While away on vacation,I somehow lost the cable for recharging my Nixon camera. When I contacted Nikon 's service center in California they recommended that I check with Adorama, which I did. The sales person that I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and knew exactly what I needed and confirmed that it was in stock. I received the cable in a couple of days and it works perfectly. Although this was a relatively small item, I received the same attention as if it were a major purchase.

Exactly as described. I recieved the right model # that works for my camera. However next time I order I will read the estimated delivery time. I picked free with 7 to 14 days delivery and believe me it took the full 14 days. I thought perhaps it might take less than that since I live 2.5 hours away. Tracking shows it sits in a mailing facility for a few days, then goes across the USA , sits a day or two then heads back across the USA in the right direction.

We were automatically directed to Adormaa via Target stores. We had been looking and looking for our cable for several months, finally deciding to buy a new one. It was at this time that we were directly sent to Adorama......and what a find! The cable was super easy to locate, it was well priced, and was in stock. This is the best little cable ever. The old one that we had been searching for was at least 16 to 18 yrs. old and still working perfectly. The day after placing our order we received an email from Adorama that the cable had been shipped. We received the cable the following morning. Two days! We will certainly look to Adorama in the future to fullfill our camera needs. We will also tell all that we know about the amazing service that we received.

I ended up returning the Coolpix camera to the big box store where I bought it from (just turned out to not be my thing at all), but the extra cord worked was correct for the camera and I had no issue with it.

Good old Nikon.....different cord for every body. Use the OEM Nikon cord as the cheaper knock offs are not always reliable.

The product itself is great! Never had any problems, and the cable lasts a very long time. It is a standart cable for most Nikon DSLRs, so it works on different Nikon cameras. Again, great product. Buy it only if you do not have the SD card reader, otherwise use the SD memory card to copy your images into a computer (much faster with memory card).

I`m not so sure why Nikon has chosen to use a non standard camera connection... While most other brand names are using micro or mini USB camera connections, this cable is proprietary to only a handful of Nikon models. And if your camera if a couple of years old (as in a discontinued model) you are out of luck finding this type of cable. Of course, there is always a work around... you can get a generic battery charger - but you`ll have to remove the battery from the camera in order to charge it. You can also buy a card reader - but again, you`ll have to take out the memory card everytime you want to upload pictures. Very inconvenient... if the cable gets lost / misplaced or broken. The least Nikon could do is have this cable in stock. But they don`t. Yes, you can get them on Amazon or EBay anywhere from $2 to $7... but chances are you get what you pay for: it doesn`t charge or it doesn`t transfer data as the original Nikon cable. As a word of advice: do not buy any digital camera that doesn`t use standard USB connection.

The connector is smaller than a micro USB connector but not by much. The only reason Nikon have done this is to make money pure and simple. I will never buy another camera (Nikon or otherwise) with a non-standard USB lead again and wouldn't have bought this one if I'd known beforehand. Also very annoyed that my camera will only charge from a PC and not any mains or car USB chargers.

I lost the power cord to my Coolpix Camera with the Projection feature I had bought not long ago. I needed to replace it. When I called the service rep., he was not only helpful but lots of fun as we chatted while he placed the order. It arrived quickly and works perfectly as does the camera I had purchased earlier. I only do business with Adorama, they are the best.
