The right lens cap

This is a really super lens cap for this lens. It opens and closes when the camera is turned on and off. The regular lens cap is very, very small and would be a headache to deal with "in the field." The perfect choice for this lens. WELL worth the cost.

Perfect for my uses

I am stepping up from a "dumby" camera and am used to having a self contained camera package with no accessories. Keeping up with all the accessories of a real camera was something I worried about and this make the lens cap issue a non-issue. I don't have to keep up with that little booger or fumble around with the camera until I realize I've forgotten to take the lens cap off. I just hit the power button and start snapping photos. I turn it off and it closes right up. Now if I could find something like this for my 45mm prime lens.

Auto lens cap, what's not to love!
