I use these with 2 D5's and 1 Z7 acting as transmitters and a D4s and a Z6 as soccer goal cam receivers. Only setup I've found that allows me to cover the pitch corner-to-corner (WR-10 was intermittent at best) and to link 2 transmitters to 1 receiver. Re-link 100% of the time when I switch ends at half time and switch transmitters. I'm not saying there aren't other solutions - but this has worked 100% of the time for me, and reliability is more critical to me than a couple of bucks (can't re-shoot a match!). I recall a match where another shooter bragged about his less-than-fifty-buck wireless setup - who then missed PKs because his rig lost sync. I got great shots. Took off a star because they are expensive, and it is painstaking to set up. Would give back a half star for the naming capability and auto-sync if I could. Bottom-line - if range, portability, and reliability are important, these will meet your requirements reliably. Really hope they will work with the D6!

Because precision and control are paramount in professional photography, the WR-1 Wireless Remote Controller emerges as an indispensable tool for photographers who demand the utmost in reliability and functionality. This robust device enables you to wirelessly coordinate the shutter release of multiple Nikon D-SLR cameras equipped with either WR-R10 or WR-1 units, ensuring that you capture the perfect moment from various angles and positions.
Crafted for versatility, the WR-1 functions seamlessly as both a transceiver and a transmitter, offering compatibility with the WR-T10 remote controller when set to Group A, aligning with the fixed group setting of the WR-R10/WR-T10 system. With access to 15 distinct radio frequency channels, the WR-1 allows photographers to operate in crowded environments without the fear of signal interference. The intuitive display on the WR-1 provides real-time channel traffic visualization, enabling you to select the clearest channel for uninterrupted communication.
As a master unit, the WR-1 can command up to 20 additional WR-1 units or an impressive 64 WR-R10 units, facilitating large-scale, synchronized shooting scenarios. The device's release delay mode adds another layer of creative control, allowing for staggered shutter releases across a series of cameras, perfect for capturing dynamic sequences with precision timing.
For extended reach, the WR-1's relay function can be employed to double the effective operating distance to approximately 394 feet, ensuring reliable performance even in expansive settings. When connected to select Nikon D-SLR cameras, such as the D4, D800/D800E, D600, D5200, or D7100, the WR-1's Fn button grants full control over the camera's own Fn button features, further enhancing its utility.
The WR-1 supports up to four separate groups (A, B, C, D), allowing for independent and simultaneous control of different camera clusters. This feature is particularly useful in complex shooting environments where multiple photographers or setups are involved.
Ideal for long exposure photography, the WR-1 helps prevent camera shake by enabling remote shutter triggering, which is essential when working with slower shutter speeds (up to 60 minutes). It also excels in interval timer photography, where consistent timing is crucial.
For connectivity, the WR-1 requires an MC-37 or MC-38 connecting cable, depending on your camera model. When paired with a D7100 D-SLR, photographers can remotely adjust camera settings via the WR-1's LCD information display, adding a layer of convenience and control.
Compatible with a wide range of Nikon cameras, from the professional F100 SLR to the versatile D5500, the WR-1 is designed to integrate smoothly with your existing Nikon equipment. Whether you're shooting a fast-paced sports event, a meticulously staged time-lapse, or a complex commercial photography project, the WR-1 Wireless Remote Controller stands as a reliable extension of your creative vision, ensuring that you never miss a shot.
