Shopper : Does the screen just tilt or actually articulate?David W : Does neither. Just a fixed screen. I travelled all over Australia and New Zealand with this camera for two months and love it! As I have all the past Lumix cameras. Great zoom features, the resolution of the eye viewfinder is greatly improved from my last Lumix and comes in handy in bright sunlight that makes the display hard to see.S Y : Screen does not move, but it does have a rangefinder for when it is too light to see the screen. Glass is excellent. I am enjoying the camera, easy to carry in pocket so always handy.RON F : the screen is fixed to the back of the camera. But this is an excellent product - the optical zoom is really good and the glass is too! It is great for taking candids at a distance.James G : neither, doesn't move at all, good camera otherwise
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?BRIAN S : Compact with EVF, Large sensor and long zoom - to replace Olympus Stylus S1 which is no longer soldOleg B : it has 15x zoomKENNETH H : Looking for good quality pocketable travel camera

Great point and shoot camera with long zoom lens

I only used it for a few practice photos to understand the menus. Took some very good videos of our grandkids playing soccer. If you want a point and shoot camera with lots of features and a long telephoto this is a good camera. You don't have to use all the options but if you don't plan to use them you can find simpler cameras for less money. One minor complaint with package sold with camera - the case they provide is too small for the camera. It will fit but you really have to work it to get it in. I bought a CaseLogic case that fits it perfectly with a pocket to hold extra battery and memo One thing I will say about Adorama - they have great customer service to go along with their competitive prices! They agreed to take back a camera I bought that stopped working after a week - even though the manufacturer wanted me to return it at my expense to determine what is wrong with it. Who knows how that would turn out! So I'll always look to adorama for my electronic and photo needs.

Very good travel camera

The Lumix ZS-200 is a great travel camera. I used for a tour with a group. You don't have time to change lenses or make major adjustments. I still have a lot to learn about various shooting options. I heavily used the exposure bracketing, panoramas, exposure compensation. Switching between modes was easy, but remembering the exposure setting for the next stop was where I made some (not disastrous errors). Auto focus worked great. My one complaint was that the camera was not rugged. A small drop fouled the shutter over of the lens. Fortunately, this was relatively easy to fix with a toothpick. I've tried some other features that worked well, focus stacking was easy, HDR worked well.

Lumix ZS200 Great Travel Camera

I was looking for a good travel camera that could exceed what my phone could do. This camera received good reviews on several sites which also explain some of the features and compromises involved with having an integrated 24-360mm,zoom lens better that I could but so far I have been very happy with it. For me it has all the features I was looking for such as the 1" sensor at a decent price point and is small enough to easily carry around on travel. Adorama had the best price and their bundle made buying it here a no-brainer. Highly recommend the bundles, mine came with a load of accessories including a second battery, charger, tripod, case, and more for only about $10 more than everyone else was charging for just the camera.

LUMIX dc-as 200 great compact camera

Very compact. Has automatic settings that takes complexity out of equation. You can change settings to get what you want in the picture or video.

GREAT POCKET CAMERA

Great pocket camera. Images are very sharp but less so at maximum telephoto setting. Many good features make it complicated to learn. The best in it's class and price!

Excellent camera with useful accessories

Very happy with the ZS200 and the accessory package. Together they make a great deal. The extra battery and memory card are essentials and alone make the accessory kit a valuable add. The other items in the kit are quality too. The ZS200 is my third Lumix. I wanted something smaller than my FZ1000 for an extended trip that will have me constrained to one roll-aboard for 2 months. Many things to like about the camera but the excellent macro capability was an unexpected bonus (I take lots of photos of tiny nature stuff).

Grab and Go Camera

Grab and go camera to back up my Canon M50 or to stick in my pocket on a nature preserve walk. Excellent quality slightly noticeable better resolution and dime light performance relative to my Lumix zs-70. Would buy either of them again.

Panasonic Lumix ZS200 vs ZS100

Slightly better than the Lumix ZS100 in most respects except it does not have a two speed zoom. Much better zoom range (15x versus 10x for the ZS100) and better anti-shake. Worht the extra money.

Highly capable camera, but also extremely complex.

Overall, I like this camera pretty well. It is extremely complex and the manual does not cover that complexity well. Examples: during my recent vacation, I somehow activated the 'take a picture by touching the screen' function. I don't know how I did that or how to turn it off, resulting in a lot of deleting of pictures of the ground. Also, the location of the FN1 button so near the finger grip means I often push it by accident just while holding the camera. Example 2: I have had a really hard time figuring out the macro capabilities. Sometimes it works like I expect, but often I can't get it to focus as close as I expect it to. And I guess there is a setting somewhere that changes the focus assist from the outline in blue to a magnified area of the screen (that is off center for an unknown reason). One main factor in choosing this camera was the presence of the viewfinder, but so far I've found it too small to be usable in most cases. And when using polarized sunglasses, the screen and viewfinder are both almost black when the camera is turned to portrait mode. I do like the zoom capability, but it is almost impossible to use it to take pictures of birds in flight, as the focus is too slow to adjust. I haven't tried it with manual focus preset to infinity, which might work better. The modal menu structure and functions are also very confusing. My recommendation is qualified by saying that I would only recommend the camera to someone willing to invest the time to learn how to use it, a significant amount of time.

Small camera deal for hiking and paddling

I needed a smaller high zoom camera for backpacking and paddling and this camera fits the bill. Small but rugged and I really like the built-in lens cap for maximum lens protection. The 360mm equivalent lens of this camera means I can take wildlife photos again when hiking or paddling. The photos are very good?not quite as good as my more expensive but heavier camera but certainly good enough. Lots of features (too many perhaps?) and lots of menu options but it is quite easy to use the basic settings and get excellent photos. Very glad I purchased this camera as it was very useful on a recent 7-day backpack trip.

I would give this a 5 star review except that the double charger included in the accessories does not work.

Good value

It is a little premature to rate or review this camera as I have not really used it yet to take photos. I am currently setting it up and reading the manual (a 1st for me, lol).I did have some problems with the accessories not fitting and am working with Adorama to replace or refund items, but...I am pleased with the customer service, price and value of the accessories package. I got the camera at a good discount and like the size and feel of it. I am used to a Nikon so it'll take me a bit of time to adjust to the new operating system. Perhaps I will update this review at a later date.

Great travel camera.

I was looking for a travel camera with decent zoom, a viewfinder and a large sensor. This fit the bill. The viewfinder is great, but I am just starting to learn all the capabilities of this camera. One feature I really like is the panorama mode. The bundle included items I would need immediately - SD card and spare battery with charger, so that worked out great as well.

This is exactly the camera my wife wanted. It takes great pictures and easy to use. plus, it has many outstanding features which allows pictures that look like a professional photographer took them. The bundle package included everything needed. We highly recommend this camera and the bundle is a true bonus.

Great little camera, but there is a learning curve.

It seems like a really nice camera. However, I am a novice and so far have only mastered basic point and shoot function. The instruction book that comes with the camera does not explain thing very well. I have ordered a book hoping that it will serve as a better guide. The accessory package that comes with the camera was also very nice, but the camera bag with some sort of sling strap was not that great. I will probably invest $35 in a leather fitted case.

A very good travel camera

The Panasonic ZS200 is a good all around camera asa walk around and vacation camera. It's small and compact and easy to carry around. I liked that it has a zoom range from 24mm to 360mm equivalent of a 35mm camera. The smaller 1" sensor still gets detailed pics, the only downside I found was that it still couldn't handle some of the lower light situations that my Pentax APS-C camera can. I would highly recommend this camera as a travel or vacation camera because of it's overall good quality pics and very easy to transport size.

Nice pocketable camera for non pixel peeper

It's has a 24-360mm equivalent lens, 1-inch type CMOS and is still pocketable. I'd call this a win. 1-inch sensor gives it reasonably good dynamic range and high ISO performance. The lens isn't stellar. It's kind of slow and soft towards the tele end, but still takes reasonably good photos. The tele end isn't going to satisfy pixel peepers, but I find it good enough for documenting everyday life and hiking trips. I put it in a pouch on backpack shoulder strap for quick photos even when I have my a7r3 with me.

better than a phone

I needed a decent camera for carrying around in a pocket, but that had better definition, zoom and wide angle settings than my android phone camera. this one is a perfect mid-step between the phone and my Nikon D7200

Panasonic does it again

This camera has all the bells and whistles you would want in a "point and shoot" camera. The only thing I would improve is having an aux jack so you can plug in a mic.

New focus

It has been a number of years since I carried a camera on a trip. I decided to compare and invest in a new camera and decided Lumix dmc-zs200 was the best choice for my needs. It has been a terrific choice - closeups, long shots, panaramas, and portraits. Great clarity, great flexibility and room to grow.

Small size and good image quality

I like this camera, it is small and easy to take it around. I compared image quality side by side with APS-C size DSLR, it is almost the same. On tele side 360mm, DSLR wins on image quality. Video quality is great, I will use more often to taking scenic and family video.

great bundle for a bit more than camera

Just as illustrated bundle more than meets needs. The memory card and extra battery if purchased separately would be more than this package. Camera is solidly built with good hand feel. Electronic viewfinder is clear and great during sunny shoots. Only issue is it took a week to arrive cross country (CA). Would use Adorama again without hesitation.

Excellent Choice for Travellers

I was comparing between the sony RX100 V, Canon G7x and the ZS200. From the photo quality, they are very much similar to each other. from the video quality, Sony is the best then canon and finally is the ZS. For me, I am using this camera mainly to take photos with family and it was very important for me to have a camera with a long optical zoom. This camera is matching with my needs and I am very happy with my purchase through Adorama.

So close but not there.

I was really looking forward towards this camera. The specs looks great on paper. Once I got the camera in my hands, I gave it a good work out on a trip to the California Science center. I though the low light performance of the camera was very good when taking photos of the Space Shuttle in a dark enclosed setting. Most of my out door photos were pretty good too. Two things made me return the camera. The 4k videos that I took had weird flicker problems and the video seemed washed out in other situations. No mater what I tried, the videos were very disappointing. The straw that broke the camels back on this camera for me, I mounted this camera on a tri pod, and it was impossible to zoom to the moon, it just could not focus on the moon. I put my older Canon SX700 camera on the tri pod, and it right away focused on the craters of the moon. For $ camera, my expectations were a bit higher for me.

So Far... Wow!

Just starting to play with this camera and it is loaded with amazing features. Quality of photos is excellent. Been waiting for a large sensor with a long zoom and panasonic finally did it. Focus speeds are fantastic. The amount of overriding manual and variation controls on settings is staggering. So it will take a while for me to get thru them all. Burst shooting modes are great. Controls are intuitive and pretty easy to use. Electronic viewfinder works really well. Color is not a match for the back panel but to me that is not important. Even has a focus adjustment on it. Touch panel rear screen is very responsive and not to touchy. Never used that so will take time to get used to it. All knobs and switches are very solid and high quality and perfectly placed. Finally a great rubberized front bar and rear thumb pad that offer great grip on this camera. 4K video quality is also fantastic. While price may seem high, I cant imagine getting more features and quality in a compact model which is perfect for a variety of uses. And both wifi and bluetooth as well. They didnt miss a thing on this. For travel this is tops. I really think they hit a home run with this new model.

So Far... Wow!

By love p.

Color is not a match for...

Excellent Choice for Travellers

By Aiman L.

It also enables stunning macro shots as close as 3cm. For even more creative photography, the LUMIX ZS200 integrates a new L.Monochrome mode in Photo Style, to create an impressive monochrome image with rich gradation like that of black-and-white film.
