Can't really rate due to it wasn't working properly on arrival. Maybe just a bad refurb.

I bought this camera to use with the band. However I always end up using my old camera as the L110 takes 95% blurry pictures. Even when you go through the documentation to reduce it, it never works. I would stay away from this camera. I'm looking to buy another camera.

I bought this for my job having used Nikon product before, this was a "no brainer". This is a quality built instrument that had the features I needed in order to shoot detailed photos of fine musical instruments as well as shots for repair estimates, insurance claims and for our website. I find the ergonomic design of the camera itself makes for a easy time shooting. The images are clear and the Function Icons are understandable. The downside is there is image degradation when the "low battery" icon appears. Usable image? Yes but on the grainy side.

I am a Quality Assurance Manager for a company that manufacturers industrial power conditioners, power distribution systems and uninterruptible power systems. I just bought three Nikon L110 cameras to replace old floppy disk cameras we use to document each unit we build and ship. My department was on a very limited budget and I needed cameras that could be quickly mastered by inspectors, would produce consistent results quickly and stand up to daily use. Currently, we have had the cameras for three weeks and are still on the learning curve. Our preliminary conclusion is that the L110's will do the job very well if they can take the heavy usage. Of course, it will take time to draw any conclusions in that regard. One thing we are finding is that we can take a sequence of photographs (15 to 20 exposures) much faster then the old Sony disk cameras (about 20% faster) because we do not have to experiment with exposure adjustments, turning the flash on and off, etc. Also, the 12.1 mgpx images allow us to do the job with fewer exposures because we can enlarge small details while maintaining sharpness. The old cameras were very low resolution and when we needed to see a detail long after a unit shipped to our customers, the photos were often useless. In summary, so far we are very happy with the L110's.

Great for traveling. With the zoom ability I could photogragh close up or very distant. Even took distant video's. One thing for Nikon: IT NEEDS A VIEWFINDER --- WE BABY BOOMERS STILL LIKE TO TAKE OUTSIDE PICTURES!!! Just because it is a point and click should not be grounds to opt out on a viewfinder!!!

Best camera for all family uses. It can be use from a little kid to grandma with no problem at all. Outstanding video HD capability with only a button so you dont miss any action or pic. The only advice it is to be carefull with the lens because it goes forward each time you turn on, so if the lens cover is in it you may have a little problem. And the battery and memory cover is a little tricky so it is better to not open it each time. For the price and quality and handling, it is difficult to find any better.

The Nikon Coolpix L110 Digital Camera (Black) produces images with up to 12.1 megapixels of resolution, and incorporates an amazing 15x wide-angle zoom lens. The 28 to 420mm lens allows you to get close-up and personal with far away subjects, but is still wide enough for tight spots.
Shooting in low light is not a problem with Nikon's exclusive 5-way VR Image Stabilization technology. This utilizes Sensor Shift, along with Electronic VR Image Stabilization. The cameras high sensitivity equivalent of ISO 6400, along with Motion Detection, and the exclusive Best Shot Selector (BSS) ensures that your photos will always look great - regardless of lighting conditions or subject movement.
For difficult image situations the camera offers 15 different scene modes. If you are not sure which to choose the Scene Auto Selector will make the decision for you. Nikon's Smart Portrait System ensures beautiful portrait and people shots by combining Nikon's innovative smile mode, Blink Warning, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, D-Lighting, and Face Priority AF technologies. Furthermore, the camera includes Nikon's Coolpix Software Suite for organizing, editing and sharing your photos.
When your subject is moving fast it is not a problem with this high speed camera. Capture 11.1 FPS 3MP still images at 20 images at a time. Or shoot 720p HD movies at 30fps with optical zoom and autofocus. The movies even have stereo sound with the built-in microphone. The HDMI output makes it easy to playback the movies on your TV or computer. The bright, high resolution 3.0" LCD screen provides a wide viewing angle and an anti-reflective coating that allows for easy composition and viewing of photos even in direct sunlight.
