For a product made in China this tripod will save you plenty over the big guys. If you want a Carbon and are in the Hobbyist/Enthusiast category, you won't regret getting this. Pair it with the induro DM23 ball head or the Manfrotto 808RC4 3-way pan and it's a great kit. Neat thing is it has set screws to further secure the head and base, wish the Manfrotto had the holes for the set screws.
Carbon 8X C-series carbon fiber tripods are light weight, fast action and offer ultimate strength along with reliable performance. They are made from the latest generation high quality, 8-layer carbon fiber tubing. The Carbon 8X C-series is 60% stronger than the conventional carbon fiber tripods.
