This camera is incredible, we use it for industrial use where there is tons of dust, poor lighting and plenty of steel surfaces to destroy the camera. This is the 4th one I have bought and all others are running just as they did the day we bought them. If your looking for a tough strong camera that can take a beating, This is it!!!!! The quality of the pictures is superb.

Got this to take out on fishing trips with my son so I wouldn't have to take my Nikon D80. Its being waterproof made it a logical choice, and I love the optional floatation strap in case I drop it in the water. I could not be more pleased with the construction, performance, and ease of use this camera. The pictures are wonderfully sharp.

We purchased this camera for a trip to Hawaii. We didn't want to spend alot of money but we wanted a waterproof camera to take with us to the ocean and snorkeling. It has the typical long lag time. This results in about half the underwater shots not working. The fish tend to swim away while the camera is focusing. I did get some great shots of sea turtles (slower critters). It does take nice pictures in bright light. Inside, the flash is weak and the sensor is small but the camera fits in your pocket and you can take it anywhere. My wife adores the camera.Overall, what do you expect for [$]. It is waterproof and shock resistant. A waterproof case for my dslr was over a grand. We are leaving it with my sister (who lives in Hawaii) as a gift and we will probably buy another one.

bought one of these for my daughter as a graduation gift a few years back..it's still going strong. it's been in the ocean all over the world. still takes great pics. my wife liked it so much i got her this updated version. she'll never go back to the digital elph. these cameras are indestructible and idiot-proof!

i have found alot of features to take pictures in just about any situation. Like i always say you need a back up and always be there to take the shot. Practice, Pratice, Practice. that's what make a great photographer who has a deep passion for the hobby he/she loves.

This is a great second camera I carry it everywhere. I bought it as a second camera. Not afraid to get it wet so great for fishing trips.
