Shopper : Hello, The Nikon Kit has one pic with the camara have one vertical battery grip and one lens, this is truth, If I buy this Kit I receive, the vertical battery grip and the lens?WILLIE P : No. The lense is not included. go to the site and read 'what included' I hope this will help you,BRUCE B : Kit SKU: INKD7000A MFR: 25468 KA, as pictured, does not come with a battery pack grip. What is pictured is part of the camera body and NOT a battery pack grip. This kit does NOT come with a lens. The kit only includes the camera body. You will have to buy the lens seperately. Kit SKU: INKD7000K1B MFR: 25474 K1B does include a 18-105mm DX VR lens, memory card, extra battery, card reader, and a small bag. It does NOT include a battery pack grip. The bag is small so if you have a lot of equipment then you need to buy a larger bag.AMY H : No you don't get the battery grip and lens with this kit. Just the camera body, memory card, card reader and the camera bag. Still a good deal for all of it.DOUG M : The kit is as stated, Nikon D7000 Body (no lens) which includes a battery that goes in the body, neck strap, US warranty, a 32gb SDHC memory card, a Mack 3yr extended warranty, and a card reader. There is no lens in this kitLINDA H : Hi---Please look more closely at the offer for this kit. The picture with the lens and grip are indicating the 3 year warranty. The kit posting lists pretty clearly what is included. The lens and grip are not on that list. I have been a long time customer of Adorama and find them to be fantastic to deal with. If you want a different configuration of items for your D7000 purchase, just call them and you will get wonderful service. The D7000 is a fantastic camera. I didn't buy lenses when I bought the body because I have lenses from other Nikon cameras. I do not find it necessary to have a grip with the D7000 as the batteries last a long time. I always have a spare charged battery when I'm out. I did get the bag which I love. I got the warrantee, as well. Although I did get the card reader it wasn't for me but for a friend. My computer has a slot for reading the sd card. I hope you go forward and speak to the folks at Adorama and put together a kit that will work best for you. Good Luck.JOHN M : there is no external battery grip or lens with this kit. Just the body, memory card, camera bag, USB card reader and 3 year extended warranty.ROBERT R : No. You will not receive a lens nor a vertical battery grip. The picture shows a kit that includes only the body plus other accessories. The full description is Nikon D7000 Digital SLR Camera Body Kit - U.S.A. Warranty - with 32GB SD Memory Card, Camera Bag, Mack 3 Year Extended Warranty, USB 2.0 SD Card Reader SKU: INKD7000A MFR: 25468 KA There is another kit that includes a lens plus a spare battery pack (Not a vertical battery grip). Its description is Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera Kit with 18-105mm DX VR Lens, U.S.A. Warranty - with 32GB SD Memory Card, Camera Bag, USB 2.0 SD Card Reader, Spare EN-EL15 Lithium-ion Battery SKU: INKD7000K1B MFR: 25474 K1BXU H : No. That picture actually shows the Mack 3 Year Extended Warranty, it is a service rather than any physical parts. By the way, the body shown in the picture is a D3 or similar pro body, which has the grip integrated on it. It is not D7000 at all.
Shopper : pc cord attachment?CHRISTOPHER W : Yes the PC cord attachment is part of the package.JAMES G : There is no PC cord attachment on the Nikon D7000. There are hot shoe adapters available, but out of the box there is no PC connector on the D7000JOHN M : No - this camera doesn't interface directly with a PC. You remove the memory chip, put it in a usb reader and plug that into a usb port. Works fine.ROBERT M : The kit includes a camera-to-PC USB cord. Very happy with delivery time, price, and condition of camera (new, USA camera), and extras.TRAVIS B : Yes, it comes with a PC cord. TB, Mobile, ALMILIND P : Yes it does come with USB cable to connect to PC.DAMON C : Yep usbHAPPY H : "PC" is an ambiguous term. What do you mean ? Is it for a personal computer, what most folks want to do with cameras these days -- yes the D7000 kit comes with a camera to USB connector cable. Do you mean Prontor Compur, a now-ISO standard for synchronizing a mechanical shutter with an external flash ? Nikon makes a hot-shoe adapter for this purpose, part number AS-15, which when attached to the camera's flash hot shoe, will permit the connection of sync PC cord. No, this unit is not included in the D7000 kit. Or did you mean, "politically correct" ? Yes, Nikon goes to great lengths to consider that with everything they sell.BILLY S : Yes, the camera comes with the cord for pc downloading. Personally I find the USB SD reader more usefulMIHAJLO V : Usb yes
Shopper : what is the make and model of the camera bag coming with d7000? What is the capacity?SID P : i do not have the model number, I returned the camera and the bag. It was a pretty small bag. From capacity perspective - I will say it can hold the camera and 2 small lenses along with small accessories like memory card etc. there are better camera bags then this one. SidWILLIAM W : It is made by Case Logic. It will comfortably fit the D7000 with a 4-5" lens attached (like the 16-85 DX), and then a bunch of small items like filters and batteries and memory cards. If lens is detached, you should get the body, and two medium sized lenses, and some small items in the several pockets (inside top lid, two zip front, net elastic sides). This is roughly equivalent to the triangular shaped "DSLR holster" style cases. Reasonable protection and construction quality (especially when this kit cost the same as the body alone, when I bought it.)BRUCE B : The camera bag is a small case logic. The capacity is just big enough for the D7000 with a small lens such as the Nikon 35mm lens. It is not big enough to hold the D7000 with the 70-300mm lens. I would suggest buying a bigger camera bag because this one is not sufficient to hold any accessories. The kit price was a good price even with this small bag. If you have use it can be used for someone that has a smaller camera.STEVE L : the case is a case logic bag. you can put a camera body with lens attached and have room for another lens or flash.LARRY C : The bag I received was a small Case Logic bag that is only big enough to hold the camera with a lens attached I used a Nikon 24-85mm lens and it fits fine. The new Nikon 18-300mm is a little too big to fit. There is really not much room for any other lens but there are lots of zippered compartments for extra filters, cleaning cloths, and small items. However, I would not make a decision to buy based on the bag. This is a great camera. I used a Nikon D90 for several years and can not believe how much better the D7000 is. I suggest that you buy the camera and just be thankful for any other goodies that are included.LARRY B : It is a Case Logic DSLR shoulder bag. It barely holds a D7000 with 18-200 lens.PAUL S : Its a Case Logic bag, just big enough for the camera and a lens (maybe you could squeeze a flash in as well. and a pocket in the front for some cards.GARY D : The kit was very nice. However, the Case Logic case, that I received, is only big enough to carry the D7000 with lens attached and a few other items not including an additional lens. The case is more suitable to a smaller point and shoot camera or the D7000 with a single "do it all" lens. I purchased a larger case, Lowepro 150, to accept my normal compliment of the D7000, attached lens, second lens and the SB400 Speedlight flash. Memory and filters can be carried in the smaller case or the larger case so doesn't come into the equation. I would look for a kit that includes a case of the size of the Lowepro 150/170 for day trips or a larger case for equipment transport. The additional parts, bits and pieces add up quick.GREG M : The tag on the case shows Case Logic as the manufacturer and DSLR as the model. Depending how you pack it ,it can hold a body, lens (unattached) and a separate flash or second lens. There are pockets (open) on the sides and front as well as a zippered one on the back. Looking at it from the front, it is 8in wide x 8in high by 5in deep front to back. It has an attached carrying handle and a detachable strap for shoulder carry.GERALD B : The camera case is "Case Logic" made in China, part number TBC409. Color is black. It appears well made, padded, holds the camera with a medium telephoto lens (or shorter) plus many internal compartments for accessories. Has an outside pocket for manuals, papers, etc. No room for spare lenses though. But overall a very nice small case.CHARLES R : The bag that I got with this order was a Case Logic DSLR Shoulder Bag (TBC-409-BLACK). I thought that it would be a cheap bag, but I was very pleased with what I received to the point that I decided to keep it, even though I have other camera bags. The bag that is in the product image is the correct image for the bag, if you wondering.DIPANKAR G : Pretty small one,you can carry just 1lens.you can talk to customer service to change it by paying some extra amount.KATHY H : I received the Adorama Slinger bag. My Nikon 900 flash and the D7000 with a 18 to 200 lens fits nicely. Although a longer lens would also fit. Accessories fit in the pockets also nicely. I use this for photo shoots where I only need one lens, being able to sling it over your shoulder is a plus.LINDA H : Congratulations on looking to purchase the D7000 from Adorama. I have to tell you, I was pleasantly surprised with the camera bag I recieved. I was expecitng something of much less quality and a camera bag was far from my mind as a deal breaker for my purchase. The bag is sturdy and holds my camera with a lens attached--usually my 65mm, and room for my 70-300. There are sundry pockets to hold spare batteries, SD cards, cameral cleaning supplies and a small wallet. I have several bags for various travel occasions. The bag i got from Adorama, with my D3000, has become my everyday go to camera bag. BTW the D7000 rocks! AMY H : The bag is a Lowepro but I can't remember which model number. It's a small bag that will hold the camera with a small lens only. I actually gave the bag to a friend since I have several other camera bags that I use.JOHN C S : The camera bag is really small but is fine for a holster bag with the lens you are using that day, Good cushioning and protection with storage for extra memory and batteries.J. MICHAEL M : I'm not sure of the make and model. I have a bag that I am very happy with and gave the camera bag to my grand son. As I recall it was just large enough to fit a camera body. Sorry that I couldn't be of more helpJOHN S : The bag is a Case Logic bag with a shoulder strap. It is of average quality but it is small. Designed to carry primarily just your camera and one lens. It would allow some accessories too.JENNIFER S : When I ordered this, the bag I received was the "Case Logic TBC-409 DSLR Shoulder Bag". It fits my camera with a lens and there's pockets for other little accessories. I will upgrade the bag in the near future when I buy another lens as I don't think it will fit in this bag. Just my opinion. It's a good bag but more of just something to take on an easy trip where you'll just need your camera and not much else.

Nikon D7000 body in 2024

Bought "heavily used grade" D7000 Nikon body and was surprised how nice camera is. 44,000 accuations, one small chip next to battery door (non issue), and one small button not working on front for focusing areas. Also a non-issue mostly. Nice cameras with a solid feel and long battery life. Recommend for sure.

Awesome DSLR

Awesome camera. Amazingly tough, built like a tank. Once I put my camera over a black leather coat in the sit of my car and forgot. Later I took the coat and did not see the camera. It flew away in a concrete surface. Nothing happend, even a scratch. The battery last forever. My battery is shown as new in the battery info menu and I have been used it since 2014. I like the images and colors it produces and have taken magnificent portrait of my kids. I only avoid to use high ISOs, in this case noise is noticeable.

Terrific piece of kit

Bought a fairly lightly used D7000 from a local dealer about 6 months ago. Terrific piece of kit - very pleased with it. It took me a little while to get used to it and I still haven't mastered some features, but have been getting some good shots... at least, I think they're good. Noise at higher sensitivity settings (ISO 6400) is not particularly noticeable unless you go out of your way to look for it. I know this camera has been discontinued, but a decent used one is well worth the money.

Best Bang for your buck.

I picked up a lightly used D7000 earlier his year. I've been using Nikons for about 10 years and have owned the D40, D70, D200, and D3000, but this one is the best Nikon I've laid my hands on. It's incredibly fast and its ergonomics are exactly what you would expect from a Nikon. Granted I have not owned professional level Nikons to compare, but as a hobbyist, and at this price point, I doubt anyone could offer a better piece of equipment.

Excellent Camera

I am using this camera for about 4.5 years now, sill looking and working good as new. Most importantly it works for all conditions, recently I have accidentally poured water on the camera and I did not notice for some time, nothing has happened. Still working as expected. Way to go Nikon…..

So far as of Aug. 2015 yr. This is my All time Favorite Nikon DSLR !

I have owned, several DSLR camera's, and just about all of them, have been NIKON's :o) The reason I stick with NIKON, is because, my experience, goes way way back, to 35mm, Nikon camera's, and I have stayed, with Nikon, because, once you get used to the way one camera works, there controls, stay pretty much, standard, for the most part, plus durable, and they just work, I have enjoyed all of the Nikkor Glass, len's too, once you build up a collection of Nikkor len's, its had to switch. The D7000, just works & is super tough !

Excellent camera!

I have used the D7000 for 10 months and it is incredible. The 39 AF points in 3D AF mode is incredible for tracking action. The 16 megapixel sensor is very sharp and captures every detail. The ISO range is good and I am able to use it confidently up to 4000 ISO. The video is average but for the quick little videos it works great! I love the D7000!

Great Features in a semi professional body! built tough!

I have had this camera for over 4 years now and it is still going strong. The body is built way better than the new D7200 or even the D7100. I find the 16.2 megapixel sensor is a bit better in low light for ISO performance but my new d7100 contains way more details in the shadows. This sensor is still excellent though and should not be considered no good just because it's been replaced 2 times. I have had this camera in tons of dust, it's been beat around and thrown around. (not misuse just in the line of duty) Also it has sat on a tripod in a waterfall for about 3 hours with water splashing onto it steadily! Great camera and the only reason I upgraded was for the 24mp sensor in the D7100. Which is outstanding BTW! This body still has a place in my bag and I use it for fast action work.

Absolutely Great!

I've owned Nikon products for most of my adult life. Started with a Nikkormat when I was a teenager. I've worked professionally and semi-professionally as a photographer. Nikon products have always been excellent in quality and value. I started with DSLR's with a D3000 DSLR then went to a D5000 DSLR with a battery grip. I just purchased the D7000, got it and the MB battery grip slapped on a Nikkor 18-70 mm zoom and shot my oldest daughter's track meet yesterday. The camera handled like a dream shooting with Aperture Priority. Photos were crisp, well saturated, and the continuous drive at 6fps worked flawlessly. Over 1,000 photos later, I imported them into Apple's Aperture software as well as Nikon's Capture. I cannot say enough good things about this camera. It responded much more quickly than the D5000, and the features on it make photography a whole lot of fun. I'm still on the learning curve, but will undoubtedly learn to love this camera more as time goes on. We're off to another track meet next week and I can't wait.

A Five Year Old Powerhouse

I've been shooting for almost a decade now, and I love the Nikon D7000. It's quick, has excellent image quality (with the right glass), and good durability. The fact it's still selling strongly after nearly five years is a testament to its quality. Add a much lower price tag, and you've found a deal that cannot be beat. Reviewers may complain the video quality isn't good enough or it doesn't have newest fads built in such as GPS, wireless capabilities, etc. Call me old school, but the point of a camera is to take photos. If you'd like better video quality, there are plenty of camcorders available. And yes, wireless, gps, and such is great, but then again you're paying a premium for it. What photography boils down too is having a solid, reliable camera that can grab the shot you want. This is wha you'll find in the Nikon D7000.

Nikon D7000 - Refubished by Nikon Canada - Excellent!

Purchased a Nikon D7000 from Nikon Canada 3 days ago and I could not be happier! The camera was in perfect body condition and the shutter count was 1300! If anyone is reading these reviews and have second thoughts about a refurbished model don't. Love the camera itself, works perfectly, great dual wheel scroll for aperture and shutter speed! A bit hard for beginners (like myself) but great for growing into!

Full Featured, Compact, High Value, DSLR

The Nikon D7000 is an excellent, well built, compact, and high value DSLR. Its size, when coupled with Nikon DX lenses, makes for manageable transportation yet brilliant photographic results. Below is a photo of a Golden Eagle taken at a shutter speed of 1/400 of a second, an aperture of f/5.6, an ISO of 1000, Auto White Balance, and Center Weighted Metering.

Returned D7000 to buy newer model

I bought the D7000 to replace my D90. I didn't find a substantial enough difference and returned the D7000. Took same shots of same places. Disappointing results. I will upgrade instead to the newer model. I bought a D3200 at the same time as an ever present camera pocket camera and I liked the quality of the images better than the D7000 -- although the D3200 lacks some powerful features I value and need.

An exceptional package for creativity

I've been a long time Nikon user through the "F" series and then digital starting with a D1. Nikon has done a masterful job of advancing the technology including relative ease of use. The addition of the "U1" and "U2" settings feature has been a Godsend in speeding use in the field. The reduction in size of the frame is impressive and very helpful in our being very much on the go. It is hard to see how this cane improved on but knowing Nikon they will find a way. But for the foreseeable future, I'm more than satisfied, I'm very enthused about this camera.

Solid Performance!

Great camera at all levels. It has taken a beatin' and keeps on ticking. I've taken thousands of pics over 2 years and have been very happy with the results. Much better camera than my old D90. Post processing in LR4 and have been happy with output other than noise above ISO 800. I have recently purchased the D7100 with the improvements that will make it the new DX top dog. Nikon fixed one of my issues with the D7000: the mode dial on the top left would get accidentally moved too frequently and I'd starting shooting not realizing that the mode was switched. The D7100 now stops those slips. Still going to keep my D7000 because everything including the battery are interchangeable between D7000 and D7100 and it has proven itself over and over again as being fairly rugged and reliable. Even managed to come off a horse with me with no ill affects.

Big 5+ for me

This is my first nikon, I've been using canon before this and I'm glad I chose this camera! It focuses amazing it's very versatile and the fact that it is weather sealing is great since I'm a really big out doors type of person! It performs great at low light situations just a little bit grainy after 3200 ISO but the image is still amazingly sharp! I recommend this camera for beginners and starting photographers !

Excellent camera.

I've been wanting to go DSLR for some time and just didn't want to make the investment. Took the advise of a friend who has several Nikon's. I've tried the Nikon BDC riflescopes and loved the clarity and good glass. This is truly an amazing camera. A bit much for the beginner but, I decided what the heck, no sense in upgrading later and just went for it. It has all of the features you need to auto point and shoot through the manual operation of zoom, manual aperture, shutter control and much, much, much more. Easy to use, easy to learn. Excellent arrangement of menu controls that are very intuitive.

In a word: Excellent

By Newcomer

I am admittedly a newcomer to the DSLR. I had a D2H for a few months, and have used a D3 several times, but this is the first DSLR of my own. I do NOT feel intimidated by the D7000. It is smaller in the hand than the D2/D3, but has a SOLID feel and nice weight that doesn't tire you out. The menus and options, while plentiful, are intuitive and easy to manipulate. I have captured some great photos using Auto and Scene modes, and also been able to flip to Manual mode and manipulate the shots ...

Sweet camera

By foodphotographer

I decided to upgrade my DSLR recently from a very serviceable D3000 and I had a few criteria I was looking at. It had to be a Nikon, I wanted a large, bright viewfinder, I wanted a focus motor in the camera and I wanted good low-light capabilities as well as easier access to full manual control. My plan was to pick up a D90 body after the D5200 was introduced and the price went down, but that changed after I held a D7000. I was ruined. Watching the prices I realized that the D90 was only a hu...
