This is the best battery for the GH5!
Do NOT cut yourself short by trying to save a few bucks with a knock off.

Works, but expensive - and no plastic safety cap
It's undoubtedly a good battery, but good grief, Panasonic. For $ you could at least include a plastic safety cap to cover the terminals, like everyone else does! Instead, you include a small ziplock bag that's awkward to put the battery in. For one quarter of your price I can get a third party battery from a reliable brand name and accept the fact that theirs may not hold a charge quite as long and doesn't have a safety cap.

It’s a battery...
I can charge it and it makes my camera work. I am a little disappointed it doesn’t come with a cap to protect the terminals. The ones for my G5 and G7 did. You would think the higher end ones would come with one. Instead there is a bad little ziplock bag that won’t last. Hence 4 stars.

Costs a bit more, but it’s your best guaranteed battery life compared to third party batteries that don’t last as long.

Factory batteries with Panasonic— worth it!
They are Panasonic factory units, so work well with no surprises. Using them in my LUMIX GH5. As with any rechargeable, I wish they’d last longer but do run enough time while recording to not be an irritant. I keep 5 total of these in my camera bag as all day production is common, and so far without fail. If you are wavering between Sony cameras and Panasonic cameras, battery life was a huge consideration when settling on Panasonic. Watched a colleague recording on a Sony alpha7 go through twice as many batteries on the same day that I was recording. Way to go Panasonic! Way happy with these batteries and the LUMIX GH5!

Fits Sigma sd Quattro also...
I actually purchased this Panosonic for my Sigma sd Quattro camera as the batteries are exactly the same, only this battery is $25 cheaper than the Sigma battery! Very, VERY happy!
