I recomend that if the app drops every 20 seconds dont think is defective as I thoad jus put your cell phone in airplane mode and it will work flawlessly. This little module is designed to add Wi-Fi capability to Nikon cameras that don't have internal Wi-Fi radios. It doesn't work all that well, awkwardly sticks out the side of your camera when connected and is so small you're likely to lose it when not in use. I received one with a camera body and used it exactly once.

This device was on special and I figured, why not. It now hangs unobtrusively of my strap, and have used to do quick image uploads to Facebook or to share images, using both iPad and iPhone. Yeah, the software is pretty basic, and it can lose connection. But being able to quickly upload a few high quality images before an event, or share when nobody has a card reader is very useful. Set the device to airplane mode and it makes it easier to connect via WiFi. Beats WiFi cards which are far from perfect.

Works as advertised, my only issue is the design and fire it sticks out the side. I fear that using it while actively shooting, it will get broken. I only use when traveling and need to transfer images. I use this on the Nikon Df

When deciding between the D7200 and D7100 models, one item was having the wireless adapter intergrated into the camera body or using the adapter. We went the D7100 route and have enjoyed the adapter with no issues. It makes it fun to capture family photos without having to go check the camera thru use of the app. Also being able to push pictures to other peoples phones without moving to a flash card is awesome. Overall great product.

This device is not the most user friendly. I've played around with it for a bit. I like the idea of posting photos online taken on my camera from my phone while I'm out and about instead of having to wait to get home. Fiddling around with the app is a bit confusing, and the adapter doesn't maintain a strong connection to my phone when only 5ft away. When you can get it to work it's a handy device, but I have since just thrown it in a junk drawer since I got this as a free bonus item with my purchase of the Nikon D7100.

Every time I've used it my camera battery drops one bar but it does work as advertised. It is something I won't use much but nice to have available. I got a refurbished one and it is just like new as is all the lenses and Nikon refurbished products I have purchased from Adorama! If have an older Nikon camera and think you might like to download pictures to your smart phone, this is an option.

Bought this for my daughter. She has a D7100 and was very pleased that with the WU-1a she can now transfer her photos to her wireless device. Now that she has used it she wouldn't be without one.

Item worked well; however, had some issues in set up as I wanted to set it up using my iPad only to discover there wasn't an app for iPad but found out you can run the iPhone app on the iPad. Happy Camper!

This wireless adapter is tiny, fits easily into a camera sack, and really helps to take shots! You can use either the default app from Nikon, or you can download qdslrdashboard to get even more bang for the buck.

This came with my refurbished D7100. They both work perfectly. The wireless adapter is fine for getting photos into my i-phone so I can send them to friends or clients on location without a hassle. It is by no means a wireless tether device but it is useful in some situations.

The product was everything I imaginedo simple to use and great. The only thing I would have a complaint about is the actual Nikon app you have to download in order to use it. Other than that 5 stars for this and the store.
