Celeny H : Is this built on wi fi or bluetooth?SCOTT N : The D7200 has built-in Wi-fi connectivity to Android or iOS smart devices (phones or tablets). You'll need to download a free app to your device and connect the camera to the device each time you use it. I'm not aware of any Bluetooth capabilities, but there are other connectivity features: • You can tether the camera to a computer application (like Lightroom or Capture One) via USB cable. • Nikon offers an optional device that receives signals from GPS satellites, allowing the D7200 to capture the GPS coordinates where each picture is taken in the metadata. It's not of much use around a studio, but if you travel a lot, you might find it helpful. If so, you might want to consider a model that has GPS capability built in. The D5300 is one; check the Nikon web site for others.

Love the D7200 and hoping the 7500 is just as great!

I have read some bad reviews for the 7200. I can only speak for myself. I am an amateur mostly landscape photographer (with a professional advertising background). I personally love my 7200. I've had it for a few years now and use it like a workhorse. I even dropped it and had to replace the back screen (myself). It still works great. There are more options than I will ever use with this camera. I strickly shoot in RAW so man y of the functions I will never use. I have shot JEPG a few times and they co0me out great but I like the control and processing capabilities of RAW. I loved the 7200 so much I stayed in the family and just bought the 7500. I am hoping I have the same results. I needed another camera box but didn't want to have to buy new lenses. I also wanted the tilt screen. Another improvement I like on the 7500 is the ability to change ISO with new button on top right. Quick and easy. There are a few more features I like as well. The tilt touch screen and shoot by using touch screen was one of the main reasons I bought the 7500. I'm not sure if I will miss the two card slots that are on the 7200. Time will tell as will the drop in pixels. But I really like the tilt screen addition on the 7500. Getting harder to carry a step ladder and get up off the ground. I also got tired of switching lenses on location. Those are the two main reasons I added the 7500. If the 7500 overall is nearly as good as the 7200 I will be in photography heaven. See some of my 7200 pics attached.

GREAT SLR EVEN AFTER FALLING IN THE MUD

The best SLR camera I have used. I have shot over 10,000 images on my D7200 over 10 years. The D7200 worked after I fell in mud in a forest. The D7200 worked after cleaning mud off the D7200. I did send the D7200 to Nikon New York for cleaning and testing. Have over 500 shots after cleaning and all is OK.

One of the best APS-C cameras ever made - for a reason.

Image quality wise one of the best APS-C cameras ever made for a reason. There is still room to grow - for example missing histogram preview in LiveView, very basic and uncompetitive AF-fine-tune, less usable auto-iso function because the algorithm is only two dimensional (Shutter speed x ISO) instead of three dimensional (+ focal length), poor JPG quality .. But strengths of this camera outweigh cons: class leading aps-c sensor with awesome Dynamic Range and true ISO invariant up to ISO ~1600, proven ergonomics with two dials and configurable fn buttons, IQ on par or even better as basically all mid-range full frame cameras to the date. I have multiple Nikon cameras including D810 but my trusty D7200 is my primary choice for landscape photography when doing longer trip or hike in rough terrain. Basically in general with same (FX) glasses it's impossible find difference in IQ to other 24MP fullframe counterparts even with pixel peeping.

D7200 is a terrific camera

I have used Nikon cameras for many years, both at work and at home. I am mostly an APS-C/DX guy, for reasons of telephoto reach and economy. For many years my home/family camera was a D3100. It is also a great camera, being compact and capable, but lacks just a few of the advanced features which come with the D7200. When I heard that the D7500 was coming out, it actually prompted me to jump on the D7200. I have had great success with the D7200 and the fact that it will broaden the number and types of lenses I can use with full AF capability really helps. I also really like the dual media card slots in this camera and the locking focus point. High-speed synch hasn't become a need for me yet, but it's good to know that it's there if I need it. This will be my go-to camera for many years.

Perfect for me!

I am enjoying the D7200 more than any other Nikon I have owned. I am an amateur wildlife photographer. I have won a few awards in state contests with pictures I have taken with this camera. The weather resistant body is such a necessary feature as I hike about on scenic trails and hide in bird blinds. The images are sharp and as I progress with learning to adjust the settings, I am post processing less than ever. The size is just right for handling a 600 mm lens with ease. I also use a 50 mm lens for real estate photography.I am so pleased with this camera, I purchased a second one!

Small, lightweight camera with outstanding sensor.

I do a lot of travel, landscape and natural surroundings photography. The D7200 is perfect in all of these types of photography because of its lightweight, small body. It takes all of my dozen or so lenses that are comprised of FX & DX. 13"X19" prints look as good as ones shot with my Z7 or D810. What's more, a D7200 kit is comparable to a Z6 kit albeit DX. But that D7200 sensor looks so good to me that this purchase is actually my second body to replace my first D7200 should it ever need repair or replacement. I also have a D500 for walk-around, Birding & wildlife and sports/action. But for landscapes and scenics I love the D7200.

A spectacular 24 megapixel sensor indeed.

The D7200 is durable, sturdy, it feels great in my hands, and I have large hands like an NBA player. The images generated by this 24-megapixel sensor are stunning indeed. I can't wait to purchase more pedigree lenses to gain the full scope of this camera body, D7200.

A camera that will challenge you!

I purchased a D3300 for my girlfriend for her birthday. I purchased a D7100 used for myself after seeing the quality of her pictures. I was impressed with the features of the 7100 and am a rookie so there was a medium learning curve. I then purchased a D7200 after 3 months new because I wanted the few extra features like nef and onboard wifi along with the extra exposure stop. After 6 months of using both cameras I'm taking pictures everyone oh and ah's about. I'm basically a landscape and macro addict except the new grandbaby has made me improve my skills in people photography.. I love the fact that the D7200 is compatible with lenses in the legacy category. The only complaint I have is the camera's sensor is so good that believe it or not that sometimes can cause problems because of rookies lack of understanding of how a quality sensor works compared to a cheaper or less dense pixel sensor. So I guess there are no real complaints. LOL If you just want to take snapshots I recommend a D3000 series or D5000 series. If you want to be truly serious and become a creative photographer or take extremely complicated hdr images this camera can take you as far as you want to go. Also they are a bargain price wise since the introduction of the D7500

New to DSLR

After a month of ownership, I am very glad I bought this camera. Having just spent 3 weeks reading books on the 7200 and photography in general coupled with playing with the camera, I have discovered some fascinating potentials. The number of features this camera has was daunting at first, but as I spent time learning about what, why, and how I learned how these features can improve my photography. This has been one of the more rewarding adventures of my retired life and I look forward to using my new found skills and become a better photographer. Thanks Nikon.

Great Camera/Service

Camera came in timely fashion with all accessories. Box or bags were not sealed, but everything looked brand new, therefore negligible. The D7200 was what I wanted in terms of an upgrade from my D3100 without breaking the bank. The features and capabilities of between it and my old camera are night and day, despite being an "outdated" camera. Plenty of videos and information out there to teach advanced beginners how to maximize on these features. Very happy that it will allow me to continue developing and growing my interest in photography.

Facotry refurbished D7200

I purchased a factory refurbished D7200 for a variety of reasons. I have been a Nikon user since the mid-1970s, so I have several 1970s vintage manual focus lenses (55 & 105 mm micro-Nikkors, a 28mm and a 50 mm), so having a camera that can use full matrix metering with these lenses was essential. I also have a several newer autofocus DX lenses (including two new AF-P lenses) with which the D7200 is compatible. The newer D7500 does not meter with manual focus lenses, and it also has only one SD card. I much prefer two. The D500 of course has a much faster frame rate, but that is not important to me; it has no integral flash, only one SD card slot, and is much more expensive. The choice of the D7200 for me was thus a no-brainer! I would also like to add that I am a huge fan of cameras that have been factory refurbished by Nikon. I have had several over the years including my D810, and they have all been fantastic. The only Nikon DSLR I ever had trouble with was my very first DSLR, a D200 (purchased new). Nikon repaired it under warranty and it worked flawlessly thereafter.

Dependable Older High Tech!

The D7200 has some age on it but still performs flawlwssly. No, it's not a D500 but then again check the price. Bargain for the performance. I just shot a very fast moving Lacrosse game under the lights at high ISO and got fantastic results for the newspaper article I was shooting for. Many more keepers than throw aways! You really can't go wrong with this camera especially when you bolt on a n FX 70-200 f2.8 making it a 105 - 300mm in DX. If you buy this camera don't bother with the kit lenses. Save your money and buy the 16-80mm lens. Together they are quite the pair! Highly recommended! I plan to keep this camera as my second body even when I get the Z6 later this year.

"NICE!"

First impressions: "NICE!" My prior D80 experience made the impressive array of options and choices available on the D7200 less intimidating and much more appealing. Still testing different features and trying to hone to my preferences, but thoroughly enjoying the camera.

Blown away impressed

This is s my second Nikon Camera as my first was a Cool Pix L830 and the D7200 has performed beyond my expectations. Although I watched about 80-hours of video teaching me about the settings I'm comfortable and look forward to many great years ahead before moving on to a A7 mirrorless.

great dynamic range and great sensor

I recently bought this camera, great dynamic range and great sensor. The newer Expeed 4 is a nice update from the D7100. APC sensors get a bit of a bad rap but this camera is able to pull out some very nice quality shots. The controls on the Nikon cameras are spot on and the ergonomics are perfect for me.This camera is a great value for the price!

Adorama should be your camera store and here's why...

They offer excellent service with great prices. I use to only buy from Amazon. I would buy from them because I checked a few prices on everyday items and they had the same as Walmart for the most part, but when it comes to camera equipment you can't do better than Adorama. I checked B&H, Amazon, 42St. Camera and a bunch of other companies. If you do a little research you will come up with the same conclusion. You will also save on tax, shipping, etc... by going with them. Price any camera equipment with Amazon and go through the checkout process without ordering and you will see a big difference if you are buying a camera or any other large item. I absolutely Love My New Nikon D7200. An Amazing Camera.

Everything I hoped for

This camera was a replacement/upgrade from my previous one. It was a highly recommended one and indeed it has, so far, fulfilled all my expectations. Even though there is a newer version, the D7500, this version suited my photography style better and the price point was great.

Wow, I can get focus locks with this D7200 that I have Not been able to before.

I have only only had this new D7200 for less than 2 months and really excited about how Fast I was able to get focus locks on birds and planes so quickly ( I do use the back-button focus method so much it has become 2nd nature) The Hawk photos that I am was going to post (were too big) were shot of a raptor in my yard through a dual pane window and the wind was lashing branches in front of that Hawk (or Falcon?) that I was surprised that they came out so great.

Love the camera and Adorama

Now granted I bought this camera coming from the D3200... the image clarity and sharpness is next level. What impressed me the most however is the higher ISO performance. Yes you can actually use this at higher ISO settings and get great looking shots.
