Trusted Supplier

I was looking for a used Nikon so I could attach to my long lens and take advantage of the crop factor. I almost bought something on Amazon but that can you always trust the supplier? By buying a refurbished Nikon from Adorama, I knew all would be well--and it has been.

refurb Nikon D3200

The camera looks brand new and works flawlessly. Very impresses. It was less expensive than getting my other D3200 repaired due to an accidental drop. Would get another refurbished camera again in the future. Camera came promptly.

The results are amazing

Purchased D3200 from Adorama at great price.Prompt delivery in excellent condition. Like new. The results are amazing with the new processor and 24mp resolution. I would recommend this as a best buy upgrade. Most people shoot new flowers. Here's what happens to the flowers after a couple of weeks. Love this camera. Mel

Great For Family vacation

For almost 2 years I have been using D3200 with both lenses 18-55 and 55-200 is has remarkable color caption when natural light is available. while in low light you will not get the best results but still it is in the good range. for this price you get very good results

Great basic camera

I would definitely recommend this camera. Easy to use, takes great pictures, accepts multitude of Nikon lenses. My primary camera is a D 300 that I bought new when they first came out. Still an outstanding camera.

Needed the megapixels

I have a couple of nice, older but expensive Nikon lenses and just needed more megapixels so my product photography could be blown up to a larger size. I don't do a huge amount of product photography so I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg but still wanted to use my good Nikon lenses. The Nikon D3200 did the trick for me. I set the new camera to ISO 100, blazed away and ended up with some very nice photos that can be blown up to wall sized graphics..

Great camera for the Great American Eclipse!

I ordered this wonderful camera just in time for the Great American Eclipse! It was at the perfect price point for me at the time and the camera worked flawlessly. Adorama provided excellent service. I highly recommend their refurbished stock as a very reasonable alternative to spending big bucks for a brand new camera. I attached two pictures of the eclipse I took with my beloved "new" camera from the Cherokee Reservation in NC.

Very Nice DSLR to start with

I was using fixed lens super zoom cameras but then needed to upgrade again due to my photography expanding more and chose this as my first DSLR with the 18-55mm kit lens that came with it. I have since purchased the 55-300mm lens for it and am really satisfied. Now I am looking at more equipment again since joining a local photography club now.

You get what you pay for

I bought this some time ago at a refurbished price. It seemed fast and quiet, which I liked for photographing animals -- my higher end DSLR made considerably more noise. When the SD card jammed in the slot, I had quite a time to remove it. And then I could not get the camera to hold the SD card in place. Following up with a repairman who came highly recommended, I was told the repair would be expensive and that Nikon's low end has seen a great deteriorization in quality. I treated it with great care. I would how many times a given D3200 for sale has been refurbished.

Very decent for price, overall good camera and kit

The D3200 is a very decent camera for those who are just getting into the DSLRs. It has almost everything that is necessary to take good photos, and its image quality is more than ample for most amateurs and semi-pros. I personally have taken over 10,000 pictures with my D3200 and I have not had many issues, however I have had a very minor bug that is intermittent, but it has had minimal impact and I simply believe that it is present only in my individual camera (only reason this is not a 5 star). It does not have all of the accessories of the newer and more expensive models, like a swivel touch screen, but it performs incredibly well without them and does what a camera is meant to do, and it does it well. The live view mode auto-focus is a bit slow, but that is expected in most DSLRs without dedicated video focus sensors. The lenses themselves are adequate for the casual user, but would recommend upgrading to better quality lenses if you wish to go further into the hobby. The 18-55mm lens gives reasonably good images, with some noticeable distortion on the extremes of the lens. The 55-200mm lens seems to have issues with blur caused by camera shake at moderate shutter speeds (due to lack of VR), and would recommend a tripod for this particular lens. This lens also has some distortion on its extremes, but not extremely noticeable to casual users. Both lenses are a bit lacking on contrast and saturation, but can be corrected with post-processing, and is not extremely noticeable to casual users, especially with the processing done with the jpeg software inside the camera. The handbag is excellent, with several storage sections for accessories and the manual; would recommend getting a larger bag if you plan on purchasing larger accessories.

Great camera

I've been using Nikon SLR cameras since 1978 and added the D3200 2-1/2 years ago. It has great picture quality and easy to navigate settings. It has multiple focus settings that allow for nearly any situation. It can be used in fully automatic mode, manual mode and several modes that fall in between. It's ISO range is adequate for most any lighting. It is light and easy to handle. I often leave my larger Nikon cameras in the bag and carry this one because of its compact size and light weight. The DX format offers affordable, quality lens options for the amateur enthusiast. I added a D7200 a few months ago and interchange lenses back and forth. A nice thing when considering a camera that you may upgrade someday.

D3200 lightweight and adequate

Refurbished body was fine and camera operated properly. I usually shoot with D300, but wanted a lighter weight body for some situations. D3200 is good for this, however it does not auto focus with my Nikon Fisheye10.5 mm 1:2.8 G nor will it autofocus with my Tamron 200-400 1: 5.6. Both of these lenses autofocus with the D300. This was not made known to me in the ad or phone call.

Awesome entry-level DSLR!

I received the D3200 18-55mm VR kit for my birthday last year, and this camera is perfect for those starting out in photography. The controls are very easy to use, the menu layout is very easy to navigate, it's compact and light enough to carry in a small shoulder bag with two lenses and a few accessories, and is very easy to set up and configure quickly for different photographic occasions. The only downside is that the D3200 can NOT autofocus with a standard AF Nikkor lens; it can autofocus ONLY with an AF-S Nikkor lens. It produces sharp, natural, vivid photographs every time I use it.

A very good camera

I bought it because I wanted to make a leap in digital cameras, pass my Nikon 1 J1 to the Nikon D3200 was a very good choice. A powerful camera to its range. Its dynamic range and color depth is optimal, together with its 24 megapixel camera has given me excellent results in my work as an advertising photographer.

Love!

I'm so glad I got this camera, it has really helped expand my knowledge of photography!! It took a while playing around with different the iso, shutter speed and aperture settings, but once I got that down i was able to create beautiful pictures. It has really has made my love for photography a lot bigger!

Disappointed

I ordered this camera as a second to my D7000. I knew it was refurbished by Nikon so I expected it would be OK. The battery arrived totally dead and the battery charger was inoperable. I truly expected more from Nikon! The box the camera arrived in had the entire lid torn off so the camera was basically sitting in the open box although it was packed in a bigger box. Very shoddy work. I won't be buy any more refurbished merchandise any time ever.

Great camera for the price

I received my camera about a week after ordering. I placed my order during the Christmas rush so it was to be expected. Once I received my camera, which came via USPS without a signature, so make sure you are home the day it is due to be delivered. I excited opened the box and read all the materials that came with my new equipment. The camera was very well packaged and safely double wrapped in bubble wrap. I started using it immediately, taking photos of my little fur babies. For a refurbished, it works like a dream. No scratches or any signs of use. Excellent battery life. This is a perfect camera for a starter DSLR or just a good quality camera for family vacations. Highly recommended.

Excellent value and image quality

Purchased this kit as a request for a small camera with interchangeable lenses. The other option was going mirrorless and buy a different brand. After discussing the true weight of both systems, this is the best startup kit for future upgrading. One of the criteria was the flash system and having 30+ years experience with Nikon cameras and flash (I'm a big flash person), you can't get the accuracy in quick situations with any other brand camera/flash system. We used my SB910 for the flash pictures and I recommended the SB500 as a starter flash. Remember this is a compact entry level camera and does not have some of the menu options or features of more expensive cameras.

Excellent for Experienced photographers and new!

I bought the Nikon D3200, just getting into photography, and I had heard that the D3200 was great for beginners. They were right! This camera is easy to use whether you're experienced or just touching a DSLR for the first time and is even EASIER to use thanks to its integrated GUIDE mode. It is a very affordable DSLR and one of the bigger things that sold me about it, is that it has a mic input which I like because I often use it to shoot video.

Great beginner lense

I developed an interest in photography and received this camera and both lenses for my 15th birthday. It has fulfilled all of my expectations and does everything I need it to do. I mostly take outdoor shots -- flowers, trees, landscapes, etc. -- a lot of magnification, which it does wonders with. Images are sharp and clean and the color and background blur are phenomenal. It's easy to focus and achieve desired results.

Great Camera for a Novice Like Me!

I purchased this camera to step my game up. I own a Coolpix and like it but wanted more natural looking pictures. I must admit it is little more work but it pays off in the long run. The pics come out great and are more detailed. Makes for better prints. I am by no means a professional but this camera helps me along the way.

Love , hate relationship

I love this camera I own 2 Nikon cameras and 5 lenses. The pictures are beautiful the only down fall of this camera is the battery. This is the second time I have had this issue. It frustrates me to no end, I was doing a graduation shoot ( battery was full) and dodo me left the battery inside the camera (it was not on) when I got to the next location about 50 minutes later it was dead. I was beyond mad that in just that short time it had drained. Not very happy at this particular moment in time. If a Nikon person reads this please tell me why it does that. Considering I have the D80 also and it has never done that. Thanks for taking time to read my long review

With the announcement of the Nikon D3200, Nikon has raised the bar for image resolution in the sub-$700 camera category. The Nikon D3200 combines a 24MP DX-format (APS) CMOS sensor with a feature set that's designed to please snapshooters who are stepping up from point-and-shoot photography and for more serious shooters looking for a low-cost second body. Nikon's popular Guide Mode, which was introduced with the D3000, offers on-screen guidance for beginners and holds your hand as it allows you to explore the camera's range of creative picture-taking options. Full HD 1080p video capture should appeal to budget-conscious videographers.

The camera is lightweight; it is well-suited for soccer moms who want to capture Junior's sports activities with its 4 fps burst rate. The Nikon D3200 is compatible with a new WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter ($59.95; also available for pre-order), which can send images to mobile devices like smartphones and tabletsand let you control the camera remotely from your device
