with the camera!!!
Not as an optional extra, and certainly not for the extortionate price that is charged for it!
