I?m a photography noob. I researched cameras and got a lot of advice before investing though. Originally, I was looking at The Nikon850 to grow into. I decided on the 3500 because of the weight, size and versatility. The 850 is a beautiful camera with a few more whistles and bells but I do not feel like I?m missing out with the 3500. I can shoot in automatic mode while learning the ins and out of the technology. The menus are easy to navigate. I love how lightweight and portable this camera is. I invested in a micro-lens and some HOYA filters but otherwise the kit and zoom lens the camera came with have served me really well. I?ve gotten some beautiful shots and barely leave home without it.

This is a lightweight and good intro camera for 35mm digital photography for beginners. It's easy and fairly intuitive to set up and use.

Camera and lens kit showed up a week early. Standard package and bubble wrap from Nikon, well packaged by the folks at Adorama. The D3500 is a welcome addition to the camera family as it?s light weight and ergonomically correct design will make using and carrying it much easier and simpler for these old hands. I was so impressed with the kit that I followed up and ordered an 18/300 mm Nikon zoom from Adorama. I believe this is my travel camera & lens going forward. I?d recommend this setup for anyone looking for great value in a mid range DX camera.

My wife was blown away when I surprised my her with the Nikon D3500 for our anniversary. It is a very capable camera, and should be all the camera she would ever need. The two lenses that came with it cover a wide range, and provide very sharp, detailed images. There are scores of tutorials on YouTube to help someone explore the many capabilities of this camera. We are both very happy with the purchase. You can?t beat Nikon for combination of value and quality, well worth the money.

It has perfect modes for optimal photography. And it is highly recommended for a newbie photographer. Apart from the kit lens 70-300mm is best for outdoor shooting.

I am very happy with the D3500. It takes some time to figure it all out but it is light and easy to get to all the buttons and shoots forever on that battery. It’s nice you get everything you need in one package.

Very good kit. Two lenses make it easy to change photo topic. Nikon makes lens changes fast and easy. Auto mode allows shooting pics right out of box. The other modes need done train up. Nikon has video tutorials to help and plenty of info on YouTube

I am very happy with the Nikon camera I purchased. It is easy to learn with the free classes Nikon is offering right now. I also believe it was a better priced package compared to many of the other companies that I looked at. This package gives you the essential accessories needed for first learning photography where as others are more expansive and give you items you may not necessarily need at first.
