I just gave my sweetie my much more expensive and very fine Canon Elph 100 and found this little Nikon fits my needs just as well, is easier to use with a nicer zoom. The Elph is a 5, but this is a real honey of a 4.5 at one quarter the cost.

I love the look, the feel, and the quality of the pictures. It is easy to use and natural feeling.

Had mine (Black body) for a little over a year. Great for indoor family events or other times when I don't want to drag out the dslr. Fantastic color rendition and very simple and easy 2get2 exp compensation control. No iphone camera beats these little S560's on pic quality or easy access for relevant controls. And you can't go wrong for the price.

I use the product in homes for my work. The field of view is much wider than the Canon that my company pays for. I can see much larger areas of the room with this camera. Plus, I have been able to blow up very large pictures - to 36" with excellent clarity and sharpness at [...].

This camera is great for simple family photos indoors and out. It does not produce professional looking pictures, and is not great at capturing landscape/scenery pictures, but it is easy to use and figure out.

I received this camera right before a family trip and it was simple enough to master on the car ride there. The resolution is nice, battery life is longer than I expected, and I love stowing it in my jacket pocket when I need my hands. The shake compensation and blink detector work perfectly. This camera definitely does everything I need.

The Nikon Coolpix S560 Digital Camera has 10.0 Megapixels for stunning prints as large as 16 x 20 inches. Sharp resolution captures the finest details, crop creatively and produce incredible enlargements. For shaky hands and low-light situations a VR image-stabilized Nikkor lens and an ISO max of 3200 ensures that no photo is missed because it is too dark.
Any shadowy photos can be recovered by the utilization of Nikon's D-Lighting built in to the camera and all of the best shots can reviewed on the bright and contrasty 2.7" LCD display. If happy faces have been difficult to capture, the smile activated shutter won't trigger until a healthy grin is shown.
This feature is backed up by a face-priority autofocus that scans an scene before photographing, selects the human subjects and no matter where they are within the frame, the camera will make sure their face is in focus. A blink detector checks for closed eyes, allowing you to reshoot in case someone had their eyes closed in the photo. Ultimately, the Coolpix S560 is a pretty nifty package for snap-happy photographers.
