I love this lens! The focal range is perfect for me and it pairs amazingly with my BlackMagic Pocket 4k. I would say that it does have some distortion when zoomed completely out as well as some vignette but otherwise it looks great.

O.I.S & f/2.8 two good things to have on a lens. Versatile indoor and outdoor. Add a UV/ND/CPL filter and you're set. The lens has a nice weight to it - not heavy and not light, just right.

I couldn't be happier with this lens. For years I've wanted the Canon 24-70 f/2.8 but it was too expensive. When I decided to finally triplane my Canon body with a video-centric body, none of the Canons matched the performance of the Panasonic Lumix GH5, which with the Lumix 12-35 f/2.8 lens {24-70mm equivalent) cost less than just the Canon lens, all the research i could do could not convince me to go another route. This lens is tack sharp wide open. The bokeh is likely not as good as the Canon lens on a full-frame body, but it looks pretty good. I'm more than happy.

I debated between getting the Olympus or this Panasonic 12-35 2.8 II. I went with the Panasonic and I am loving it. It has not come off my GX85 since arriving in the mail! This lens is sharp and colors are crisp and vibrant. If you are into M4/3 this should be on your must have list. NO buyers regret here. I love it.

I have been using the GH2 for many years with Olympus 12mm f/2 for travel, and recently bought the G85 and needed a OIS lens to go with it. This lens is the perfect match to enable Dual I.S.2 on the system and gives great hand-held videos. When purchasing the lens, I couldn't find anywhere on the box or on the lens "Mark II" being printed. So be aware mark I has red colour labels, while the newer version has all-black labels on the lens.

I'm switching from fixed lens camcorders to the GH5s and figured I'd buy a Panasonic lens to start off with. I have no complaints with my limited use and knowledge of the lens, but it hasn't produced any problems as far as picture quality goes and that is what I need it to do for now.

A good lens, on the GH5s it is 35mm equivalent of 24 - 70, a nice range and a good lens to start with. Focus feels good and zoom is smooth, be aware that it will not hold focus through a zoom as it is not parfocal.

I bought this lens about a month ago to use with the GH5. I had been reading about the duel stabilization that is achieved when paring a lens that has internal stabilization with the GH5 that has internal stabilization. But I was shocked when I actually experienced it. I can now shoot a lot more handheld shots and rely less on other forms of stabilization. As many other reviewers stated this lens stays on my camera. It is a little pricey but it is worth it.

When you think that a ($) SteadiCam was the defacto stabilization just a decade ago, then having this quality of stabilization at this price is pretty cool. The lens is sharp and fairly contrasty but still seems expensive when compared to full-frame Canon/Nikon glass. I chose this lens over the Sigma 18-35 and I'm glad I did. My GH5 remains compact where the Sigma is too big for use on our stabilizer.

I used this lens for my first wedding shoot and it performed like a champ. Can't say enough about how good it was in an indoor low light situation. I'm sold on this lens and it will probably become my most used gear.

The dual stabilization when paired with the GH5 makes it the perfect walk-around lens for a wedding filmmaker. As a FF equivalent of 24-70, it's about as wide as I want ot get for a wedding and the mid range zom is perfect for capturing unexpected moments. I use a GH5 with this lens which goes on and off my Zhiyun Crane and then keep another GH5 on a strap with a prime lens on it. With a the 35-100 f/2.8 II in my bag as well, that's a complete kit that fits into a smallish bag for carrying around during the day.
