Product was exactly as ordered. I was very disappointed in the fact that Adorama allowed me to purchase this item, and then pay more than the cost of the product again for 2 day shipping, only then to tell me that they were closed for four days before actual shipping. This product was needed before I went on vacation and it arrived two days later. The notice that Adorama was closed for the Jewish holiday, should have been forthcoming BEFORE the order was finalized!

I own many lenses and have just as many lens covers. They all do the same thing- they cover the lens. There really isn't much to say about this or any other lens cover, but I had to give it a 5-star rating because it snaps into place and covers the lens, leaves the lens uncovered (essential for taking photos) when unsnapped and removed.

Nikon originally missed on this lens cap design. Fortunately Adorama stocks the replacement. Have had to buy several over the years, and the right product arrives in a very timely fashion.

This is a great camera; 'took hundreds of photos of Paris during a very special trip, but the lens cap is a very poor design from a wonderful company. Still, the cap did last five years, so I guess that is pretty good. I am glad Adorama had the foresight to stock the replacement, or the camera may have become obsolete. I don't believe Nikon - to which I am fiercely loyal - makes any such caps any longer, so they corrected an error. Good for them - and us.

Was easy to snap the old one off and the replacement on. Have had the Nikon S4 for years and the lens cap has been a durable component, until last month when I noticed the hinge pin was loose. Nice there are places like Adorama that carry these obscure parts.
