Olympus MCG-2 Large Accessory Grip for E-P3 Camera, Black

I had heard that the larger MCG-2 grip would fit on the E-PL series cameras, so I had to try it. I love my E-PL5, but the skinny body and original grip were too slender especially when using a telephoto or lens from another camera system. This grip was a huge help, and with the VF-4 electronic viewfinder on the camera, I can hand-hold some seriously long and heavy lenses well. It is odd that Olympus won't tell you that this grip will fit. Recommended!

After much research on this small camera, I knew this was a must have. I was pleased to installed it without issue and must say it should really be included with the camera. it provides just enough grip with out creating bulk.

Didn't think this would make much of a difference when it came in the mail but when I actually installed it, it makes a world of difference! Excellent grip texture and extends out enough to get great stability without compromising the sleekness and compact design of the ep3

Putting this larger grip on my E-PL5 was like a breath of fresh air! It made me love the camera much more. You can actually grip it instead of being afraid you're going to drop it. Don't even think about it, just order it!

Definitely improves the handling of my E-PL5 without adding much bulk or weight. Only drawback is fingertips are a tight squeeze when used with fatter lenses like the Lumix 20mm. With a more slender lens like the Oly 9-18 there is plenty of room. I presume it would work well with the kit 14-42 zoom also but do not have one to test.

Absolutely incredible grip! The only bad thing is that Olympus makes this an accessory instead of including it with the camera in the first place! You must buy this- definitely worth it!

This grip was actually purchased for the EPL-5 to replace the smaller grip which is supplied for that body. It gives, I think, a better 'grip'.

This grip transforms the E-PL5 into a whole other camera. Gives confident one handed holding even with heavier legacy glass. A must have for E-PL5 owners.

I use the MCG-2 grip on my Olympus Pen E-PL5. It gives the camera more secure feeling when holding it with one hand. I don't have to pinch the camera between my finger and thumb, but rather can let it just hang from my fingers only.
