Got the Mack 3 Year Extended Warranty as part of Adorama's launch/promotion package for Canon 6D. The 3-year extended coverage brings about peace of mind and since I have not used their repair service as of this review, I can't tell how well the warranty process works and I hope I don't have to find out. You do have to register the Mack Warranty within 30 days of the purchase (invoice) date. The registration process is simple but you must be careful when you enter in your equipment's model and serial number. Mack's web site does not give you a chance to review and confirm the information you've entered. You simply go through a 4-step process when you enter the information and once you hit the submit button, you are done. So make sure you check everything before you complete the process. You can go back to the previous step if you are unsure but you would loss all the information you've typed in during the current step. Not a big deal but the warranty registration process could certainly benefit from some user interface improvements.

Nice warantee coverage for the price. Internet registration was easy and package offers piece of mind on a fairly large purchase.

I have had Mack support for YEARS! I currently have my 5D out for repair on the last guarantee I bought. It's been over two weeks and still the camera is "in line for service". Don't know how long it will be, but I had a Canon 100-400mm lens go in for repair with Canon at the same time as the 5D went to Mack. The lens has been back for ten days already! Can't beat Canon for service but I would have had to pay for the 5D repair with Canon as it's out of warranty. Mack says their repair times run about 3 weeks. If they fix the 5DMkII at some point in the future, it'll be work[$]!

I buy the Mack warranties for insurance in repairing the camera after the normal warranty expires. Also, having the warranty on the camera at the time of resale or trade facilitates the transaction easier. I've had to use the Mack warranty in the past on a 40D camera that quit working. Mack had Canon repair and there was no charge to me. The repair was done quickly and the camera was like new.

Is necessity for D MarkII or any high-end products. However it needs to be registered is a down side.

I had to send in a Nikon camera several years ago and the camera was fixed and returned with out issue. This is a great way to protect your camera.

This is a good deal. Excellent price compared to the cost of the extended warranty from the products manufacturer. I just hope I don't need to use it.

The warranty form that was sent was an older version which made it sound like it was to late to register my camera. Once I called/emailed the sales representative it was cleared up and done so very fast and with GREAT communication. In fact, not only did the representative from Adorama communicate with me but so did MACK. I have not had to use it yet and really hope it will remain there for piece of mind, but the responsiveness from MACK gives me good feelings.

We ended up sending our Nikon D80 in for service under the Mack warranty three times before it expired. Make sure you keep all of your paperwork (warranty, invoice) together so that it's available if you need to send in your camera for service. You can process a service request through Macks' website very easily. We always got the camera back within 1 to 2 weeks (depending upon what parts were required).
