CRAIG A : what would be the best tripod to go along with this head? Mainly for product photography in the studio.WILLIAM H : I have this head on a series 3 Gitzo tripod Model GT3541L. This is a carbon fiber tripod. I am very satisfied with this combination. Works well with Kirk plates and L Brackets.KEITH C : I use the Induro CT414 8X Carbon Fiber Tripod and never have an issue. Always remember that the tripod is your foundation. Make sure it's plenty strong and tall enough for what you're shooting. If you try to skimp on the tripod you won't be happy with the results. Alloy or Carbon Fiber really shouldn't matter for studio work. If you plan on shooting in any wet areas or bad weather . . . go with Carbon Fiber. This is a large head and does everything Indro says it will. I shoot landscapes mostly with it and macro pan shots. You will love this head once you get the hang of using it. Hope this helps a littleTHOMAS K : I have the Induro CT314 carbon fiber tripod. It seems a good fit to me.JAMES K : The panhead was used only a short time. Kept catching things on all the handles so ended up buying the Really Right Stuff Ballhead, good decision, should have done that first.THOMAS C : The Enduro AT413 Tripod is an awesome match for the Induro PHQ3 Quintaxial head. It's an alloy tripod which is heavier than the Carbon Fiber tripod. This tripod is solid as a rock and love the adjustments.

Great Panhead

Great Panhead. Panoramic pictures are so much easier to take, regardless of the angle of the terrain. Just adjust the head with the provided levers and "voila"! The rotation of the camera will be on the perfect axle throughout the panning process. As one could adjust all axes separately, there is no more fumbling with the ball head (especially with a heavier camera/lens combination. The 2 handles that are sticking out can quickly be flattened for easy storage. I should have bought one of these a long time ago! This head can easily be used for video also.

Great if you're taking your time

I bought this head for my larger Induro GIT 404XL tripod, because I'd be using it for landscapes and could take the time to fine tune each dial separately. It is a bit heavy, but very convenient and has so many levels, you can't be unsure if you're leveled off. If you don't mind the weight and the time to use this head, it's a great buy.

Great tripod head for the price

Arca Swiss plates do not work with this head. My Kirk Enterprize Plates and camera brackets work well.

Tripod Head with Great Flexibility

I wanted a highly flexible head so I could use the camera at any angle/position. Mated to a Gitzo GT2541EX Series 2 6x Carbon Fiber 4 Section G-Lock Tripod, there is almost no positioning that is not possible. It may be too complex for some users, but I like it. Well made of quality materials, but still from [*]. Good investment.

Fast Response, Superb Construction

First full day I had it, I went to Millennium Park and shot for four hours at sunrise. The fast response of the controls made tripod work a pleasure again. Particularly during "golden hours" photography when the best lighting can last only seconds, this resposiveness is critical. The craftsmanship is felt instantly when picking up the product and securing it to the tripod. Quality in every area.

Incredible in many ways!

The first item I received had play in the forward/rear tilt so I contacted [...] Induro. [...] responded very promptly (it was a weekend), [...] Induro called right away and I sent the unit back to them. The response was "we need you, you don't need us" - I am going to use that - and they sent me a new one which arrived in 3 days. Problem solved. Rock solid and absolutely what I had hoped for in an alternative to a ball head. A great company and a great product!
