JEFF D : How many photos will this card hold?GARY T : I agree with Michael and Patrick. Fancier cameras that use the XD cards likely have many variables for each photo, such as: 1) The max megapixel rating of your camera sensor, and full frame versus APSC. 2) Photo size selected. i.e. small, medium, large 3) Photo quality selected i.e fine, normal, basic. 4) file format i.e. raw or jpeg, or raw+jpeg If you cannot determine the typical file size for your photos because the XD card (which you are looking to purchase) is the only option for storage on your camera, you might try looking at the camera manual. There is typically a table showing the file size for the various settings listed above. 4K Video is what requires a lot of memory. If you are only shooting stills, this card likely has ample storage for many outings.MICHAEL W : If you have a camera that uses XQD, its about how fast it writes and not being able to outrun the buffer. The number of photos depends on the camera, if youre shooting RAW or whatever flavor of JPg, etc. i get 800 or so RAW images on one of my z7. And 1.8k or so on a z6. I have no idea how many JPGs it’ll hold. I dump images on my computer right after a shoot or wedding.PATRICK T : Perfect answer. Depending on the format of your pictures. RAW files are much bigger. What is the megapixel size of your camera. All these things determine the amount of pics it will hold. Hope this helps.MICHAEL K : It depends on the size of the photos. A quick way to estimate this is to look at some of your photos and average the size and then divide that into 64 billion. It is a lot of photos, usually in the thousands. Video throws this off a lot because of the big difference in file size

these cards are so much faster write speed than SD or the old Compact Flash. RAW images from my 45 megapixel camera are 63 megabytes and it takes over 70 images at high speed before it even starts slowing down my buffer
