The Lumix G95 offers great value among comparable mid-level cameras in the same price range. I bought mine to supplement my trusty Lumix FZ80 long-zoomer. The G95 builds on the feature set of the FZ80 and adds new functions like enhanced video capability while maintaining a familiar menu structure, and expanding great features like 4K Photo, Bracketing, Post Focus and others. The larger G95 sensor elevates resolution as well. Both of my Lumix cameras are well built yet small enough that I will carry both on my outdoor photography adventures.

This camera keeps recording long past the 30-minute (or less) time limit of my other cameras (Mirrorless and DSLR). I think it has a 12 or 13-hour recording limit if one powers it off of AC. I use it mounted to a tripod and only for recording video, and so that is what my 5-star rating is based on. I swapped the kit lens that came with it with the Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4-5.6 "R" Zoom Lens I had been using on my Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II Mirrorless camera. The speed of the autofocus (face recognition) greatly improved on both cameras. I have no idea why. Another curiosity is that the audio is terrible when my Sennheiser MKE 200 microphone or Samson C02 microphone is connected (the latter via an IK Multimedia iRig Pre 2 Mobile Microphone Interface). But when I attach a $17 no-name microphone, the audio is great for a camera in this price range. However, that might be pilot error on my part.

Love it. Great price. In time I wanna upgrade further, but for the price this is a great grab. I use it for photographing my metalwork. Since the things I make are relatively small, slim, and long, I want to upgrade to the next step up which has any 250 focus points vs 49. The focus stacking and Bluetooth connection is the biggest draw for me.

Love it. I've been using micro four-thirds for a while and this is my latest. Panasonic mirrorless cameras have the best setup quick for run and gun and this doesn't disappoint.

The G95 is a good prosumer camera and wonderful for travel. Lighter than my GH5, it has the fun filters and settings to assist with a wide range of shooting environments. For travel (and video for that matter), the ability to charge on the fly via microUSB is great as is the weather resistance of the body the the 12-60 kit lens. Yes, it is micro four-thirds so don't expect it to be a great camera for shooting outdoor night football. But that also means the 12-60 kit lens is the equivalent of a 24-120 lens, which pretty much hit all the right bases in the 35mm film era.

This being my first MFT camera I am extremely impressed with how it handles low light. There is some noise with this sensor in extremely lowlight, but that is to be expected. It has also paired up quickly to my phone for remote functioning. The biggest positive about this camera is its speed. When you want to take a picture it's ready to go within a split second, and no waiting for the mirror to get out of the way when taking pictures; even with the mechanical shutter it is light-years ahead of DSLR cameras in terms of speed. Great intro camera into the Panasonic MFT world.

I have had three copies of the included lens, two of which were slightly defective (in ways that others may not notice). The camera was noticeably heavier than my similar G7 (which has no in-body stabilization), and more expensive -- but I eventually bought a G9 instead to add to my (too large) collection of cameras, although the G9 is both heavier and larger than the G95, and more expensive...

After researching and watching YouTube for suggested cameras, I have found this camera to fit my needs well. I am not an avid photographer, but I figured I would get one that takes excellent photos as well as operate like a video camera for live streaming events which is the primary function this will serve. I am very pleased with the quality of the camera and photos/videos it produces. I now want to add some additional lenses as the kit lens is only ok. I need something with a little more zoom and also another lens with a lower aperture.

fantastic camera, wonderful condition nice and sturdy, doesn't feel plasticy or like a toy but still light enough to be an all day shooter

At first I thought....WHAT is this little camera going to do for my photography THEN I took it with me to a party and BAM this camera KICKS ASS. I am so IMPRESSED, if you know what you're doing this camera will do the job VERY WELL. Thank you Adorama and LUMIX

Awesome capability in a small package. If I were to do it all over again, though, I would have spent a little more for the G9.

Bought this camera and kit lens as a back up for the GH5, especially given its lack of an arbitrary recording time limit. It has functioned flawlessly as my b-cam for multiple weekly assignments over the past year. The kit lens is lightweight and sharp, making this outfit a great carry everywhere camera in and of itself. Overall a great camera and lens at a good price point.

Let me start that overall I really like the 20 meg sensor output and the new Venus engine - OOC jpeg's are really good. Being a long time Panasonic user I view separate WB, ISO and exposure adjustment buttons as a learning curve - almost tempted to remap them to the round dial in the back. Feel and handling is great and EVF is way better then GX9. Between EVF and weather sealing is why I picked G95 instead of GX9 whose format I personally prefer better. Also, the bundled lens is nothing special - did a quick compare to Sigma 60mm 2.8 and it blows kit lens away in resolution at 60mm. At least kit lens is as good as 12-32 I already had, so it can replace it for walkabout. Will have to seriously look at 12-60 2.8/4 to replace kit but it feels like wasting money - thanks Panasonic... So in conclusion, what I really wanted is GX10 - basically GX9 with weather sealing and EVF from G95.

- Lumix G95 Mirrorless Digital Camera -
The Panasonic LUMIX G95 Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) camera incorporates a Four Thirds 20.3-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor without a low-pass filter for maximum performance. The LUMIX G95 utilizes the Micro Four Thirds lens mount standard, ideal for hybrid photographers and video bloggers (vlogging or vlog). The LUMIX G95 incorporates an advanced 5-axis Dual I.S.2 (Image Stabilizer) for even more powerful and effective blurring suppression. Combining an O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer, 2-axis) and B.I.S.(Body Image Stabilizer, 5-axis), it compensates for larger movements.
The LUMIX G95 also integrates an OLED LVF (Live View Finder) with 2360K-dot high resolution in approx. 1.48x/0.74x (35mm camera equivalent) magnification capability. A Venus Engine in the LUMIX mirrorless cameras is more capable of tracking moving subjects, and prevent out-of-focus shots even when the subject is fast-moving or when an obstacle cuts across in front of the subject. Newly added AF Sensitivity mode lets the user set the tracking sensitivity according to the shooting situation. The popular LUMIX free-angle 3.0-inch large OLED rear monitor (approximately 1,040K-dot resolution) adopts a touch control system, making shooting in high and low angles easier.
The V-Log L is pre-installed in the LUMIX G95 for exceptional flexibility and wider dynamic range for color grading in the post-production process, and V-Log L features log characteristics with 12 stops of dynamic range. The LUMIX G95 mirrorless digital camera boasts a rugged design with a front structure composed of a magnesium-alloy, full-diecast front frame. Plus, splash/dust-resistant construction with sealed joints, dials and buttons.
20.3 Megapixel Sensor
The 20.3MP Digital Live MOS Sensor without a low-pass filter drives maximum performance. A Tuned Three-dimensional Color Control detects not only hue and saturation but also brightness and applies optimal control according to the value of each factor.
25600 Max ISO
The combination of the Digital Live MOS Sensor and the Venus Engine achieves clear image rendering with minimum noise even in low-lit situations and at max. ISO 25600.
5-Axis Dual I.S. 2
The LUMIX G95 incorporates 5-axis Dual I.S.2 (Image Stabilizer) which has advanced to boast even more powerful and effective blurring suppression. Combining an O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer, 2-axis) and B.I.S. (Body Image Stabilizer, 5-axis), making it possible to use maximum 5-stop slower shutter speed.
DFD Focus Technology
The DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology in LUMIX G95 calculates the distance to the subject by evaluating two images with different sharpness levels while consulting the data of optical characteristics of the current lens in a moment.
AF Sensitivity Mode
A Venus Engine in the LUMIX G95 is more capable of tracking moving subjects, and prevent out-of-focus shots even when the subject is fast-moving or when an obstacle cuts across in front of the subject. Newly added AF Sensitivity mode lets the user set the tracking sensitivity according to the shooting situation.
Face/Eye Detection AF
The LUMIX G95 incorporates Face/Eye Detection AF to automatically set focus right on the eye of a human face to capture stunning portraits with a crisp focus on the eye. With the Pinpoint AF, users can magnify the target area for more precise focus. A total of 49 focus detection areas enable more flexible composition together with the Custom Multi AF mode. Focus peaking is also available for precision manual focusing.
Splash/Dust-Resistant
To withstand heavy field use, the LUMIX G95 boasts a rugged design with a front structure composed of a magnesium alloy full diecast front frame. It also features splash/dust-resistant construction with sealed joints, dials and buttons.
Viewfinder
The LUMIX G95 has a large LVF (Live View Finder) with a high magnification ratio of approx. 1.48x/0.74x (35mm camera equivalent). High-precision, high-speed OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display features 2,360K-dot high resolution and 100% field of view.
3.0-inch Touch Display
Adopting a static-type touch control system, the 3.0-inch OLED rear monitor with 1040K-dot high resolution features free-angle shooting. It tilts up and down by approximately 250-degree to make shooting in either high or low angle even easier.
4K Video
The LUMIX G95 records stunningly smooth, high-resolution 4K video in 3840x2160 at 30p/25p (50Hz Area) 30p(60Hz Area) or 24p in addition to the full-HD 1,920 x 1,080 60p/50p (50Hz Area) 60p(60Hz Area) videos with practical full-time AF.
The maximum available continuous recording- When the ambient temperature is high or continuous recording is performed, the camera may stop the recording to protect itself. Wait until the camera cools down.
High-Speed Video
High-Speed Video records slow-motion video in Full HD at 120 fps (1/4x), 90 fps(1/3x) and 60 fps (1/2x).
Micro HDMI 4:2:2 8-Bit Output
The LUMIX G95 has a micro HDMI port of real-time image output to the external monitor in 4:2:2/8-bit via an optional micro HDMI cable simultaneously while recording video.
V-Log L Pre-Installed
The V-Log L is pre-installed for exceptional flexibility, as well as a wider dynamic range for color grading in the post-production process. V-Log L features log characteristics with 12 stops of dynamic range.
Microphone Jack
In addition to a 3.5mm mic jack for high-quality audio recording while using an external microphone, such as Panasonic External Stereo/Shotgun Microphone DMW-MS2,a headphone socket is added for sound output.
Post Focus
Post Focus lets users select the in-focus area even after shooting. This function was developed by combining the high-speed, high-precision DFD (Depth From Defocus) auto focus technology and 4K technology.
Focus Stacking
The Focus Stacking function enables users to adjust the depth of field after shooting by combining multiple images shot with Post Focus. Users do not need to focus strictly while shooting. They can obtain the image with the defocus level they want or pan-focus simply by selecting the focus area after shooting.
L.Monochrome D
L.Monochrome D is a Photo Style mode that makes shooting dynamic monochrome photos possible with emphasized highlights and shadows while preserving the details. All three monochrome modes -Monochrome, L.Monochrome and L.Monochrome D - allow the user to adjust the grain effect between High/Standard/Low for more creative monochrome photo shooting.
Live View Composite Recording
The camera releases the shutter at designated intervals of exposure time and synthesizes the parts with high luminosity to produce a single picture. While the total brightness of each consecutive images is accumulated in bulb shooting, only the target subject, the bright parts of an image, are detected and the user can synthesize them carefully while seeing it in live view.
Bluetooth And Wi-Fi Connectivity
Once the camera is connected to a smartphone or tablet installed with the Panasonic Image App for iOS/Android, users can shoot, browse and share images remotely with Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz (IEEE802.11b/g/n). Combining these technologies enable the camera to activate by simply using a smartphone/tablet or to add GPS geotag on the photos automatically.
AC/USB Power Charging
The camera's battery can be recharged either via AC or USB according to the user's convenience.
