Problem 1: Kept losing the connection with my Core I7 Lenovo Laptop. It would automatically reconnect but that really interrupted workflow. :( Conditional Problem: The High Price...if it worked well I would not mind the high price of this wireless option, but the WT-5A's inconsistent dis- and re-connecting made it unworkable for me. A Hard-Wired LAN works great and is $25 for a very long and very good ethernet Cable.

I've had this wireless unit for close to 2 months now and I'm finding it almost (but not quite) indispensable. The iPad and iPhone applications are the most often used. The iPad viewfinder and camera controls are amazing. Change focus with one touch anywhere on the screen. Select new apertures, shutter or switch modes. On the iPhone, my camera back offers more space than the iPhone screen does but the phone has become my de-facto remote release. I've used the wireless file transfer feature but frankly it can be faster to simply stick with the card reader for uploads to your computer. It doesn't help that the wireless port on the camera (D4) is a bit awkward to use as it's difficult to get the port cover far enough out of the way to allow for connecting the WT5. I'll give it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the less than smooth camera connection process I talked about and the price. However, I'm a big fan of going wireless wherever possible and this is a great step forward in getting rid of more cables.
