This camera looks good and feels great in the hand. I believe it will be a great field companion to take on any photo adventure. I have used it a little, but have much more to learn with all the features this camera has to offer. So far it?s working as it should. Looking forward to using it more.

Really isn?t a great camera for wildlife. Yes it?s smaller and a longer reach with the 4/3 sensor but quality isn?t there. I sent it back and went with Sony A7 R4

If you can carry only one lens and you are mostly shooting in good light, this is the lens to carry. I used it to shoot our trip to Havana, Cuba and I never felt the need for another lens. Simplified equipment so that I could enjoy the tour and capture some great shots. Balances well on E-M1 series camera or an E-M5 with battery grip.

My Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III is a big change from a full frame camera, but I was able to get some very nice photos at the San Diego Zoo just a few days after I received it. I really needed to lighten up my load, and to get to a 750mm equivalent, the kit is only 54% of the weight of my other kit. And this one with the 100-400mm gets me to 800mm as a bonus.

The OM-D EM-1 Mark III is an exceptional camera. I have owned other Olympus systems and this model is quite outstanding. The built-in ND filter selection works flawlessly and has saved me a lot of money from purchasing multiple sized filters. The handheld HI RES function is another feature that, again, performs flawlessly. This is the BEST MFT camera that one can buy. Keep up the good work Olympus.

This is my second Mark III. Wanted a replica back-up with all the same controls. i enjoy many of the computational features such as in-camera ND filtering, Live Composite and especially the 80 MP capture where I can use a studio flash by adding 2 seconds of time between the 8 captures to give the flash time to recycle.

Light weight, small, amazing capabilities. The lenses are 1/3 the size and weight of my previous camera equivalents. Shutter speeds up to 18 fps with continuous auto focus in RAW- love it! I'm still learning about what ALL this camera can do, but I love the Pro Capture feature for bird photography.I've gotten some great shots in just a couple of times using it. I want to try try the in-camera neutral density filter feature next.

The Olympus E-M1 Mkiii brings back the fun in Photography! From landscapes to portraits, I am able to capture all my creative ideas. Being lightweight and compact is a huge bonus for me as well because it allows more freedom with where you can go without slowing down your travel load.

Fantastic compact system. Coming from Nikon used some Canons. So many custom features, great battery. I can use for hours without fatigue. I was worried about the 20 mp sensor, but I can use the 50 mp High Res shot so all good. Fast and easy to navigate menus (once you get used to it). The stunning image quality this system produces convinced me that the pro tag it carries is well merited, I absolutely love it and I'm seldom without it. Lastly, that free software; "Olympus Workspace," get it, it's free and a very capable piece of editing software.

I have been shooting Nikon for years (D850). I decided to downsize weight of my gear due to shoulder surgery. I bought this camera and the 12-40mm Pro lens, then added the 300mm Pro, 40-150mm Pro, and added another camera body. This camera continues to amaze me with its performance and image quality. I am so impressed I am considering selling all my Nikon Gear.

I owned a Canon DSLR camera for 8 years and could never grasp the features that it offered. This Olympus camera is incredibly user friendly! Basic settings are so easy to adjust and picture quality is amazing. Still playing around with other features, but all in all I'd say that this is an exceptional camera.

This is the finest camera I have ever owned! The quality is superb and it’s the perfect size to take around everyday if I choose to. Is isn’t bulky and also it’s made to last with super quality photos no matter what one chooses to shoot. I highly recommend purchasing this camera!!

Highly under rated camera. I wish I had experienced with this Omd Mark iii camera before purchasing the Sony A7s3. Now passing the returning window and have to sell it through eBay! If you don't need the 4k 120, this camera beats the A7s3 out of the water. Even if the with the new s_cinetone Sony has just introduced, the color of the Olympus looks great if not better, not to mention it's world class image stabilization when paired with the 12-100 Is kit pro lens. I'm now olympus fan all the way!!

What is odd is that Olympus is possibly going out of business with JIP purchasing them. Everyone says full frame is the future. But when it came down to it. I couldn't find a camera that matches these specs, IQ, size and price. When people say Olympus has some of the best glass they are right. I love taking this camera backcountry skiing with the weather sealing but is small enough to shoot my nephew's birthday. And image quality to shoot a wedding. This was my first camera in the m43 arena. I'm really impressed and hoping JIP can do good things with what really is a very quality product.

Absolutely amazing camera! Unbelievably fast shutter and the stabilization is incredible. Paired with the 300/4 Pro can handhold over 800mm and achieve tack sharp photos. If you want to have mobility and the speed of the $15-20 thousand rigs, this is the one.

It’s an almost perfect micro 4/3 camera. A wonderful still and very capable video camera, with an incredible amount of customization available. Ergonomically well laid out, and feels great in the hand. My only serious complaint is the viewfinder. It’s actually pretty dreadful. I can’t use it for much besides composing a shot, I need to rely on peaking for focus. But the af with most lenses is great, and the LCD is good enough to judge color in most cases, so I’m learning to trust the camera. With so many great lenses available now, this is a very powerful m43 camera.

For my COVID19 instigated back yard bird photography I have obtained photos undreamed of with my previous cameras ; Combining the pronounced reach of my 75-300 mm zoom with action freezing FPS's I have photographed everything from hawks to hummingbirds and butterflies with , to me at least, amazingly pleasing results ; A solid, very well built, very ergonomic and also complex camera , with many functions I still have not grasped but will enjoy trying to master ; Was very pleased already with my OMD-10 MkIII but this M1 MkIII is a magnitude beyond it ; A professional camera.

No regrets on my upgrade from OMD EM 1 Mark II. Love it. Familiar menus and great feature additions like in body ND filter which makes mid day water shots possible.

The 12-100 (24-200 in 35mm equivalent) zoom lens is razor sharp and versatile enough to cover a wide range of situations. The camera's starry sky autofocus, electronic neutral density filter, and in-camera focus stacking features add even more to the outfit's capabilities. I am exploring astrophotography and long-exposure opportunities that I've never attempted before. It helps too that M4/3 format gear is so much lighter and more compact than comparable larger format systems, without compromising image quality (at least for the kind of shooting I do).

As a longtime shooter of another make, I recently broke into the M43 scene to have a lighter kit for my personal travels/use. This camera is simply amazing in every aspect. Great ergonomics, packed with features, easy to use and, most of all, delivers incredible images. It's a win all the way around in my opinion.

I brought this for a light travel camera as i have a Canon 6D Mark 2and 7D Mark 2 and they are pretty heavy. I also purchased with the 12 to 100 F4 to keep on the camera. I have been using this camera for about a month and am having loads of fun. I love the in camera stabilization and i can hand hold the camera at 1 second with in crisp photos. I also brought this camera to use the Hand held Hi-Res function and i am impressed with the files of fall foliage. The focus is speedy and as i sometimes do portraits i am enjoying the face and eye focus. I was also able to customize the buttons on the camera for the way i shoot with out going into the menu for most of the functions that i use. The reason that this review is a 4 instead of a 5 is because i do not like the viewfinder and i knew that this was outdated when i brought this camera and the trade off is worth it for me. I have been shooting with this 90 percent of the time and am loving it.

I love everything about this EM1 MkIII. It's speed, it's accuracy, ease of use, image quality and many features I have yet to explore. But there are two things I question. The lack of a AUTO mode and SCN mode. I know you emphasize its use by professionals and serious enthusiasts, but there are times when a shot presents itself with little time to fiddle with adjustments. That's when a split second is the difference between capture, and missing the shot. I have these choices in my EM5 MkIII and all others. I'm just sorry they are missing in this model. Of course I have to admit that when I am out and anticipating these conditions I carry my EM5 III or Pen-F. The closest to either of these mode settings is the "P" mode. The lack of these AUTO and SCN modes has made me more facile with the "A" and "S" modes, but I still miss them.

Well worth the upgrade from the mark 2. Much faster focusing and over all better performance.

My initial thoughts on this camera. Super fast and responsive with incredible focus and clarity. I am finding that I am able to take pictures in many low light conditions without a tripod. I go back and forth between my 50mm 1:2 lens and adapter and my 17mm 1:1.8.There is so much to learn and I feel like I have only scratched the surface. Thank you Olympus for another incredible product.

I am still in a trial period but I can already say this. Exceptional image quality and improvement in high ISO. Very fast autofocus. IBIS is amazing. Lightweight and compact. Better control button layout that allows making edits while taking pictures. The high-resolution hand-held function is amazing. Coupled with M Zuiko pro lenses, the results are impressive. This is the best Olympus camera I have had since 2005.

A Game Changer
By Jack P.
The Olympus OM-D E-M1iii is easy to use for landscape and macro photography without a tripod. All controls for aperture, exposure adjustment, focus point location are at my fingertips and easy to use while my eye is on the viewfinder in which I can see exposure parameters, highlight warnings, and the exposure histogram. I don’t need a tripod because in-camera stabilization allows a shutter speed as low as a second or more while at base ISO. With the 12-40mm f/2.8 lens (24-80mm efov) it weighs...

Made switch from Nikon to Olympus and DSLR to Mirrorless
By MICHAEL L.
Made the switch from Nikon to Olympus, cut the weight in half and have the same clear photos. Was able to move from DSLR to mirrorless for less than half what it would have cost to go to Sony, with tried and true professional lenses already available. Some day Nikon and Cannon will catch up, but for now I have been able to make the switch to an already proven system. Mirrorless is great, because what you see in the viewfinder is what the picture will be. All camera adjustments are expressed i...
