These lenses (45 f1.8 and 75 f1.8) are good lenses. The image quality they produce is very good. I purchased these along with the 12mm f2.0, 17mm f1.8, and 25mm f1.8, to be my "light weight" setup for street shooting. Although these lenses are good, these two lack the focus clutch that the 12mm and 17mm possess which isn't a huge deal but it would have been nice to have this feature on these lenses. Also, the focus speed on these lenses are not even close to their equivalent Pro counterparts. I have found that the 75mm does a lot of hunting and sometimes just gives up if the subject isn't brightly lit or doesn't have lines to focus on. Aside from that, these lenses are much smaller and lighter than the Pro versions making them much easier to carry.

I got this combo during Christmas and I must say the 75mm is a little gem. The picture is so sharp that you can see the hair strand on the subject's face captured 75ft away. The bokeh is so silky smooth. I don't use the 45mm much but since it comes with a great package deal, I couldn't resist, especially both lens come with the hood. If buys separately, these hoods are included. Thanks for others who had given a great review and that was the reason I bought it. I hope my review will help others too.

I love shooting candid portraits: these lenses on a 4/3 body is just the ticket. They're well built but some of the detail--(hoods, caps & decorative trim (really? decorative trim?)--is a bit fiddly. All in all though, this was a great addition to my kit.

This kit is great because you get perhaps Olympus's sharpest lens in the 75mm f/1.8 and the terrifically sharp 45mm f/1.8, along with critical accessories. If you price out these items separately the cost will exceed what this kit offers. It's a great way to get started in portraiture and achieve significant cost savings.

I almost bought the 75mm 1.8 by itself, and then I noticed this and it is a no-brainer! Even if you only wanted the 75mm, you not only get the 45mm lens - you get lens hoods for both (not included with these lenses ordinarily) and a special pinch style lens cap for the 75mm that works great with the lens hood on. The 75mm is unbelievably sharp and fast - great for portraits or anytime you want or need a 150mm 35mm equivalent focal length. The build quality is phenomenal on the 75mm, and really good on the 45mm as well - but the 75mm is particularly so.

I was looking for a fast prime lens but had difficulty choosing the right one. I have 14-150mm as my kit lens, and usually take pictures on longer end, so I looked at 45mm and longer, but hesitated to choose just one. This kit solved my problem by offering two great lenses at exceptional combined price and barrel lens cases as a bonus.

If you want either of these lenses, get them both and you won't regret it. While I don't think the cases are the best suited for these lenses, it's still a great price. The lenses produce beautiful images. The 45mm is lightweight and unobtrusive. The 75mm is small for the type of lens and quality of glass. Overall I love both lenses!

I bought these to replace the kit zoom lens that I've had for too long! And, despite the hassle of having to changing lenses rather than twist the zoom ring, it is worth having these fixed focus beauties! As all others state, the image quality is top notch. It is also quick to focus. I will give one legitimate ding to the 45mm lens in that the one I have does not connect onto the body very smoothly. It takes a little more force than the other lenses. I will give a semi-legitimate ding for this package going on sale about two weeks after I bought them! Still happy I did it,though.
