What a great little camera! Love the features. Though I wish it had an EVF it has everything else I need at at almost half the cost of some comparable cameras. Plus, the size is small enough that I can take it anywhere and always have it on me, unlike my film SLRs. A great companion, and a good camera when I'm not shooting film.

This is a great point and shoot. The focus is crisp, the controls are easy to figure out, and there are a lot of great scenes if you just don't want to think about manual mode. This little camera is pocket sized but the photos are far ahead of what you can achieve with most point and shoots.

So far, so good. It has a super bright lens and the pictures are great.

There are a lot of features packed into a small case. Auto works well when you just need a quick shot, but with the ability to change so many functions you are able to control the composition of the photo.

Great camera! I was in desperate need of a compact yet powerful camera which can fit in my pocket since I'm tired of the trash iPhone camera deteriorating after 2 years. Obviously my DSLR is too cumbersome for day-to-day use or travelling so this offered the perfect solution. Image quality is impressive and just what I was looking for. I have been a Canon user for about 15 years and was hesitant to switch brands but decided to pull the trigger after watching reviews of this model on YouTube and weighing the pros + cons. The only thing I've found frustrating thus far is how confusing the process is of transferring images directly to your smartphone via wifi but once you finally figure it out it's an incredibly convenient feature.

Bought this camera mainly for hiking and cycling. The F1.4-2.8 aperture is the main reason I selected over the newer models with longer focal length. Colors, clarity, sharpness and features rival many full frame cameras. It is small enough to fit in my cycling jersey back pocket and I take everywhere with me. I have many other full frame cameras, and the Lumix LX-10’s ease of use and image quality impress me. Great camera in a small package.

pretty good quality for something that you can fit anywhere plus multi exposure shots and filters with quite a bit of creative power. Some of the over exposed shots this took by itself in sequence turned out to be very useful images. If it had Olympus's Key Line filter and better macro it would be my favorite little camera.

This camera takes great photos out of the box. It is responsive and has good color handling. I love the fast shutter speeds and the ability to take 4K videos and extract photos from them.My one complaint is that the wifi is very clunky to use. So much so that it is not usable. If wifi is one of your main desirable features, then look elsewhere. That being said, it is a great camera that at its heart takes good photos. That is enough for me to give it 5 stars.

Don’t buy this camera. You will have a hard time in getting backup battery and charger. They are hard to find products. Always buy canon camera products. They are way better with photo images qualities and easier to buy their accessories.

I have had a few weeks to play with this camera and I am impressed. I wanted to see what the auto settings would do so I walked around the yard for some flower pics and some macro with some bugs and boy did it shine. Then I did some no flash indoor shots with some 4th of July decorations and our cats and again they were really good. To get any bokeh out of a point and shot was really nice. Then I went raw and manual with our grand daughters and those were awesome too. I can't wait to do some bands with stage lights in a week or so. I shoot a Nikon Full frame and with the newest 70-200 2.8 it's a ton of weight and the 24-70 2.8 as well. And I got tired of missing pics with a cell phone so this is a great tool to stick in your pocket. And you can't go wrong with the added kit with an extra battery and 64gig card and the other stuff too.

Fairly compact. Fast lens. Love the 24mm. Wish I could add a UV filter on somehow to protect against sand/damage.

The camera itself is as expected, but the accessories in the kit we're highly disappointing. The attached camera bag is too small for this camera, why would you include that in the bundle!!!! The dimension of the generic branded spare battery is also too large because it was stuck in the battery compartment after I managed to push it in. I had to use a dental tool to hook the plastic cover of the battery to remove it! There memory card and the tripod were fine, but I would definitely recommend not getting the bundle since many of the accessories were simple not worth the extra cost and just get there camera only.

It was like me in 2006 with my first LEICA D Lux 3 - a fantastic and fun toy and/or tool. Such a tiny, well-made and engineered camera! So many MORE options and a faster lens on the LX, though. Will take a while to learn all of the options. May never use 4K - except as a B camera - but neat to see it here. Miss it not having a mic. jack. DO buy an after-market charger here - the camera comes only with a charge thru camera cord. Always buy a spare battery, too! Really wanted an LX100, however after reading more recent reviews - I decided to buy the LX10 for newer features - used from Adorama. Buy one - go play and create imagery! Oh, yeah - I also own a kitted out Fujifilm X30 flash and stereo mic.) and a wonderful Pentax MX-1. Both bought used from Adorama this Winter....

This camera's photos won't compete with a DSLR at the same price point but what you do get is a pocketable camera that you can take everywhere on your travels and will do a better job than most smartphones. Where this camera shines the most however, is its 4k video quality. Truly great and sharp video that makes you lose yourself into the breathtaking scenes you capture. With such a wide aperture of 1.4 I even am able to shoot decent video inside buildings, but outside in bright direct sunlight you'll need to raise your shutter speed or buy a ND Filter to stay shooting at 50fps for smooth non-jarring movements and without blowing out your highlights. Also enable extended iso range to get as low as 80 iso for better picture in good light. In dim lighting the picture quality is suitable if you use flash and you can tilt the flash back to bounce it off of the ceiling or walls.

I have spent months researching the LX10 and similar competing cameras. I'm not a professional, I just needed a camera that takes better pictures than a smartphone. I do know the basics of aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. I really love the first pictures that I taken with the LX10, the first pics were from Intelligent Auto mode. However, I started using other modes like aperture-priority and manual. If you're a smartphone user looking to find a camera that takes better pics, the LX10 is a great option. Once you get used to it, it does feel like you're handling a smartphone cam, but with better quality pics. The LX10 has no grip but it's pretty handy with the wrist strap. Like with all expensive electronics you touch, just be careful with it. I really hope Panasonic continues to make premium compact cameras in the future. Panasonic can add longer zoom range in the new models. There's a reason why people love portable compact electronics. I don't feel like a DSLR or even a compact mirrorless with interchangeable lens is for me. The LX10 feels really cool for me. There are other models as well like the ZS100 and LX10 with different features.

Phenomenal Leica lens for the price, tons of adjustment options, from fully manual to fully automatic and everything in between. In fact, almost too much. Easy to use in fully auto mode but difficult to master to full potential due to the innumerable ways to adjust it. Just wish the HDR function didn't automatically process the three original images and delete them so user could also have the option to process them on desktop.

I got the LX10 as a travel camera. I hike, bike and traipse around cities, and lugging a big DSLR just wasn't cutting it. Things I like: The LX10 produces sharp, well exposed images. The lens is fast, which is especially handy when taking photos inside or at dusk. The macro mode helps me capture wildflower images with ease. The LX10 is solidly built and compact. There are a ton of features to explore. Things I don't: The LX10 isn't particularly ergonomic. It's slippery and hard to the touch. I thought long and hard about getting a mirrorless camera instead of the LX10 but I'm glad I went this route. I like the compact size, retractable lens and full feature set of this little powerhouse.

The Panasonic DMC-LX10 digital camera has been in my hands for only 7 days. These comments are preliminary, but perhaps helpful to some individuals. The camera appears to be carefully engineered and manufactured. The Owner's Manual for Advanced Features provides accurate explanations for putting this camera into practical use. My interest in acquiring this digital camera was to get more ability to control image-making effects. The point-and-shoot camera that served me well for about 10 years, an used to make 80,000 images, is bettered by this camera which offers more user control of image effects. It is important to have ability to manipulate aperture area and exposure time for picture environments. In conjunction with this is the need for selecting depth of field and focus. The lenses appears to be an excellent choice for allowing the photographer's control of image effects. Up to this time I have not found anything critical related to chromatic or spherical aberration. The image effects done with software, like the monochromatic options, should be very useful. There is much about this digital camera to discover. It seems to cover a broad set of needs and desires for making images.

The picture quality is fantastic and was exactly what i was looking for. I wanted a small camera that i could carry around without it being to bulky. I didn't want to mess with needing lenses and wanted a robust feature set for those special times. This camera was great as a simple point and shoot and i loved that i could get in deep with controls if I wanted. all the features like 4k photo mode worked very well. Overall i loved the camera and am very satisfied with my purchase.

What drew me to the LX10 over comparable models? I would have to say it was a combination of features. Other cameras may have these capabilities, but the LX10 had the total package. 4 K Video, 4K Photo, WiFi, Extended ISO to 25,600, 49 Focus Points etc. I am also very impressive with this LX10 when taken photo in a dark environment. I can't believe the picture quality can compare with my Full Frame Canon 6D. The low light control in LX10 is doing very well so that I can take picture at night or indoor without any problem. Good value for the bundle with the extra battery and SD card. Good set of software too. Just getting used to the camera. Has lots of options that I'm working through. So many that it's a little confusing ; could do with a somewhat more clearly written manual. So far the photos are looking good and the video is super sharp.

Inside the LUMIX LX10 beats the heart of a photographic enthusiast. And with a 1-in, 20 MP 4K sensor, LEICA lens and more, you’ll feel it in every image.
The 1-inch 20.1-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor records 4K and high-quality photos in super-sharp detail. Combined with the Venus Engine, ISO12800 / Extended ISO25600 recording with stunning picture quality is possible.
Photo creativity is based on light, and it all begins with the lens. With the LUMIX LX10 a crystal-clear F1.4-2.8 24-72mm LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX lens provides a decisive edge even in low light, and adds a beautiful bokeh effect.
With a minimum focusing distance of 3cm (wide) and 30cm (tele), capturing spectacular close-up details, even handheld, is possible thanks to a proven POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer).
Fast-action focusing is never a problem thanks to the DFD (Depth From Defocus) that instantly calculates the distance to the subject and quickly establishes a focus lock for 6 fps burst AFC or 10 fps burst AFS.
4K delivers a far more intense viewing experience. Its native resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels is four times larger than Full HD for a much higher level of detail.
The camera's 4K PHOTO mode taps into 4K video recorded at a blistering 30 frames per second, to let you select the single best image after shooting.
Now even after you've taken the photo you can refocus it with Post Focus. Just review the image on the camera's screen and touch the part of the photo you want to be pinpoint sharp. It's that simple.
Focus Stacking mode enables you to adjust in-focus areas after shooting by easily combining multiple images in the LUMIX LX10. A great benefit when shooting macro images.
The large 3.0-inch (approx. 1040k-dot) touch-screen monitor tilts upward to selfies and ground level photography easy. When flipped up 180 degrees, selfie settings are automatically set.
A lens-mounted aperture ring adds precise control of the bright LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX lens (F/1.4-2.8). Plus, dual control of the lens ring and rear dial adds manual control of shutter, zoom and focus.
Focus Bracket and Aperture Bracketing provide additional creative options. Select the mode that matches the situation or conditions, then choose the best photo.
The Light Composition function builds an image from video by choosing and saving bright pixels to produce a dramatic image of situations like fireworks or night scenery.
Record videos at 120 fps in FHD quality for scenes that can't be seen with the naked eye, and play them back in dramatic slow motion.
With 4K Live Cropping only the recording frame moves while the camera maintains a fixed position, allowing for stable panning.
