Looks right, feels right and works right

Well I went back to a pan head after using ball heads for awhile. The ball heads are OK for quick action but they are hard to control and forget about horizontal level! So here I am with this wonderful pan head that looks right, feels right (the handles could be a little longer) and works the way it should. Built tough to last, handles heavy equipment without any problem, has built-in level and is a perfect complement to my tripod.

solid head

I use this panhead with a 500 mm lens for wildlife photography. This heavy-duty head is great for that use. The pan knob is somewhat small and awkward to use - at least for my big hands!
