Multiple devices in one
An Insteon Wall Keypad is a unique blend of wall switch and multi-button remote control. When you replace your existing wall switch with an Insteon Keypad, you keep control of your light fixture while simultaneously adding remote control of other Insteon devices.
Wall Switch Replacement
The On and Off buttons take the place of your original wall switch. Tapping them controls your lights just as you would expect. On the Dimmer Keypad, pressing and holding even brightens and dims your lights.
Multi-button Remote Control
The four or seven scene buttons give you convenient control of other Insteon devices, either individual devices like an LED Bulb or Wall Switch or full groups of devices like every lighting fixture in your living room.
Remote control from your smartphone
With the Insteon Hub, your Wall Keypad takes on new life. It's never been easier to configure your keypad for a myriad of scenes. And best of all, you're presented with a virtual keypad for remote control - letting you control the keypad exactly as if you were standing in front of it.
As if You Were There
Tap on a keypad from the Insteon app and you're presented with a virtual replica - preserving your custom button labels and all.
Scenes
Insteon Keypads beg to be used with scenes and the Insteon Hub makes the process painless. Tap a keypad button on your smartphone and watch the action happen. Use the Insteon Hub to create and configure your scenes, too.
Configure
Add grace and elegance to your lighting but customizing your Dimmer Keypad's On Level and Ramp Rate. You can set a custom default brightness with On Level and specify a dimming duration with Ramp Rate.
Schedules
Does your Keypad control your outdoor lights? Why not put it on a schedule to turn on and off with the path of the sun. With the Insteon Hub, you can set daily schedules for your Insteon Keypads.
Control on Apple Watch
Of course you can turn your Keypad on and off from the Insteon App on Apple Watch - but you can also activate the scenes configured with your Keypads' buttons: any scenes setup in your home show under the Scenes button.
Remote control from another Insteon device
There's no reason your Insteon Keypad can't be controlled by as many devices as it controls. Insteon Keypads function just like Insteon Wall Switches when it comes to remote control compatibility - sharing everything from multi-way switching to remote control.
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8+ Way Switching
When it comes to multi-way switching, nothing is as flexible as Insteon . And when you add an Insteon Keypad into the mix, the possibilities explode exponentially. Without needing to install any extra wiring, your Keypad can participate in 3-, 4-, 5+ way switching with other Insteon Wall Switches and Keypads. You can mix and match keypads and switches to your heart's content.
Anywhere Keypad
While you can install an Insteon Keypad anywhere you have a light switch, sometimes the hard-wired locations in your home just aren't as convenient as your nightstand or coffee table. With Mini Remote, you can place a "wireless keypad" anywhere in your home and control your keypad from whatever comfortable or cozy location you best see fit.
Insteon Sensors
Adding a motion sensor to turn your keypad into an occupancy switch is easy. But why not take it further and use the scene buttons for informational purposes? Link all of the door and window sensors in your home to a button and instantly see if a door or window is open before you head for bed. Same works for the garage door - and with the Garage Door Kit, you can close the garage door if you've accidentally left it open.

Custom Button Etching
While you might be able to remember that "Scene B" turns on the living room lights and "Scene C" closes the garage door, your guests and your significant other will thank you for properly labeling your custom keypads. Large buttons can fit up to 28 letters of text, small buttons up to 14 letters of text.
