Not what I expected. The pictures show the charger that plugs directly in the outlet. The one that came has a power brick and a cable. Definitely not compact and travel friendly. I gave 3 stars because it should work. I have emailed Adorama about the issue but have not received a response.

After disappointed by third party batter and charger, I decided on purchasing the original Panasonic one. So far, I am very pleased with the charger and battery itself. I absolutely recommend using the original brand battery and charger. Service from Adorama is A+ as well.

My primary concern was getting the correct battery. It was correct, just like shown in the picture. I was expecting the charger to plug directly into the wall, just like the one that originally came with the camera which I lost. I was surprised to find that it was a USB charger. It did come with a wall plug so it works fine and the USB interface may be a little more versatile for my purposes.

The Panasonic has done a wonderful job combining zoom and macro photography for travelers. One needs to get used to the various functions available to optimize the experience. I hope this camera is further improved with a larger sensor.

Having this extra battery and wall charger allows me to keep taking pictures while the spare is being charged. The model Panasonic camera I purchased came with an AC adapter and cable which must be attached to charge. The camera cannot be used remotely unless you have a spare battery. The spare battery cannot be charged if you are using the camera.

The plug that goes into the wall, folds into the unit which makes it easy to carry around in a camera bag on on an airline so a battery can be charged while flying. I'm not sure about all planes but the ones that I have been on, have outlets where electronic can be plugged in. I have only had this a week or so but I have other similar charges and they have lasted for a long period of time without problems

Simple to use, just line up the battery terminals with the prongs in the charger and plug it into a wall socket. Light turns off when charge it complete.

I was glad to have this charger for "free" with my new GX85, since I would have had to buy it separately anyway. You also need an extra battery with the GX85, and the generics (even all the well-known generic brands) are simply not the same as the Panasonic and never seem to have consistency from one battery to the next or give accurate battery level indications. The charger plugs directly into the wall with a foldable charger plug, and there are no cords. I have no problems with the charger or battery and am fully satisfied with both.

Beats trying to charge the battery in the camera. Compact enough to store it in a small camera case along with the camera.
