easy eye cup
Been doing a lot of birding lately and on sunny days with the sun behind my back or left shoulder it was difficult to discern anything in the viewfinder. The extended cup changed all that. I'm quite pleased with the product & Adorama was one of the few places that still caried it & the only one that made purchasing convenient.

Easy add on.
It’s a “must do” first accessory for the Panasonic GX8. It’s comfortable and excellent at blocking ambient light. Love it!

Worth the $ to add to a great camera
The GX8 is my most used mft body. Great design. Intuitive button layout. Great IQ. And the evf is fantastic. Adding the eye cup is a luxury but it really works to solve the light bleed. Love it. Worth the $

Works Perfectly-Keeps out the Side Light
I was having trouble with side light interfering in my shooting experience so I purchased the DMW-EC3 Eyecup for my Lumix GX8 and it works perfectly. Problem solved.

I wear glasses and this eye cup makes seeing the viewfinder much easier.

A must have for the GX8
This should have come stock on the GX8.
It allows you to cut out all the surrounding light and fully open your eye when looking at the great EVF on the GX8.

Whether you wear eyeglasses or not this eye cup provides more coverage to help eliminate glare on the eyepiece. Well worth the price.

Great Extra for the gx8
This is a great addition to the gx8 let's very little light into the eyecup.

Needed extra for panasonic gx8
This eye piece offers better viewing of your image and cuts down on the amount of light entering the eyepiece. This also helps thoughs who wear glasses.

Makes a world of difference
This really helps prevent light entry from the side of the eye when using the EVF, and makes it much easier to compose your shot, especially in bright or strongly sunlight situations.
It snaps on in place of the original eye cup, which is relatively easily removed.
I find it a little deep for use with glasses, but works great without, for me.

Eyecup for GX8

Indispensable eyecup
Indispensable eyecup for the GX8. The standard OEM eyecup is not very good - lets in a lot of light. This eyecup is superb.

Deep and flexble
This eyecup provides excellent eye shading for the EVF viewfinder. It sticks out much more from the camera body than the standard eyecup, but the soft rubber can be compressed or rolled back on itself easily. Good choice for bright daylight shooting.

Nice after installed
I found the original eyecup that was on the camera very difficult to remove using the 3-part picture that came with the DMW-EC3. Once that was gone, installation of the new eyecup was easy. It improves the ease of using the exceptional viewfinder for those with glasses and does not require hardly any more room to store the GX8 in a camera bag. The EC3 is not needed if you do not have glasses.
