It was worth the wait! The cross strap makes camera secure, but also distributes the weight. I?ve used many carrying systems in the past & this is the best.

Nikon P1000 case

Good fit to P1000 Coolpix camera. Zippered extension at base allows one to keep the sunshield installed, which also protects the lens. Minimal pockets, but adequate.

Nikon quick draw, carry case.

The case fits snugly, even with the tulip shade reversed on the lense. Not much room for anything else. I like it.

Fits like a glove.

Finally a protective case that really fits the Nikon P 1000. Although youhave to reverse the sunshade to fit over the lens for the case to close.

Nice protective bag for the P1000

The P1000 is a large and slightly odd shaped camera. This bag is a nice snug fit for the P1000 and has a few pockets for SD cards, lens wipes, etc. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because for the P1000 to fit in it you have to unzip an expansion section at the lens end which extends the bag an inch. The protection provided by that expanded inch is not padded like the rest of the case. If you keep the lens hood on the lens it's not an issue as that gives added protection.

Perfect fit

The P1000 has a particular shape and this is the only custom made bag that can protect the camera. Highly recommended.
