Bought "heavily used grade" D7000 Nikon body and was surprised how nice camera is. 44,000 accuations, one small chip next to battery door (non issue), and one small button not working on front for focusing areas. Also a non-issue mostly. Nice cameras with a solid feel and long battery life. Recommend for sure.

love this model of Nikon camera so much I own 3 of them all with MB-D11s the camera sensor I heard is made by Sony & it rivals the Nikon D7100 & D600 see ken rockwells review and sample photos even though its only 16mp it will produce professional results with large prints very easily this camera is simply amazing I have 2 user profiles setup, 1 for B&W the other for HI ISO night time photos its a pro-sumer camera for far less, dual card slots, amazing shutter speed of 1/8000 get one and discover what I am saying for yoruself

I prefer this camera so much I have 2 of them the sensor is a marvel, it rivals the D7100 & D600, see ken Rockwells review in order to make a 4ft x 6ft print this is all you need combined with a very sharp nikkor lens for professional results

I updated my D70 with the D7000. So far i really like the performance of the new body. Works great with my older lenses. I shoot for fun now and this will do the job.

I run a small photography business and use the D7000 for portraits in the studio to nature shots and all points in between. I own a D810 but the D7000 is still my daily go to camera. Could not be happier with it.

I already own the Nikon D7100 and wanted a backup camera. What I needed was to have a close control layout, and the D7000 definitely fit that criteria. Had it for almost 2 weeks and can say it's hard to see any differences and most important to me the control layout are identical. I can switch cameras and not skip a beat. I'm not going to get into a side by side comparison there certainly are enough of those already on the web. Love the D7000, the feel and the build are almost identical. A great purchase I couldn't be happier, and you can't beat the price.

A great camera, value for money, I have it for about 2 months and I have test in several situations (day, night, landscapes). I'm not a professional photographer but this camera completes 100% my needs.

Use camera for Outdoor action, portrait and indoor events. The price compared to performance is perfect. A refurb makes it even more attainable.

I bought this camera as an interim solution till I can buy what I really want. I'm extremely impressed with the build quality, blistering-fast operation, and top-notch images. It has exceeded every one of my expectations. I'm particularly impressed with it's higher ISO performance. I didn't start seeing any objectionable noise till near 6400. The Active D-Lighting almost makes up for the lack of HDR mode. This is the most pro-featured APS-C camera Nikon has ever made (other than it's newer D7100). Perfect for photography students on a budget. Oh, and I can't praise Adorama enough for their superb service, shipping, etc. my used D7000 arrived with nary a hiccup, in perfect condition, expertly over-pack-to-perfection.

I had been wanting to upgrade from my old D80 and now that I have been using the camera for a couple of weeks I am very happy i did. The pictures and screen are far sharper than my old camera and the interface permits quicker, better control while shooting. So far this is a great camera!

Absolutely wonderful camera. 2 card slots allow for raw and jpeg. I am a street photographer so I love the U1 and U2 functions that allow for a change in total camera settings with a flick of the switch. It is also water proof which allows many more worriless days on the street. No issues what-so-ever, the king of the hill for dx format.

This is my second time using Adorama and both times have been great. Everything they ship comes packaged very well. I really like the D7000, but I think I'm going to get the battery grip as the body a little small for me.

This camera was spotless when received from Adorama. The service is fantastic and the shipping is prompt. I traded in the D90 with Adorama for store credit which made the upgrade even easier. The D7000 is an excellent upgrade to the D90. The low light performance and the microfocus adjustment are the most notable features.

Already owning a D700 and a D300, I couldn't justify a D7000. Due to having a co-worker with a D7000 at a newspaper I did part-time work for, I got a close look at how it's image qualty, especially in low light, is far superior to the D300. Then the stars aligned: the D7100 replaced the D7000, Nikon had a lot of refurbished D7000s, and the price kept dropping. When the refurb price at Adorama got down to 53% of the original D7000 price, and lower than higher-rated used models, I pulled the trigger. My refurbed D7000 arrived with a total of 77 shutter activations and impeccably clean. From reading reviews from other refurb buyers, it's somewhat of a lottery as to how near new the camera will be. It seems I lucked out. I got my D7000 in December 2013 and already have a couple thousand shots on it, including a tennis tournament that featured night matches under stadium lighting. Performance has been flawless. I won't go into how great the D7000 is. There are more than enough in-depth reviews online. What I do want to tout is how indistinguishable from new my refurbished D7000 is, and point out that, as of today, 27 Jan 2014, it's still available at Adorama for the same price I paid - an incredible bargain.

I wanted to upgrade from an older Nikon and this was a great value. It is body only (no need of duplicate lenses) and it is a big jump from my D60. I am learning all the features and which ones I need for the pictures I take. There are features that I won't use immediately, but I may be tempted in the future. Overall a great value. www.alexlupu.com

I am an amateur photographer and recently sold my Nikon D5000 so I could move up to a body with more external controls. This seemed like the logical move as I can't see paying so much more for a stereo microphone and megapixels I'd never use in the 7100. The price point is hard to beat. Nothing else in this category comes close. Being it was refurbished by Nikon, it looks brand new. I can't see any wear on it anywhere internally or externally. All of the doors and seals are perfect and it functions 100%. The box is marked refurbished but it comes with all of the same accessories, minus of course the Nikon USA warranty card. Instead it has a piece of paper showing a 90-day Nikon warranty. I'm now looking at Nikon refurbished for everything I buy from now on.

I got this for my wife who has a D40 so she doesn't keep asking to use my D90. I kick myself for not giving her the D90 and keeping this D7000 for myself. Take note, gentlemen. As for tech review - google D7000 Ken Rockwell. 'nuff said.

Eventually, in season, this camera will be used mostly for motorsports photography. In the meantime, it's been great for the family's holiday candids and for winter landscapes. * Auto white balance is dramatically improved vs. my D70. * Low light usability is fabulous. Clear shots w/o pixelation even in dimly lit rooms. No need so far for flash, so have avoided un-natural lighting and needless distractions that flash injects into candid shots. * Nice, solid feel to all the controls, and the review screen is bright and clear. It's very useful to see separate histograms for red, green, and blue light levels too.

I knew in advance that I wanted a Nikon 7000, but just didn't want it enough to pay the latest prices for a "last year model". I use a Nikon D90 and have always been happy with my choice of a Nikon product, but when I saw Rockwell's notice on his web page including his valuation vs the new D7100... in addition to it's refurbished availability from Adorama [a store I have purchased from repeatedly with Excellent results], I decided to order one. Within just a couple of days [over the weekend no less], I was the proud owner of a D7000. I checked its major functions, took some PIX, admired the like-new finish and proceeded to learn as much as I could about my new cam. It's 16M res, U1/U2 instant recall settings, 2 card slots, 2016 segment meter, high ISO, fantastic AF, 39 AF points, loooong BATT life, and many more features too numerous to enumerate make it a natural pick after the D90. Would definitely recommend it to any of my friends.....but don't forget...they are in very limited supply since this model is no longer being made !

The refurbished camera came out of the box looking brand new. I've been using it for a week and couldn't be happier with it's performance. The images are crisp and detailed; the colors are perfectly rendered. The photos are at least twice as detailed as with the Nikon D50 it replaced. I should have purchased it sooner.

I am new to photography. I did a little research before this purchase. I stumbled upon the Ken Rockwell page and he gave rave reviews of this camera and buying a refurbished model. So, I took a gamble and I'm glad I did. I can't tell this camera was even refurbished! How I use this product: I take pics of everything: family, pets, friends. I'm not a pro photographer, and never will be. So, I use it just for fun. What's great about it: It takes amazing pictures! Isn't that what we all want. Yes, it's a little confusing at times, but it comes with a huge manual, so, I use that as my guide to learn the camera. Having said that, I'm terrible with electronics but I was taking pics in 10 minutes? ( I had AA batteries on hand and that helped, the lithium battery does not comes charged up, have those on hand, newbies). Price: c'mon! This is a great camera at a great price! The 'not so great': So far , two weeks later, I can't find any flaw. If I HAD to say something, I guess that the D7000 has a lot of bells and whistles, wait, is that a bad thing? I guess I'm saying it can get confusing when trying to do new things with it: Shutter speeds, Aperature settings, but, I'm new, and well, not the sharpest tool in the shed. Overall: BUY IT. It's a great camera.

I decided to upgrade to the D7000 when my D80 died( dreaded ERR.) I am very happy I choose this refurbished body over a new D5200 I was concidering. The refurbished body I got is indistinguishable from a new one. The D7000 has the advanced features I am used to that the D5200 doesn't. For one, this one focus motor allowing me to use the lenses I already have. It also has the dual scroll wheels I'm used to from the D80. I'm sure the 5200 is a fine camera, but this one fit my situation much better.

I use the camera for shooting portraits and weddings. I use it with a Nikon SB700 Flash on and off camera. The selling points for me on this camera vsthe 5200 were the ability to use all my lenses not all of which have internal motors for autofocus. The autofocus works with the D7000 but not with the D5200, The other features that I particularly like are the dual memory card slots and the ability to use the flash in Commander mode to take ful advantage of the Nikon Creative Light system. This is especially important to me for on location portraotwork to use the flash off camera. I bought the unit refurbished and - knowing it is luck of the draw - was a little disappointed that it had almost 9000 actuations. A bigger issue was the battery that was shipped read that it was at the end of its useful life and needed to be replaced. This is where I was especially pleased with Adorama customer service. After reporting the issue t them Adorama sent me a brand new Nikon battery no questions asked.
