Shopper : What's a good telephoto lense for travel with this camera?David L : 35-100 F2.8John E : A good and inexpensive choice is the panasonic 45-150 mm f4.0-5.6. Strictly for travel, the panasonic 14-140 mm f3.5- 5.6 zoom covers the full range, eliminates the need for changing lenses, and is a little sharper, but it is more expensive.DAVE K : I bought my GX85 bundled with 12-32 and 45-150. I also had a Olympus 40-150. Both the 45-150 and 40-150 are very good IMO. However, the 45-150 works better with GX85 - dual OS as well as DFD.Kenneth R : Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75mm f1.8 (Black) Lens for Olympus and Panasonic Micro 4/3 CamerasMITCH G : Take a look at the Lumix 14 -140 zoom. It's light and pretty compact and I've gotten great images with it. The focal range is pretty amazing so once it's on the Camera you probably won't take it off. If you need the telephoto range why not have the normal and wide with you too.ALOK G : Lumix 14-140mm is a good general purpose travel lens. It makes the camera a bit larger, but allows a good 28-280mm equivalent length. There is a new 12-60 lens that was released, but I have not seen it yet. If you do get the 14-140, then I recommend pairing with a small prime like the 20mm f/1.7.

Absolutely in love with this camera!!!

This is my first camera and absolutely love the amount of features it has. It's pretty lightweight and easy to carry anywhere, no one really is bothered by the camera when you pull it out to shoot, I feel bigger camera are a complete give away and can put people off. The lenses are very good and I'm looking at the Lumix Series lenses now for more dof.

Good beginners camera

The GX85 12-32mm + 45-150mm makes a great beginners set or lightweight travel camera. The camera still holds up in many situations even in 2023.

Great Camera for Beginner

For someone beginning in photography this is definitely a great buy. The camera works better than I expected. While I'm still trying to get through all the settings, the photos are great.

Good camera but limited and starting to show its age.

Good entry level camera. You can take great pro pictures with this camera if you use it well, the resolution may let you down if you're planning on printing. Noise is not a big issue if you edit with DxO Photolab, I prefer its noise reduction algorithm over lightroom's. I would recommend this camera if you can find it open box or discounted for a significant amount.

Great product - buy extra batteries

I was considering either this package or an Olympus om-d e-m10 mark iv. I chose this because of the better value for the money, plus this had better reviews in Consumer Reports for reliability (not sure how they measure this). I had a small issue with the lens not responding, and they easily swapped it out, no questions asked. I'm a relative novice, and while it takes a while to learn the nuances of the camera, it takes great pictures. You can easily transfer your photos to your cell phone via direct wifi/app. It is a little cludgy, but it works fine once you figure it out. Definitely purchase two additional batteries and a charger. The camera eats through the battery in high-use mode. The

A Nice Camera for Walks & Traveling

Bought as an upgrade from the Panasonic LX-100, point & shoot that I've used for about 5 years. The LX-100 wasn't giving me as much control as I wanted as far as the long end zoom range and I wanted to have the ability to change lenses to suit my needs. I saw this with the 2 lenses at Adorama and decided to buy it. The new features I really like are the touchscreen, which I can use to help focus at different hard to reach angles, I also found the focus stacking feature very useful while using Macro mode (using a macro lens that didn't come with the camera) to get the entire subject in focus. I find that this model being several years newer than the LX-100 also handles low light better and the has a better quality, higher resolution pictures with less noise. The camera is also light, easy to carry and is good for taking on walks and convenient for street photography. I'm very happy and don't have any negative comments on this camera for the time I've used it.

Fantastic Deal for the Budding Photographer

I'm new to anything resembling serious photography and think the camera is fantastic. Versatile, solid in the hand but not heavy, has been pretty easy to use. The two lens kit is very helpful though I know I will add a macro and a longer zoom in the future. Battery life is pretty good except for when WiFi is on. Then it drained quickly. The camera mounted to an existing tripod easily and the app worked well for remote shutter release, though the WiFi range isn't large, about 15 feet before I lost the signal. I'm still learning and experimenting but the camera resolves great detail. Zooming in to jpgs still shows clear details. I've not played with raw yet. The accessory kit Adorama included is a fantastic deal. Multiple important filters, a case, cleaning kit, lots of Corel software and many other great accessories. They cleared my checklist of items to get with the camera and it didn't cost anything extra. Well done!

LUMIX GX85 are killer for Livestream studios

We purchased 4 of these cameras and they have all worked perfectly. As with anything, it takes a little messing around with them to find how they will work best with your setup (we have a livestream studio that produces several different shows) but once we got the settings right, and purchased the right battery pack/ac adapters these have been killer.

Well made camera, ideal for travel

Nice large-pocket camera with a good build. Fits the hand well. Many features to learn in this small package . Unlike most point and shoot cameras, this one accepts a collection of different lens. This package came with two very useful length lens. The battery life seems a bit short ; I may have to buy a spare for uninterrupted shooting.

Great for a camera newbie like me.

This is my first camera that’s not a point and shoot camera. Love that it came as a package deal with lots of accessories. I know that it’s not the best camera out there but for a newbie like me, it has been easy to learn with and has take. Some good pictures. I look forward to finding something to snap some shots of every day. I do wish some of the shortcut buttons were different but I can easily change stuff in the menu. Portraits are a little awkward for me as my fingers like to click buttons while I’m trying to hold the camera straight. Overall a great beginner camera and set of accessories.

Great 2nd camera for travel

Bought this as a second/travel camera and just returned from a trip to Utah. The wide angle lens worked well for the panoramic shots of Zion, Bryce Canyon and Grand Canyon North Rim. Battery easily lasted a full day, as there is not a motorized zoom to eat up power, and the auto shutoff setting worked well.

A lot of good, a little bad, some just meh.

This is coming from a hobbyist not a pro, so keeping that in mind, I love this kit. The camera itself takes beautiful photos (it recommends a higher exposure than my tastes on auto but easily tunable), and even though I am still learning the ins and outs of the settings, it has been very beginner friendly. The kit itself has it's goods and bads. The good: The light, filters, batteries/charger, and cleaning kit. All good items with the kind of quality you would expect from "kit gear", not top of the line, but not bottom of the barrel junk either. The bad: Tripod came broken out of the box. The adjustment collar was snapped (I repaired it with some plastipair, but not everyone has that lying around). The case itself is not great for carrying, everything fits, but it's more like a lunchbox that someone stuck velcro to the sides. The indifferent: The sd card is just that, hard to say any pros or cons. The Corel software can be buggy often losing pictures in it's film strip and crashing when it uses more than 800 MB of RAM, but thats on Corel not building it well not the bundle. The only thing I would change about this bundle to make it really stand out is to add a glass screen protector for the lcd. Otherwise it's a solid bundle that has already helped me capture some of my best pictures to date.
