I bought this for my wife,a kindergarten teacher, in the hopes that it would withstand drops and junk. Do not believe it has been to school yet. Her Nikon L12 took a beating, kept working, but she was tired of the inconsistent, insatiable appetite for batteries. I don't have a lot to offer, performance review wise. Played with it a little after the 1st battery charge. If you've had a digi-cam, you can figure out how it operates in a brief amount of time. It does have lots of in-camera features. Display looks good. It feels nice in your hand. It's small, but doesn't feel like a toy. That "tap the camera" feature has got to be nice when wearing gloves. There is a nice "beautify" mode which smoothes skin tones and blemishes a bit. As always, the point & shoot shutter-lag is there. Wish I had more time with it, but my D80 and trusty L1 are my workhorses. Hmmm, maybe I should take her Olympus out on the motorcycle with me some time. NOT for a "drop test" of course :p

It's exactly what I thought it would be and the picture quality was even better than I expected. The features are easy to use.
