Light and sturdy, mostly

Great for travel and short telephotos. Not so great for heavier (Canon 100-400L) teles for wildlife, even though the combination (with Canon 7D) is within its weight capacity. Used with image stabilization, it worked well with heavier tele. Fits securely, unlike my heavier tripod, in my Tamron Evolution pack and travels well.
