Sturdy and lightweight camera with understandable controls. Takes great images or you can get more creative with it as you wish. Great for scenic and wildlife, especially for the budget minded.

Great camera. Right of the bat, it had a great physical aesthetic, felt good in my hands. But as I started using it, it wouldn't stop getting better. It was amazing, and still is. I'm learning to use it better now, but I've noticed that in every video I watch about the Camera, there's a cover that's supposed to go on the lens area of the body of the camera, and through a manual I learned that i'm supposed to get it with the package, but I never did. I just wanted to know who I can contact for inquiring about this, but still a great camera.

Great camera! It has many features that allow me to be creative with my photography. Images are clear and the colors are vivid. It is easy to use and will serve me well as I continue to pursue my hobby. Take advantage of all that Nikon offers through the stories and "how to" guides sent by email, the free downloadable post-production software and the Nikon Image Space. I enjoy using this camera and look forward to expanding my use of its features.

Loving this camera, although I haven't had a lot of time to use it lately. I'm shooting on Auto only because I'm returning to photography after a 20-year absence. Love the 24+ megapixels in the camera. They've enabled me to enlarge, cut, and crop, and immensely improve my pictures right in the camera. Can't wait to get out for more shooting...there's no telling how good it can be!

Good AF system and image quality. I am not disappointed at all for my first DSLR D3400. It gives nice images what I expected. I have fallen in love with Nikon. I am thinking about next DX body DSLR to upgrade for more satisfaction.

My very first picture with my camera out of the box was amazing. I took a pic of my son with this camera straight out of the box with auto settings and got amazing clarity with the first photo. I have dabbled with point and shoot cameras in the past but nothing compares with this dslr camera. The delivery time for this camera was great. I wouldn't give a second thought on making another purchase from Adorama. Thank goodness I done a random web search for d3400 and found this website.

I have always been interested in digital photo editing and have recently wanted to use my own photos as material. I got the d3400 after researching the best starter dslr for the price. I am not disappointed! It came it a zoom lens that has been great for everything from portraits to most real estate photography (I would need a wider angle for bedroom shots but the zoom lens works great for detail shots and photographing larger spaces like kitchens and living rooms). It also has a very great low light quality, even for a beginner. Photos have very little grain to them.

I bought the D3400 with no real knowledge of DSLR cameras. This camera has allowed me to start learning how to shoot in manual mode and about exposure triangle without spending a lot of money.

Purchased the camera as a "Kit" at Fort Jackson Exchange. Kit included carry case, battery plus a spare, battery charger, an 18-55MM lens, and a 70-300MM lens along with a 32gb SD card. I've had a chance to do a short trip with the camera and several near home photo opportunities. The camera is easy to operate. I've mostly used the AUTO mode but have tried other features as well. I am so encouraged by the cameras features that I purchased an aftermarket book that explains in detail and with lots of photos the various photo methods and uses. The Nikon web site and the Nikon users forums have also been a first line of instruction. My D3400 has been and I fully expect it will continue to be my go-to device. I ride with the Patriot Guard, Hannah and I travel a bit, mostly day and/or weekend trips. I belong to STAR Touring and Riding, the Fleet Reserve Association and while I am still an amateur photographer I get some very nice comments on my pictures. Bottom line: I am loving my Nikon D3400!

My daughter and husband are phone photographers With their life moving along they needed real pictures of real events I set this camera up on idiot proof and turned them loose. If they want they can progress in photography with this camera, but in the mean time they are taking beautiful pictures of their beautiful lives. I am looking forward to them covering the front of their refrigerator with memories. The package was great. The camera does need a usb cord, be sure to order one.

The nikon d3400 is a good beginner camera, and easy enough for students to work with as they understand the shutter and aperture functions. It is small and lightweight as well.

I have been out of photography as a hobby for several teaars and decided to start back. After doing my research I decided on the Nikon Nikon D3400 kit bundle offered by Adorama. My previous camera was a film Nikkormat FT-3 and was familiar with manually adjusting it. When my new D3400 arrived I ws overwhelmed by all the features it had. I read through the instruction manual and decided to place the camera in the full manual mode, click! - I was off and running just like the old days with my Nikkormat. It is and excellent unit and I would recomend it to anyone. Not only is the camera great, but also the customer service at Adorama. Due to a mix up by me I accidentaly ordered two of these fine cameras online. I did not realize this until after they were shipped. I immediately contacted Adorama and explained the situation. The customer service agent corrected my mistake and turned one of the cameras around in mid-shipment and refunded my credit card account - kudos Sara ! Here is a couple of image I made with the D3400.

I read reviews for days before I decided to purchase the Nikon D3400 and I was not disappointed. There are plenty of videos to help you learn how to use the camera and have fun with your hobby or profession. I am new to photography not using a phone and this camera has a great auto mode to use while you learn how the manual operation works. I could not be happier with the camera, it takes great pictures! I would highly recommend this if you are new to photography and want to learn without spending a small fortune. Thanks Nikon :)

It's a great little machine for learning and introducing ourselves to the world of photography. It has a great sensor (used on more expensive cameras) and a great overall quality. The design is great, it's light and you are able to complete your set with a great variety of lenses from Nikon and other brands. I'm loving it!

I had long sold my previous DSLR-had gotten 'another' brand and wasnt happy- and thought I would stick to just a superzoom point and shoot, but then saw the D3400 double lens kit and thought, why not! Am super glad I did, not only is a great way to get back into hang of DSLR's, being easy to use and handle, but also takes fantastic pics!! Well worth it!

I was a wedding photographer years ago and had to change professions. Now that I have free time, I wanted to capture my joy of photography again. I did so by purchasing this camera. First let me say that Adorama was great in putting together a great package for me to start shooting. The camera, Nikon D3400 is quite different from my 35mm Nikons I had in the past. But this camera is great! It takes great photos and I am extremely please with the camera and the accessories. I did my first portrait photo shoot and the camera was beyond my expectations. What a thrill!

Own a D 60, however the D 3400 offers many more features to produce even better photography. For example, live view, more pixels,ISO, ETC. However, I do miss the self cleaning possibility.

Excellent Entry-Level DSLR
By EdgarJLR
This is my first DSLR camera ever. I've read tons of reviews for many different cameras from all types of brands and I could never decide. For some reason I decided to get the Nikon D3400, something told me it was the right choice and it was part of a bundle as you might've seen already, which is pretty awesome, and so far I couldn't be happier. It is an excellent machine for somebody with little to no experience. Easy to use, easy to understand, great results. I will definitely have fun for ...

Great Step up from Smartphone Camera
By FamilyMan
This D3400 DSLR is the perfect upgrade from a smartphone camera. For beginner photographers used to point and shoot, this camera is a nice bridge between the ease and convenience of a smart phone camera, and a traditional DSLR. This camera does not have the image quality of a $3k Nikon, but it is able to create some amazing color, depth, and image reproduction. This camera shoots higher resolution, and better image quality than the comparable Canon T6, but is not without a few faults. This ca...

Before the D3400, you chose your smartphone camera for convenience. Zooming was clumsy. Shooting in low light was nearly impossible. Capturing fast action was a game of luck. But after the D3400, you'll see that you were compromising image quality. That some of the greatest photos happen when the light is low. That fast action can be frozen in perfect clarity. And that a camera and a smartphone can work together in harmony to make the photos you share absolutely amazing.
Photos and videos captured with the D3400 and a superb NIKKOR lens are as vibrant and lifelike as the moments they preserve. Shoot in extremely low light without a problem.
