The lens is light weight. Superfast focusing. Autofocusing with lumix s5 was so sweet. Loved it. Used it on a tracking a mail person shot. I didnt have to do anything. The camera took care of everything.

I bought this one along the lumix s5ii, it is amazingly sharp, works amazing on the autofocus side for video and photo as well, excellent color reproduction and really lightweight.

This lens is amazing for the price. It produces incredible color, and is as sharp as anyone would ever need. The autofocus isn't fast but is fine for studio work. It is constructed well, feels like a pro lens and is a perfect match for the Panasonic S1 or S1R. As long as you respect this lens for its intended purpose: portraits...you can't go wrong. A truly professional, sub-$600 portrait lens...cool.

this lens is nice in size, images are softer than photo lens but for video it is perfect when compare to canon ef 50mm with adapter since i just bought it is hard to give full review ,holding it mounted on s5 feels great in hand i want to mount it on moza air2 gimbal but waiting for it to arrive there many comparison video on the web that show lens performance its is designed for video and gimble applications but does well for photography and other application

I was incredibly surprised when this lens was the same size as the 85 mm by Panasonic. They're delivering on their promise to make them the same size and weight. On top of the fact that it performs superbly well. I love this lens.

This is a great lens to add to your arsenal. The bokeh is better than expected and the focus is fast. Its not as good as the more expensive version but for the price difference, it truly is close enough.

Image quality is good. I like that it is sharp wide open, no need to stop down to improve IQ. Very lightweight, thanks to the cheap plastic build (will it last as long as my metal lenses? Time will tell). VERY tight fit when screwing on/off the camera, much tighter than my 85mm or 20-60 lenses. Makes me nervous that I will damage the weather sealing ring, but it seems fine so far. I bought this lens hoping it would have improved autofocus performance over my other 2 L mount lenses, but no, its just as slow to focus as all the others. That being said, its a nifty 50 with good image quality for a decent price, so Ill keep it for now. Will probably trade it for the 24 or 35mm whenever they are released.

It's pretty much exactly what you would want and expect from a classic 85mm 1.8 - It is very sharp, it has super smooth bokeh and focusing seems to be on par with other L-mount lenses. While it seems a bit large for a 1.8 its very light for its size.

A must have for Sigma fp. This lens is sharp with great versatility from wide angle zoom and almost macro level close-ups. Additionally, auto focus speed is greatly improved with less breathing over kit 45mm sigma lens.
