I purchased used an Olympus 14-42mm EZ kit lens. I primarily use prime lenses but I needed a cheap back up standard zoom lens. This one fits the bill. While not the fastest at f/3.5-5.6 it is a great lens for $89 when used with a speed light. I'm satisfied with this lens on it's size. You can't get any smaller than this. Great value for the money.

This is such a small and powerful little lens, providing an equivalent focal range of 28-84mm. When powered off it tucks away and makes for an easily pocketable combination. The electronic zoom is so smooth and quiet, perfect for video. Pictures taken come out clear and sharp.

It?s a good sharp lens extending no more than 2 inches when camera is turned on. That short of projection keeps the camera from becoming un- balanced and is easier to focus on your subject. The lens is fairly lightweight.

Excellent little zoom lens, takes up very little room. The average amateur cannot tell the difference in pics taken with this low-cost lens and ones that are five times more expensive. True, it is not a f 1.0 lens but with today?s cameras, who cares? Not a factor.

I bought this lens and loved it. Used it only a dozen times and now it does not zoom or focus. Camera says lens error. This is the 3rd lend from Olympus that has given me trouble in 2 years. I have been using Nikon form the 60's and have never had any lens errors. Very disappointed at the quality of the construction. The lenses are sharp when they work. I am scared to go out with only one lens if this is going to happen. Very disappointing.

This lens is really handy for street and routine photos while keeping the camera weight low

It’s fitting my DJI osmo pro X-5 camara tight, is there a smaller adapter I can put on before I put the actual lens on?

I have two of these, just added a third as a kit lens with a E-PL9, and will soon get a fourth when the E-M10 iv ships later this month. I've never been disappointed with it -- carrying it all through continental Europe and the UK in my travels. Results always wonderful with the Olympus bodies, starting with an E-M10 ii and up. Only problem I ever had was a motor in one of these lenses died on me while I was in the UK. I had a back-up (they're just so inexpensive). Sent the lens back to Olympus for repair when I returned to the US, and they replaced it. Can not ask for more than that. Two snaps attached, JPGs out of the camera taken just yesterday with my Pen E-PL9 and the 14-42mm EZ (so nothing fancy here).

This low profile pancake is the ticket for low profile in the pocket traveling where you can't use large lenses. When used on my EM-5 Mark III, I can easily fit in a coat pocket for safe keeping. Photos are of decent quality and the zoom capabilities add flexibility.

Pardon me, but I'm not interested in the lovely technical specifications for this little lens. I care most about how easy to use it is and what it lets me do. It is small, compact, easy to install, and automatic. I have taken some nice pictures with it. That's more than enough to earn my top rating!

I bought this lens with my M10 mark II, so I could keep the camera in the car, it just adds to the cameras portability, flexibility and is fantastic for street photography

I purchased this lens for: 1. its small size when closed; important to me when carrying it around on an OM-D EM-1 since I use an OM-D EM-1 Mark II for most of my photography. Relatively unobtrusive - as much as possible on an EM-1. 2. its reasonable zoom properties for most spontaneous photo shooting 3. Olympus quality 4. Sale price made it more attractive Took a little adjustment to the electronic zoom, but my wife and I now are fine with it.

This lens works well with my underwater setup to allow both wide angle and macro with wet lense attachments by Nauticam. Love the versatility and the quality of the images I have taken so far!

This has become my default lens for my Pen F and E-M1 bodies. It is small, light weight, easy to use, and produces consistently wonderful images; color, contrast, and sharpness all to high standards. I also purchased an auto lens cap which opens when the camera is turned on. So no need for a UV filter.

I like to take photos for leisure so I don't get too technical on lens quality etc. I like how compact this lens is and I'm happy with the results it gives me. The one major disadvantage to this lens compared to the M.Zuiko ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 II is the adaptability of this lens to additional accessory. For example, the WCON-P01 and likely all other lens converters/filters will not fit this lens. It's too bad they couldn't design the threading to this lens to match the mechanical-zoom version of this lens. It limits the fun and creativity you can explore with it.

Compared with other lenses. this lens is very small in power-off position. It provides a great IQ for the size and the mechanism is working flawlessly.

This is a gem of a lens. I live in Alaska and love to go tromping through the snow with my camera--I bought this lens hoping I could just sling my camera with lens attached underneath my parka, and then unzip my coat and pull the camera out as needed. It worked great that way. I was leery of how the lens would operate in cold weather, but had no problems. Zoom and focus were fine down to zero degrees F. Haven't tested it below that yet. Once the zoom speed is adjusted in software the lens is downright zippy, and for my needs I have no complaints about the image resolution. No complaints.

I have a Nikon d3400 with multiple fast prime and zoom lenses but wanted a compact travel solution for hiking or visiting countries where taking out the Nikon would mark you immediately as a target. I have tried several point and shoots but was disappointed in the image quality. I own an old Olympus E-PM1 and this lens is so compact that I can carry this set up in my pocket. My first shoot was during snow shoeing and the lens performed well. There is some chromatic aberration at wide open aperture when shooting people against snow on the ground, but it is acceptable. The zoom is smooth and focus was accurate and fast. The images were sharp. This is a huge step up in image quality from a regular point and shoot and is a great travel lens.

I bought this lens for the compact package it offered with my E-PM1, E-PM2 and E-PL7. I've also used it with my E-M10 Mk 2. I didn't expect a great deal in terms of optical performance, but I will say it handily beats my expectations. While this is by no means a "fast" lens, it is sharp, and the image stabilization and improved high ISO performance of Olympus' latest bodies make it a satisfactory solution in many environments. So it's outstanding virtue is good performance in a very small package that is unobtrusive while remaining flexible in social situations.

It's a good cheap lens. Imaging quality and build quality are easily worth the modest price. If you want a fancy, fast, high ration zoom for megabucks, look elsewhere. If you just wanna be sure you have reliable, easy-to-carry ability to make excellent photos, this is all you need.

I love my Olympus camera because it it so small I can carry it on trips, and get very good images. I considered getting a point and shoot camera for even smaller footprint, but after getting this lens it is as small as a point and shoot. The focal length is good for 90% of shots I take and it fits in my pocket. It seems to work as well as the larger lens. Perfect product.

I've had this lens for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say that I'm pretty happy with it. It's not prime or pro glass quality, but it does a pretty good job. It's conveniently small and the electronic zoom is cool. This lens will certainly live on one of my omd em10ii's. For the discount I bought it at, it was a no brainier! Get yourself one and have fun!
