I got the D5600 because my car was broken into and my D3300 was stolen and it wasn't being sold any more back in 2020. This camera has been amazing to improve my skills! I've done so many different styles of photos with it. Long exposure astro, rocket launches, birthday parties, my mother in law's wedding, my nephews sporting events, wildlife, you name it!

Such a great camara. I bought it last year, I dont use it that much but the quality of both, photos and videos are the best. Nikon is a great brand, it gives you the possibility to download the pictures directly to the phone.

I purchased the Nikon D5600 in April 2022 as my second dslr camera. I knew I was still in "entry level" area, but I needed to learn more before deciding just how far I was going to get into digital photography. Am I ever happy I went with this camera. This is one tough little camera and very capable to boot. The light weight and compact size make it ideal for a dual camera bag and utilizing it for long periods of wildlife photography. It was easy learning the basics and intriguing learning special features. Because of the D5600 I am now seriously considering buying the Z8 hybrid. If (when) I do this little workhorse D5600 will definitely be in the bag as my backup. Nikon, you need to keep making this thing!!!! I've frozen a lot of hummingbirds with it.

I've been using (many) Nikon products since the mid 60s', never had a problem. I'm semi-retired now and don't do photography professionally any more. So I got tired of lugging around heavy equipment and bought a D5600. Worked great for a few months. Took pictures of my grandsons football game today, downloaded the files, and when I went to put the card back in the camera it said "no card available". I called my proffered camera dealer. He said it would cost about $200.00 in repairs and take at least a month.

The 5600 is my first "real" camera-- not a point and shoot. I have had it for a few years and have been learning how to use it as I don't use it everyday. I have taken it to Europe, Utah and other places for photographing trips. I took a local photography class to learn how to shoot in Manual, which was extremely helpful as I did not know anything about that. I have really enjoyed this camera and the more I learn, the more I enjoy it. I added a couple of lenses over time, the 50mm, the 12-20 mm wide angle and the 18-200 for everyday. I have fun trying out the different lenses and seeing what they can do. If you want to start photography, this is a good camera to start.

Having owned several cameras in the last 35 years from Pentax, Canon and Nikon, I have found that Nikon is my favorite choice of camera. I have owned the Nikon Cool Pix and the D3100. I have used the D3100 for 10 years without any issues and decided to upgrade to the D5600 because my lenses would swap over to the the D5600. I have enjoyed the camera and all the features, especially the monitor which is very user friendly. Camera grip is firm and the thumb wheel is a great way to review previous taken photos.

Amazing camera. It marks my return to photography since film collapsed. This camera is way smarter the I am, but I hope to catch up. I would recommend this camera to anyone. You can beginning taking pictures right away but there is so much more. Be prepared for a fun learning curve and don't hesitate to ask more experienced photographers for help. They generally love to help newbies.

Camera meets all expectations thus far. I have not shot many pictures yet and cannot give good feedback on picture quality. One downside for me is the slimmer grip is not as comfortable for my hand.

I did a lot of research before choosing the Nikon D5600. I just wanted a new hobby and decided to take up photography. I even upgraded my cell phone to support the camera. I don't have any problems using the Snapbridge although the WiFi sometimes takes few minutes to connect. It seems to have an easier time hooking up when I am away from the network at my house. Every photo I have snapped is instantly on my phone and my Nikon Image Space account. I like the way the D5600 feels in my hand. I adore the articulated touch screen. That feature alone is the reason I chose this camera over the D3500. The controls on the camera work well with me. This might be because I am not comparing the camera with any other camera. The included 18-55 AF-P VR kit lens seems to be of a really nice lens. I am saving up for my next lens. The AF-S 35mm f/1.8. I have read the reviews. I am really liking my new hobby because I chose a great camera to start with. The only things about the kit that I am not thrilled about are camera strap and the white piece of plastic rear lens cap. Those two issues have already been remedied. The flash on the D5600 is very nice. It gets used often because the kit lens relies on it because it is not a low light lens. Pictures turn out great! I am impressed by the image quality of camera and lens combo and how instantly it focuses. I bought David Busch's "Nikon D5600 Guide to DLSR Photography" which brought up to speed really quickly, as none of photos I have taken were done in full "AUTO" mode. All in all I am beyond thrilled with my Nikon D5600 and Adorama's service. They are now my go-to camera shop. Thank you!

I was so unsure between Canon or Nikon. However after extensive research I went with the Nikon D5600 for an entry level professional camera. I am so glad I did, Nikon is truly a professional camera in and out and as you keep using it the better you become. Once I master this camera I’m definitely going to the mirror less z7.

I’m absolutely loving this camera and kit. A classic Nikon with great lenses and gear for a really affordable price. Especially having so much fun with the 70-300mm lens shooting wildlife in Central Park NYC. I also love the slinger bag that’s included with the kit. Large enough to hold the body, several lenses, and accessories, but less conspicuous than the standard Nikon bag. I take it everywhere now. I would highly recommend this product to amateur photographers, enthusiasts, and pros alike!

I purchased this bundle/package 2 years ago as my first true DSLR from a point and shoot with somewhat decent capabilities that I had been using prior. I could not recommend a better first DSLR to learn from and even use through intermediate learning. It is a very capable camera and will more than always keep up with your demands. After 2 years of use and learning (I started as a beginner), it has yet to not produce the shots that I want, even with minimal time you can take some decent shots. For those who are upgrading to the D5600, It will treat you well and you will get you're mileage out of it. For those who are going to learn off of the D5600 from the beginning as I did, I found that using the AFP DX 70-300mm was more forgiving at the beginning. It will give you a understanding of your depth of field, and will allow you to focus in on finer details as its range of focus is much more distinguished as you focus in, as compared to the 18-55 mm lens. Happy Shooting!

This camera takes great pictures, even though I'm a beginner. It is fairly easy to learn to use with a little instruction. I used it to take pictures of artworks to be posted on a web store. The pictures had to be excellent in quality and light exposure to get realistic images. I was very happy with the outcomes. It took very little photo shopping. I haven't received the extra battery and the tripod that was on backorder yet. It has been 2 weeks.

So far I absolutely love this camera and all the additions that Adorama and Nikon put in. The Camera is great and easy to use, the equipment all came as shown. The only downside was the software which is not so great, but it was free and defiantly worth that. I have since switched to Adobe though.

I was anxiously awaiting this entire kit to be shipped, as I ordered while it was backordered. I previously had a Nikon D60 and this is such an incredible upgrade and I am in love with my new D5600! The accessories that came with it all seem to be useful - the only thing I haven't touched yet is the computer program, as I have recently been learning how to use Lightroom.

The camera body was no different than if it had come out of the box new. Absolutely nothing to indicate it was not brand new except for the price and the lesser guarantee. I have used it now for little over a month. Perfect performance.

I've had this camera just over two months now and have three lenses; 18-140, 55-300 and 55mm 1.8D. This is my first digital SLR and my return to photography after nearly 40 years. My last cameras were Nikon FM and FE bodies in the early 1980s, along with fixed 24, 35, 55micro and 135mm lenses. Since then I've had a few digital consumer cameras but most of my pictures were taken with iPhones. I forgot how rewarding quality, flexible gear can be. I'm careful about what I select and the D5600 c...

Fire up your creative spirit with the constantly-connected D5600
The unexpected moment of beauty. The staged time-lapse movie that came off perfectly. Whether it's shadow play when the sun's high, or movies shot from intriguing angles, very little beats the thrill of creating something others appreciate.
Equipped with Nikon's powerful image technology, the D5600 is where the magic happens. This is a camera that gives power to your ideas. The range of legendary NIKKOR lenses at your disposal means you'll never run out of creative options. And Nikon's SnapBridge lets you sync photos to your smart device as you shoot, or easily transfer movies whenever you want.
Move The Imagination: Nikon DSLR Image Quality
When you're the kind of photographer who sees what others miss, image quality is everything. Equipped with a large 24.2 megapixel DX-format image sensor, the D5600 is capable of sharply capturing fine textures and rendering images with superbly crisp detail. Your friends and followers will see exactly what you intended shot after shot. An ISO range of 100-25600, and an expanded ISO sensitivity of 6400 in Night Landscape mode, ensures low-light scenes and difficult lighting situations are handled with ease. The EXPEED 4 image-processing engine boasts superior noise-reduction performance even at high ISOs. And with a wide range of interchangeable NIKKOR lenses at your disposal, images with stunning background blur and richly-toned contrasts are yours for the taking.
Too Good Not To Share: Stay Connected With SnapBridge
Connect and inspire as you share your DSLR-quality images in seconds. Nikon's game-changing SnapBridge utilises Bluetooth low energy technology to open a constant connection between your D5600 and a compatible smart device. Connecting the camera to your smart device is simple. Once it's done, the camera can sync photos to your device as you shoot, without you having to reconnect each time. Every shot you take appears instantly on your phone or tablet, ready for sharing. And you can transfer movies manually whenever you want. SnapBridge connectivity even lets you use your smart device to shoot remotely. However you use SnapBridge, you can continue to use your smart device without interruption, and you don't need to worry about draining your camera's battery. Your perspective is unique: SnapBridge lets you share it right there in the moment.
A Nikon DSLR: When Photographu Really Feels Like Photography
The exceptionally portable D5600's faultless ergonomics make it easy to immerse yourself in the experience of photography. Create eye-catching compositions thanks to the high-quality optical viewfinder, which delivers an incredibly clear view through the lens when you want to focus on your subject, shooting through the viewfinder lets you block out sunlight and distractions. You can also maintain a more stable hold on the camera when using a telephoto lens. The well-placed command dial and multi-selector make it easy to change settings as you shoot. And you can even use the touch Fn function to adjust settings via the large touchscreen without taking your eye away from the viewfinder. With a body that weighs just 415 g (approximately), and a monocoque carbon-reinforced shell, this camera is lightweight and tough enough to take anywhere. From your latest travel odyssey to busy urban streets, once you curve your fingers around this camera's deep grip and start shooting you won't want to put it down.
Catch What You See, The Way You See It: Vari-Angle Touchscreen
Now you can shoot with a DSLR that sees the world like you do even when you see it from a completely different angle. Simply flip, tilt, or rotate the large 8.1 cm (3.2 in) vari-angle touchscreen to compose perfect shots: you'll get a clear view whether the camera is up high, down low, or extended away from your body. You tap the touchscreen to focus and shoot, just like a smartphone. And you can use touch controls during viewfinder shooting or image playback. During viewfinder shooting, the touch Fn function offers an intuitive alternative to using the command dial or multi-selector: now you can select the focus point or adjust other important settings, like Aperture, Auto Sensitivity and more, via the large touchscreen. During image playback, a frame advance bar inherited from Nikon's professional D5 and D500 cameras lets you quickly scroll through images. And you can pinch to zoom in and quickly trim an image.
Miss Nothing: Speed and Precision To Capture Every Idea
When you notice everything, you want a camera that misses nothing. Whether you're in the midst of the action or shooting from a distance, the D5600's razor-sharp AF system will lock onto your subject and keep it in focus. The AF system's 39 focus points cover a wide area of the frame, and nine highly accurate cross-type sensors in the central area deliver enhanced accuracy. When you shoot in Live View, the camera's contrast-detect AF keeps you right on target. And when that perfect opportunist shot appears out of nowhere, this camera can shoot at a swift five frames per second to nail the moment with perfect precision.
Movies You'll Be Proud To Share: D-Movie and Time-Lapse Movie
Record smooth, finely detailed Full HD video clips you'll be proud to share. D-Movie enables recording at frame rates of up to 50p/60p. Continuous Live View autofocus (Full-time-servo AF mode) keeps your subjects sharp even when the action is fast. And if you shoot with an AF-P NIKKOR kit lens, footage will be practically free of drive noise thanks to the lens' built-in stepping motor. Time-Lapse Movie, inherited from Nikon's advanced DSLRs, transforms scenes of slow-moving clouds, or a crowded street, into dramatic high-speed sequences. And movies shot with the D5600 are easy to share via the camera's SnapBridge connection.
The Artistic Touch: In-Camera Creative Tools
Maximize the impact of your photos and movies with a range of in-camera creative tools. Easily make every image express more with a range of special effects: you can preview your chosen effect in Live View, and adjust its intensity before you shoot. For even greater control over the look and feel of your images, shoot using Picture Controls to fine-tune settings like contrast and saturation. The Flat Picture Control makes it easier to perfect your movies in post-production. And you can even create and save a custom Picture Control for a characteristic that's all your own. A range of effects in the retouch menu lets you quickly heighten the atmosphere or change the mood of your photos in-camera. And SnapBridge connectivity means you can take advantage of your smartphone or tablet to continue the creative process using your favorite apps.
NIKKOR Lenses: Legendary Optical Performance
The D5600 is compatible with the full range of DX-format NIKKOR lenses. No matter how your photographer's eye sees the world, there's a NIKKOR lens that shares your vision. Use a fast prime lens for beautiful background blur, a telephoto lens for distant subjects, or a wide-angle lens for dramatic composition. You can also shoot with a large selection of FX-format lenses.
Expand Your Photographic Capabilities: Nikon Accessories (Sold Separately)
The D5600 is part of Nikon's endlessly-expandable DSLR system, which can support every photographic idea you have. When you want to explore the creative potential of light, Nikon's acclaimed Speedlights make it easy. These portable flash units let you diffuse or soften light, add impact to daylight images, enhance twilight shots, or expose subject detail in backlit situations. For maximum portability, use the compact SB-500 Speedlight, which boasts an onboard high-intensity LED that's ideal for close-up still images, or movie recording. When you want to achieve high-quality sound recordings, use the optional ME-1 Stereo Microphone. No matter where you want your photography to go, Nikon has the tools to get you there.
