Shopper : I have a Olympus xd picture card M2gb from my Olympus stylus 1030 sw camera. I need a card reader ,so I can upload the pictures on my computer, will this device work?ARPAD B : If you have an xd picture card that is 2 gb or less, yes this will work. Mine works fine.WILLIAM A : Yes, this is a far better way to transfer images to your computer than the old cables that originally came with the camera. Best $10.00 you'll spend!NICHOLAS A : This looks as if it should work; I think that is exactly what it is intended to do. I don't know Olympus cameras: check your camera to see if you can also use a direct USB connection between the camera and the computer. I bough this reader to transfer information from my computer to a Kurzweil keyboard, which at that time used the Olympus xD card format. They've since switched to SD cards, and also use direct USB connection.SUSAN S : Yes,I also have an Olympus camera with an xd card. I think all the xd cards are the same. This is what I ordered and have used to upload my pictures from my camera to my computer. It has worked great. Hope that helps!
Shopper : IS this used where you do not have a slot in your computer to insert and read the card?ARPAD B : Yes, this item is used where there is no slot provided in the computer to insert and read an xD-picture card. From the picture of the item, a horizontal slot on the side of the card reader can be seen. Insert the xD-picture card here, then insert the card reader into the USB port of theyour computer. Mine works great without any problems.JANELLE H : Yes.NAOMI K : Yes, and it works marvelously!NICHOLAS A : Yes, exactly. I have to use this type of card for my Kurzweil keyboard (I think these cards are out of production, and Kurzweil is now using SD cards instead). My cmputer does not have an xD interface. This way, I can transfer updates from the computer onto the card via the reader, then directly from the card into the keyboard.JOAN L H : yes it is, you take your xD card and slide it into the side of the reader then plug the reader inside ur usb slot onto ur computer, it works great this is what i have and it is very helpful, hope this answers your question and helped you outSCOTT S : Yes, and In my past usages, it has worked great.LEW B : Yes. It plugs into a usb port and it works wellSTEVE S : Yes. Keep in mind that this is only for xd cards, not sd cards.COLIN W : Yes.
Shopper : I purchased an all in 1 mini card reader for my xD card and have not had much success using it on an XP computer or a Vista. Is this reader compatible with all?NAOMI K : Of course, I've only had one type of computer. It runs on XP very well. You should try it!SCOTT W : Yes, I have no problems with my XP computer.ELAINE S : I just rechecked using my olympus reader and it worked fine on my pc using vista. I've had my problems working with pictures with vista and have since upgraded, but can only tell you I didn't have a problem using my card reader. Hope you get it to work because having an xd card can be frustrating to use.SHARNA H : We bought 6 of these and they've all worked on both XP and Vista computers. We haven't tried using these on a Mac, but they seem universal.

Very handy

SD Cards are going away on more modern cameras and USB is stepping in for storage, and this is the product to have in that kind of position.

what I needed

My son uses an old Fuji camera when he goes to camp, I bought this to transfer the xd card to the computer, as the driver for the old camera was obsolete. This ia just what we needed and at a good price

Excellent product!

So much easier than digging out the cables, hooking up the camera, plugging in to the computer, turning camera on then waiting for it to boot up. Even easier than fumbling with the card slots on my computer down on the floor. Just slide the card into the reader, then plug reader into USB hub on desk and it opens right up! Wish I had found this years ago!

Not Worth It

I own the "MAUSB-100", and thought this would be an upgrade. Boy was I wrong. Aside from the improved looks, It's about 1/3 the transfer speed of the "MAUSB-100". It didn't cost enough to bother sending back ,so I just through it in a drawer and forgot about it.
