Tha battery grip not only increases the frame rate but also appears to improve the focus speed of my 500 f4. A must have if you do sports or wildlife photography.

I ordered the bundled package (grip, battery, and charger) several weeks ago. First, I received the grip, then about a week later, I got the battery. I'm still waiting for the charger. I can't charge the battery without the charger, and without the battery, the entire package is currently of very limited use to me.
