I bought this camera in 2014. Liked it well enough. But this year (2016), it developed a focusing problem. Looking online, I found that others had the same problem. Have not gotten a solution from Nikon.

I bought a refurbished Niikon Coolpics S6800 point and shoot. The camera works well, the pictures are nice, and the service was great. The camera was delivered across county very quickly. This was for a granddaughter going to camp and it is perfect for that. She was so excited. And she got some nice and some fun shots. And Adorama did a great job with both price and delivery.

Excellent camera unless you happen to drop it from 3 feet. It completely went dead. Wouldn't buy it again!!!!!

I'm not in the professional photography business. Just someone that got tired of having to depend on my iPhone 6 to take pictures and eat up memory space. This little camera takes awesome pictures and videos. I love the fact that it's wireless too and that was a must for me and what ultimately made me buy this one. Connects to my iPhone (with Nikon app) just fine and does what I need it too do.

I have taken over 10,000 photos (counter just rolled over at 9999) with this camera since purchasing it in August of 2014. Wonderful camera, easy to operate, one hand operation and great photos with VR feature. The only problem is the view screen has become so scratched I can hardly see the photo displayed. I thought there may have been a screen protector covering the LCD screen & it needed to be taken off or replaced but that is not the case. I’ve had many similar cameras in the past that do not come close to the superior photo quality of the S6800 and none of them has ever had the display screen scratch like this one. I use a soft cell phone case on my belt to keep the camera in when not in use. Nikon could have done a better job protecting the LCD screen. No other issues to report other than I would buy it again but this time also purchase a screen protector before putting in service.

I have been using my Nikon S6800 now daily for over six months and I truly enjoy using this camera. I take anywhere from as few as 6 pics to 400 pics per day and this camera performs extremely well; whether in bright sunlight to near total darkness. (Not every pic comes out perfect....but since you are just "burning up" pixels vs film, it costs you nothing to take several pictures in order to attain the "perfect shot"). And the occasional videos I shoot are surprisingly good, even the sound is recorded quite well without using an external microphone. The accompanying software takes just a little time to master and transferring the pictures to your computer is as easy as plugging it in using the included USB cable. You also have the option to upload your pictures to an IOS or Android device (e.g., an iPhone, iPad, etc) wirelessly via WI-FI, which is a very cool feature. You can also use your phone as a remote control for your camera so you can place the camera on a tripod near what you are photographing and you can take pictures or videos from several yards away (such as closeups of a busy bird feeder). Just place the app on your phone and off you go! One handed photos are easily done and the VR (Vibration Resistance) really helps getting nice, clear pictures. Navigating the menus takes a bit of time and experimenting but once you spend the time to learn everything this camera will do for you, you will be rewarded with pictures that are a big cut above the everyday snapshots most people take, especially cell phone photographs. I have almost completely stopped using my phone to take pictures anymore since this camera takes up no more room in my pocket than my cell phone does and it absolutely outdoes the phone in performance and features, readily available by navigating the menus. I do not go anywhere without this camera...my iPhone is just used for phone calls now :-) (and yes, for occasional remote control of the camera). This is one of the best purchases I have made in quite some time, getting a great camera that takes GREAT pictures, is easy to use, is so portable and unobtrusive that if anything ever happens to this camera (loss, unrepairable damage, etc), I would not hesitate to immediately purchase another one.

I've owned the same Samsung camera for about five years now and it was also my first camera. When I received the S6800 for Christmas last year I was impressed with not only how well the pictures take but also with the built in editing software that comes along with the product since I don't have the software on my laptop to edit pictures that I take. After I finally figured out how to change the ISO and white balance, I was even more happier :) this is a product I'd recommend buying if you are looking for a digital camera because it has it all and more than I expected

if you have enough light and can hold it perfectly still, you can get some nice shots, otherwise it can produce grainy/ blurry shots. don't expect to do much cropping due to the graininess. i wanted a small camera i could always carry so bought this. i normally use a dslr. video looks pretty good but the mic is worthless and there is no port to plug in a good mic. kind of slow between shots and focus. if you spot a moose next to the road, by the time you get this camera out, turn it on, zoomed and focused, the moose will be long gone. forget about anything faster. for family pics, shots of the new motorcycle, etc., it is ok. about what i expected for the price.

I tried other point and shoot camera's from other manufacturers. In the same category this surpasses my expectations. Easy to use, clear pictures, wifi, and my iPhone loves it!

I bought this camera from Costco in California and i got it for $ with a case and a 4GB SD Card. I have pretty much used all the features and i think this is a great camera!!! I have already recommended a lot of my friends to buy this camera as well.

This camera is easy to use, great in low light ( much better than my more expensive Nikon models) and seems to take great pictures. The big problem is that is died after one week and after all the hassles trying to get it repaired I returned it,

I received my coolpix s 6800 yesterday. It charged up in about an hour. The panoramic setting doesn't work and the battery only allowed me to take less than 20 pictures before it died. I went to charge it up 3 hours ago and it still hasn't taken any charge. I will be sending it back.

Or, select Scene Auto Selector and let the camera choose the best mode for your situation.
High-performance CMOS image sensor lets you shoot without a flash
Imagine being able to shoot without a flash at weddings, concerts, parties anywhere your flash normally fires. You won't have to interrupt a moment to capture it, and your photos will look more natural and true to your memory. The COOLPIX S6800 performs so well in low light situations that, in most cases, using the flash is optional. Of course, when the lighting is extremely poor and you need a flash, it'll be there.
