Nikon BM-9, Replacement LCD Monitor Cover for the D700 Digital SLR Camera

I’m sure the cover is good, however, Adorama doesn’t have them in stock. If you place an order for this cover as I mistakenly did; (the item was not listed as being on backorder when I placed the order) your card will be charged. They say that your card will not be charged – but that is not true. I’m assuming they are going to attempt to reword charging your card by saying the money is on hold. Which is a charge on your card regardless of how they word it. Anyway, you’ll probably have to do what I did. I had to email customer service to inform them that Adorama will not be able to ship the order because the items I’ve ordered are not in stock. I mistakenly placed the order because the item I ordered was not listed as on backorder when I originally placed the order. On Adorama’s site, they insidiously mention that you should contact them by phone if you want to cancel an order. Look, if they are telling you to call you should. I’m going to interpret this as; “Hey, look at the way we do things here at Adoramas’, are inventory control is such that, we become aware that we need to restock when we allow customers to order items we don’t have in stock. We’ll say that we aren’t charging your card until we ship an order, but this is a crack-head play on words… we will indeed place the charge on your card and then say – the money is on hold. We don’t actually charge until shipping the item/items.” The money is on hold in Adorama’s bank account and if you don’t follow up you’ll lose that money. I have to now contact the bank to inform them that Adorama has the amount on “hold,” and that I have to cancel the order because they do not have the item I’ve ordered in stock. I will also have to follow up with Adorama about canceling this order because they are busy. But I’m not, I have nothing else to do, I have all the time in the world (as I suspect you do too) to jump through flaming hoops because I’ve placed an order with Adorama. They got me. However, if you don’t have the luxury of time as I do, buyer beware.

this is a replacement of the original one that comes with the camera, nothing could fit more It scratches easily though, better this than the LCD monitor

These inexpensive covers have saved my LCD screen numerous times. I shoot primarily on location so my camera gets it's fair share of exposure to the elements. I always have one or two spares in my camera bag just in case of an incident.
