Nikon publishes clear information that says so, though I have no experience with your camera. Search for the filter, NC-40.5-Neutral-Color-40.5mm-filter, on Nikon's US site, -I'd give you a link but this forum doesn't allow it-, you'll find a compatibility chart listing the Coolpix P7700 Also, you may safely assume that since this standard filter attaches to your fixed lens camera, then any other standard 40.5mm thread (filter) will as well. Take some nice pictures! My BestETHAN O : Yes, it screws right on without a problem. For skylight (1A), you may like the B+W 66-023189. For neutral and general UV filters, I'm a fan of HoyaJOHN G : Jose, Yes thata filter does fit the Coolpix P7700. UV and Skylight filters only have a very minimal effect on digital images, as compared to film where they do have a noticeable effect. Occassionaly some images are too blue or green, etc. and can be corrected in Photoshop or Lightroom or other similar software. The only really useful filters for effects with digital are, 1) circular polarizer, 2) neutral density, and 3) graduated neutral density. Neutral density is useful to reduce the light to achieve low enough shutter speed for pictures of waterfalls to blur the water to make it look like it is flowing. Graduated neutral density filters are used to keep the sky portion of an image from being over exposed. The Nikon NC neutral clear filter is perfect for protecting your lens, and a UV filter could do the same, but may cost more, while providing no real advantage.

Dependable Filter

This is a reliable filter like other Nikon NC filters. It fits the 15-50 mm pancake, kit lens that comes with Sony A6000 & A6300 cameras.

Nikon filters are very good

Nikon filters are on the high end but their excellent quality makes them worth the money. The filter threads on cheaper filters sometimes hinder easy attachment of the filter.

Small Investment, large returns

I like to take photographs at the beach, and it's impossible to avoid sand, especially with the wind blowing, so this filter will definitely protect my camera. I'm just an amateur, and for varying reasons, I can't hold a heavy DSLR and maintain stability, so I use a Nikon P7700,which is perfect for me. I like to carry it in my purse on occasion and this filter protects my lens when the lenscap pops off, as it inevitably does. So all around, this was a great investment for me!
