Shopper : I have a panasonic lumix DMC G3 camera, will this mic work with it?TOM A : The camera must have a mic input. You can also check with Panasonic.
Jerry w : I have an older model panasonic dvd camcorder (AG DVC-10) will this mic work with it?KIRK R : I'd think that it would as long as the camera accepts 2.5mm plug on the MS1, not the 3.5mm that is commonplace. If not, an inexpensive adapter would convert.

Avoids Motor and Handling Noise!

In defense of this little add-on LUMIX stereo mic, it makes a greart ambient recorder for outdoor events and concerts, in particular. It isolates the audio from any autofocus or zoom motor noise withing the camera, so in that sense it's a huge step up from the internal mics. Also, it doesn't overload easily and gives a clean, moderately-compressed signal. It's not a shotgun -- those are equally affordable if that's what you're looking for.

It should work . . .

I do not yet know the best application for this mic. It is supposed to do well picking up sound at a distant. The built in mic doesn't, so I am hoping I get 20+ feet of audio pick up. We'll see. BW
